How to make a 1 Color Stone Lithograph start to finish

  • This video will walk you through making a one color stone lithograph from start to finish using the same methods that I teach my printmaking students. Normally this is a process that I spread across the period of a week or two but I have it condensed into one video. I go through graining the stone, preparing paper with T and Bar registration, Etching the stone, printing the stone, and some troubleshooting steps.

    Great video! Thanks! I’m a subscriber now. I did look for the litho pencils on your website but didn’t find them. Are they still available?

      Alas they used to be there but I have since then removed the listing. I was in the middle of improving the formula to make them stronger but got distracted by making brayers and etching presses. Hopefully I pick that project back up this summer!
