How sick is it that in a couple years these guys would storm the world everywhere with in the round shows! I was lucky enough to see them in '87. Amazing and so influential into my appreciation for what these lads could do! \m/
What a glorious time for music the 80's had so much to offer! so many great bands either just breaking out like Def Leppard or bands in the prime of their spotlight ,to many great albums to mention here but ones like the awesome Pyromania, or Dio's Holy Diver, Priests, Defenders, Motley's Shout, The Cult's Love and everything inbetween!,If you could only go back....
I have seen Def Leppard live at least 15 times, but I stopped going to see them the last ten years because of their setlist. Their setlist the last five times I have been to were identical. In all those times I have seen them live they have never played even one song from On Through The Night album or songs like Lady Strange, Me And My Wine, On Through The Night, Too Late For Love, Stagefright, Die Hard The Hunter, or one of my favorites Billy's Got A Gun. If they ever changed up their setlist and added some of these songs I would most likely go see them again. The first three studio albums are my favorites especially High N Dry. They are all MASTERPIECES to me.
You got me runnin has only been played live once so has me and my wine! and comin under fire hasn't. There's so many songs they deliberately ignore and I'm annoyed. I'd they played these songs + lady strange I'd go and watch them
Neil Tipton Me, too! I became a super fan with Pyromania. I did see them on the Hysteria tour and recently as well. This was Def in their prime, with my Steve.
I’ve been a fan since the beginning and seen them many times with Steve Clark and with rick Allen and his two arms, Steve will always be missed and be forever great but my band is still out there doing there thing for us ( yes and money too) but we are the ones that pay to see them so it’s for us, joes voice has changed because he’s been singing all these years since and come on he’s older now as are we, but let me tell you he gives it his all out there yeah during these recent years when I have seen them his voice has given out some but who cares real fans will just say it’s ok well help you sing these songs 😊😔, I’ll keep going as long as they come out and play for us and Vivian does a great job. Been so close to the stages when seeing them especially this last time in June. Next show meet and greet. Gotta meet my favorite band. Love you guys and miss you Steve.
Yep and diehard was all steve! Live versions show both alternating on diehard but that was solely steve. Phil did rock til you drop, stagefright, photograh. Theres a vid of steve saying phil just did those 3.. and never leftt! Live shows show even soloing between terror twins. Humble man steve maynard was
Def Leppard at its best, apart from On through the Night. On through the night is mostly Heavy Metal High a dry is superb hard rock laced with Metal guitar riffs .Love them both.
WOW! Long time ago! I love you Guy's so much seems like yesterday and now 2018! Still Rocking Oh Yeah & will continue as long as you Guys want. Love this song 🖤🔥🖤
What ever happened to my sleeveless Union Jack shirt? The shorts were way to small, as I remember and I was a skinny medium back then. Sigh. Me, that shirt, my mullet, my parachute pants and moon boots. I was untouchable, I tell ya! Rock on brothers and sisters .
I was 16 then and this was before Rick Allen lost his arm and your other issues happened l sure wish I could find a way to see you guys live instead of on a phone
they are in their early 50s now, bands change over the years, plus once steven clark died that was the end of leppard for me, my last album i bought was ADRENALIZE because some of steves riffs were on that album, no wait i take that back the last album i bought was the one with steve on it in 1994 retroactive
saw the Pyro tour but they were opening for Billy Squier....He blew them off the map...this song is so good and no matter what High n Dry will always and Forever be the greatest they ever did! Now check this out....32 shows opening for Squier....then they headlined Pyromania TOUR....then Billy Squier could Not blow them off the stage! Saw them again on Hysteria tour with Tesla...Adrenalize tour I saw with no opener (an evening with Def Leppard ) 2 hours with a brief intermission halfway through....Saw them on RetroActive with Ugly Kid Joe....saw them on Slang with Tripping Daisy....saw them a couple more before the Sparkle Tour with Billy Idol(he was miles better)....haven't seen them since and in 2019 I just kinda had enough.....E V E R Y one of the tours was like a repeat of the same 17 hits over and over....starting with Adrenalize and beyond....Saw them in 2005 with Bryan Adams ......The best tour of all was HYSTERIA......hands down....I met Phil and got a photo in 2003.....super nice guy.....Joe? Sav? Not so super nice as they walked by 4 fans and wouldn't say hi or even acknowledge that they were there....Didn't see Viv or Allen nearby at the time....still a cool thing to meet Phil!
I swear its a toss up for me high n dry or pyromania. I might have to go with high, but early Def leppard is so damn good, after pyro its spotty but even songs like paper sun sound like classic leppard
Sav is like watch DimeBag's ghost operating in texas in 84 ! Go look at the Projects in the Jungle and Metal Magic years before you tear it apart ! you'll see !
@@kevinmahoney1995 its very sad. All they play now are three songs from pyromania and all their new stuff. I wish they could focus more on there first two albums.
High N Dry. Probably one of the best straight guitar rock albums in history, if not THE best.
AMEN!
Love it bro 🤘🔥
Thin lizzy but still
Pyromania was awesome.
@@rainerwinkler1026 yes
One of the most underrated songs from the High and Dry album.
+Larry Starstruck the B side of high and dry is generally underrated imo
Larry Starstruck this by far as a whole album is their masterpiece
MIRROR MIRROR (Look into my eyes) is the most underrated song from this album.
Vjeran Hursijevic at least it is still played live
Great great song
Steve Clark was a master! He was the soul of this band in the 80s, when they were at their best!
Hugely under-rated song. Love playing the solo in the car at full volume with the windows down!
I hope we cross paths someday
Solo rips the ears from the skull good
Rick Allen was a kick ass drummer back then and he's a kick ass drummer now!!!!
Freaking Steve Clark. You are missed.
Stevie was all pure self talent and self taught !
ThePsychicSasquatch Forever missed.
Steve was classically trained. He did a year of school before leopard.
I'd love to hear that live!!! I've been to a few shows where they played Side 1 of High n Dry
ThePsychicSasquatch come on Steve get it!!

Early 80’s were great after the 3rd l.p about 85 it turn to shit!
my number 1 song of all time.
saw the hig-n-dry tour in 1981 when willis was w/them, toured w/blackfoot at the time.
the opening riff reminds me of thin lizzy!!!! this song is one the best leppard songs ever!!!
Brad Finch The followthrough riff reminds me of Ac/Dc
i agree with that Brad
Joe Elliot said in an interview that they were a huge inspiration and ,lady stranges first seconds are straight thin lizzy' love me some thil lizzy
Probably my favorite leppatd song. Love this raw video. These dudes totally used to rock.
I was 8 in 1983 lmao. But loved this song when I got older.

Amazing song!
Seeing this I had a flashback to a Ludwig ad I had taped to my wall with Rick and the chrome finish set with flames shooting up around it.
Awesome performance
Nailed it live... 🎸
Holy shit! Incredible performance. Incredible find!
