A superhero or superheroine is a stock character who typically possesses superpowers or abilities beyond those of ordinary people, is frequently costumed concealing their identity, and fits the role of the hero; typically using their powers to help the world become a better place, or dedicating themselves to protecting the public and fighting crime. Superhero fiction is the genre of fiction that is centered on such characters,[1] especially, since the 1930s, in American comic books (and later in Hollywood films, film serials, television and video games), as well as in Japanese media (including kamishibai, tokusatsu, manga, anime and video games).
Superheroes come from a wide array of different backgrounds and origins. Some superheroes (for example, Batman and Iron Man) derive their status from advanced technology they create and use, while others (such as Superman and Spider-Man) possess non-human or superhuman biology or use and practice magic to achieve their abilities (such as Captain Marvel and Doctor Strange).[2][3][4] The Dictionary.com definition of "superhero" is "a figure, especially in a comic strip or cartoon, endowed with superhuman powers and usually portrayed as fighting evil or crime",[5] and the Merriam-Webster dictionary gives the definition as "a fictional hero having extraordinary or superhuman powers; also: an exceptionally skillful or successful person."[6] Terms such as masked crime fighters, costumed adventurers or masked vigilantes are sometimes used to refer to characters such as the Spirit, who may not be explicitly referred to as superheroes but nevertheless share similar traits.
Some superheroes use their powers to help fight daily crime while also combating threats against humanity from supervillains, who are their criminal counterparts. Often at least one of these supervillains will be the superhero's archenemy or nemesis. Some popular supervillains become recurring characters in their own right.

Careful @channelpup you don't wanna mess with spiderstan2000....
@@PowerdyGuitar I'm kidding.
29:28 I honestly can’t believe how someone couldn’t like the winter soldier. Honestly the greatest mcu movie ever made imo
I personally prefer Civil War.
omg i remember the Gotham days and when u were at 30K, so happy for you Pup!
Great video Pup! Really enjoyed this one. Here are some of my favorite comic book movies:
Raimi's Spider man 1 & 2, the first avengers movie, winter soldier, the first guardians, age of ultron, ant-man, civil war, tom holland's trilogy, the spider verse films, infinity war and endgame. And since it's recent, I personally was not that big of a fan of guardians 3 or even 2 for that matter, but I can definitely see why people like it. I know this list is all marvel stuff but I've barely seen any other comic book movies outside of that and the ones I did see were ones I didn't really enjoy that much. But yeah, great video once again pup! Hope you enjoy your vacation! (and Happy Easter if you celebrate it btw)
My personal favourite superhero movie is X-men: Days of Futures Past. It’s a very special crossover between the original x-men and the first class x-men that introduces sci fi elements. The sentinels feel like an unstoppable threat adding tension and suspense to the plot. Hugh Jackman as always is great as wolverine but is put in the unique position of going back in time to change the past, thus changing the future. I love how he has to be calm and reserved in this movie compared to his usual anger fuelled Beserker rage we know from the character. But the real stand out in the movie is James McAvoy’s portrayal of Charles Xavier in a state of depression after the events of first class and the Vietnam war. The movie goes out of its way to show how someone so hopeless can find hope again which is nicely juxtaposed to the x-men in the future fighting for hope in a hopeless world. I could go on and on about all the good things I like in this movie: Magneto, John Ottmans score and of coarse the cool quicksilver scene but that would take a while, so I’ll just say this movie is a great superhero movie and a brilliant send off to the singer x-men that I feel should have been the official finale to the x-men series with exception to Logan, or deadpool 1 and 2 if that counts.
agreed
even thought Robert Pattinson probably the best live action batman Kevin conry will always be the definitive batman
the first spiderman in the raimi trilogy. or spiderverse but idk if you are counting animation
Enjoyed this one, I like these off the cuff videos, chill but engaging commentary.
Same
The thing about what your saying about all of what Superman did for everyone in Zack Snyder's DC universe is that I would of preferred if instead of at the end. When he makes that ultimate sacrifice the characters wanted to live up to the ideology of what Superman was and move on and make the world a better place because of the memory of what he stood for. Instead they are like. Oh this world can't make it another day without him we got to bring him back now. Lazarus pit style. A bit much. Lol 16:28
Superman (1978) is an absolute must watch and one of favorite films of all time
Watch SUPERMAN EPIC
Big respect about your recognition for Iron Man 3. That movie is actually quite good and gets too much hate.
Regal is rereleasing all the spiderman movies on Mondays. Starting with spiderman 1 on April 15.
Some of my favorite comic book movies are The Dark Knight trilogy, The Batman, X-Men Days of Future Past, Spider-Man No Way Home, The Suicide Squad (2021), the Snyder Cut, Avengers Infinity War/Endgame (I count them both together), Captain America the Winter Solder, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Iron Man, Black Panther, the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy, Thor Ragnarok, Across the Spider-Verse, TMNT Mutant Mayhem, and Superman (1978).
Once again, great points with opinions to back. Dude really is levelheaded
For me its Tasm 1 it holds a special place in my heart quite literally(I had heart surgery when i saw it) same with nwh i was able to say goodbye to Andrew which was something I didnt know I needed. Followed by the Spiderverse movies and The Batman, Harley Quinn and birds of prey(it was fun and i love thd soundtrack) and of course the Dark knight trilogy (I never had connected with batman but damn does he has amazing movies)
Great job man on this awesome video of best Superhero movies of all time.
New pup just dropped on a dope ass topic? I'm here 🫡
The Amazing Spider-Man isn’t just a movie to me. It helped me process my grief over my uncles death. It helped me feel that I actually mattered even when I was 3 years old I still felt that I didn’t belong. Over time learning I had autism made this more understandable but up until last year I was like why the fuck do people treat me like shit. The movies final monologue from Uncle Ben hit me so hard. Peter feels like a fully fleshed out human. He’s a pretty selfish guy at the start who suffers from deep abandonment issues because his parents walked out on him. Yes he loves his uncle and his aunt they are irreplaceable to him but he never knew his parents and he feels alone in the world because of this. He’s not a nerd or anything he’s just a really sad guy who listens to Coldplay and skateboards. We see Peters romantic side with Gwen Stacy. Gwen isn’t just Peters love interest she’s the only friend he has. She actually helps Peter as Spider-Man and doesn’t scream or make Peter feel like crap like another Spider-Man love interest. Peter feels extreme guilt over not obeying George Stacy’s final wishes but he figures out even though George has Gwens best interests at heart and is a pretty good dad it’s not his place to decide how his daughters future will go. It’s up to Gwen and Peter. Together they are stronger. Peter doesn’t idolise Gwen and Gwen doesn’t rely solely on Peter. The way the cinematography and suit are done is really nice. We get an extremely fresh reimagining of Peters Spider-Man suit that utilises real world elements and grounds this Spider-Man in reality. This complements the extremely realistic dialogue and the focus on Peters mental state and his personal journey of realising his self worth. The city lifts Peter up and the crane scene shows Spider-Man’s impact both in the fictional world and the real world. When I was younger this is the character I connected deeply with. He still is. I have a bike with the Amazing Spider-Man on it. I have a figure that is sadly lost of this Spider-Man suit. The impact he’s had on me can’t be summed up in words. This movie may not be perfect but it is perfect to me. Andrew Garfield captures every aspect of the character. Tobey and Tom are good but Andrew is and probably will always be the definitive live action Spider-Man. I can’t wait to experience this movie again and I am prepared to skip school to watch it in the theatres. I will be screaming like a child when Spider-Man makes his suit or when he swings across the cranes. Thank you to Emma Stone, Marc Webb, Alvin Sargent, Rhys Ifans, James Horner, Denis Leary, Sally Field, Martin Sheen and special thanks to the legend himself Andrew Garfield for making me feel that I’m not alone and that it’s okay to feel how I feel.
enjoy your vacation good sir !!

Spider-Man 2
Deadpool
Zack Snyder's Justice League
The Suicide Squad
The Dark Knight
The Batman
The Lego Batman Movie
Spider-Man is an all time superhero who’s been prominent for the last 50+ years. Miles I don’t see him lasting another 10 years in the spotlight. Not because he’s not popular but because without Spider-Man he’s nothing, and a great man said “if your nothing without the suit then you shouldn’t have it”
Exactly
Man of Steel 9/10
Batman V Superman Dawn of Justice 8/10
Zack Snyder's Justice League 10/10
You'll hate me for this, but Batman V Superman Dawn of Justice is one of very few films that me and my wife have turned off midway through. We just weren't gelling with the tone, the story of that interpretation of the characters.
Was it the theatrical or ultimate cut out of curiosity?
@ChannelPup we were watching at home, so I think the extended cut? Not 100% sure though.
Wow, i finally caught one of these pretty dang early. 2nd?
In another Universe this video is a Beyond the Spider-Verse review.
It hurts.
When was superman willing to sacrifices himself for earth?
1. Wonder Woman
2. Batman v Superman
3. Into the Spider-Verse
4. Megamind
5. Ghost in the Shell 2
6. Logan
7. Ghost in the Shell '95
8. Man of Steel
9. The Batman
10. Shang-Chi
Dark jnight for me. No competition bcs its so good
Spider-Man 2. Next
Really shaking the wasps nest huh pup?
I can't wait for the WORST superheroes movies list video to come next.
I still love the Rami trilogy but I fell out of love with them by the time I was 9 because Peter didn't feel like a real person by the 3rd movie
Yo bro, I did not know you're mates with Quinton
Oh yeah we've been buds for around a decade now. I was there at the start of his RUclips channel. He's a lovely guy.
@@ChannelPup I saw your avatar in his Live Action Fairy Odd Parents video and it jumped out to me like, I KNOW THAT GUY
Spiderman Homecoming 8/10
Spiderman Far From Home 9/10
Spiderman No Way Home 10/10
Why didn't you include Winter Soldier :'(
Channaw pawp
Batman killing was apart of his character until a certain law came in so the dceu technically got batman right but none of these are objective because they change with different writers so the hate and criticism is completely braindead and unwarranted
Logan?
In my opinion
1) the winter soldier is amazing and better than civil war
2) guardians 3 is the best of the trilogy and vol 2 is the worst
3) the dark knight is the best Batman film
4) days of future past has held up to the test of time better than first class did
First ❤
Spiderman is 10/10
Spiderman 2 is 10/10
Spiderman 3 is 8/10
Here are my top five favorites:
5. Spider-Man 3
4. Spider-Man 2
3. Superman (1978)
2. Spider-Man (2002)
1. Superman 2
I will say this though, Captain America 1 could've been the greatest superhero movie ever, but it really wasted its potential.
Just curious, Which cut of Superman 2? Theatrical or Donner cut?
@@samuelmackenzie5267 I've only seen the Donner cut.
