That dish looks fantastic. Potato and mince always go so well together, the potato absorbs so much flavour, all with that added "My little kitchen" magic
Your food makes me cry - in the best way. Thank you for sharing these special recipes with the world. While i understand it may be everyday cuisine for some it’s definitely a special treat for many. Food is so connecting and transformative. Please keep sharing!
I make all my curries from scratch and I just ran put of base gravy - doh! So seeing this was perfect timing. Most comments say it 'looks' delicious but I've actually made it, and it is. I added less water because there was plenty in the tomatoes and potatoes. Next time I'll cut the recipe in half because there's enough here to feed a scout jamboree. Any left overs will go in the freezer. So give it a go because it's Tickety Boo !
After cooking lots of your recipes and enjoying them all. I totally hooked on this kind of food I have been eating curry since I was young probably 12 years old, I'm now 67 years old and yours is the best food I've had thank you so much for posting. I appreciate your hard work and effort shearing your knowledge and skills with us to benefit from Thank you again
Nice to see a meal that’s been cooked with proper ingredients. I’m heartily sick of ‘cooks’ on RUclips who use canned soup and huge bags of cheese in every recipe. And everything chucked into a crockpot!!!I’d love to try this lamb dish!!
thanks very much, ill cook this for my family this week, i love the simplicity, its looks so tasty thanks for sharing, i am pleased to have found your challel
Watched this video on Saturday eve and decided to make it Sunday following the recipe exactly and it's absolutely beautiful! Ur videos/recipes are so easy to follow, keep up the good work!
Hey Shamza. I used this exact recipe and used lamb knuckles. It came out amazing and the gravy was thick and delicious. alternated between a roti and basmati rice. Next level tip all… make it and have it the next day. It tastes even better 🤗 Great the same day but legendary the next day IMHO!!!!
Hi! Great recipe for the ultimate Desi comfort food. I haven’t seen one of your videos for a while, but am so happy you got a bigger pot! Enameled cast iron no less! Great job!
Did this dish your way and went down a treat with all here, love the way you cook and how you keep it simple, also done the onion bhaji and the tikka masala, love the channel please keep going 👍
Hello from Huddersfield. You make Indian cookery look so easy for us novice cooks. I trust your recipes totally but was surprised no cumin in this dish.
This looks divine! I can eat beef, so use beef mince instead as lamb mince is naturally fattier (although has more flavour). I think I'm going to cook this tonight, thank you!!
The alo kema looks great will give that a go at the week end I done the kebabs over the weekend and they were a hit b/4 I would get to them they were all gone ( so well done on them ) Let’s see what happens with the alo kema Kind regards Chris
I have neally given thought to mince meat in a curry.... but this looks great... i love lamb, i love potatoes and i love curry what not to.like! Really good clear instruction too!
Top recipe my dear! Keema Aloo for me is the king of Indian dishes not just for its taste but simplicity as well. I add extra chilli but that's just because I'm a spice monkey. Lol!
It's great to see you re do recipes again (your previous aloo and keema was lovely) but I bet this one is out of this world! Please shamza can you re do the enda kofte lamb. Thank you x
Hi! Thankyou for this ! Just did it with plant based minced meat - it was super delicious. I have a little sifficult understand how much of the spices you use? Is it the whole small bowls ? I would love to get the real taste so a recipe would be great. Do you know if there is a similar recipe but you use chickpeas instead? ❤
Check out the description box where I've listed all the ingredients with quantities. No I don't have a recipe that is similar to this which uses chickpeas instead.
Hi, i love the idea of cooking this dish, thankyou for sharing it. Can you suggest the amount of Garlic and Ginger paste equivalent to the frozen cubes you used please? Alternatively, can you suggest where i can buy the frozen cubes from, thanks 🙂
I suffer from extreme insomnia and there are very few positives about it but I have to say that seeing your recipe page and this recipe in particular is very welcome from an Irish man in Birmingham who loves a curry but rarely makes one
Keep up the great work Shamsa and congratulations on 100k subscribers Inshallah your channel will continue to grow as you generously share these wonderful recipes for all of us ❤
I’ve never tried cooking Indian food at home but would like to try. In recipes such as this can beef be used in place of lamb or does it impact the dish too much? This looks fantastic!
Looks amazing and I bet it tastes delicious 😊 thank for sharing and taking us thru the process step by step. Being from Cape Town, South Africa, our parents to make the food go further, she would put in frozen peas. 😊

Mince and totties
When you eat this food you become strong
This is one of my favorites, this and keema roti with Raita soo many dishes are delicious!
I make this dish quite often, with the addition of a couple of black cardamom (love the smoky flavour) and a few curry leaves.

My favourite dish! Thank you!

And for the leftover keema (not potatoes) , try mixing it with red sauce for spaghetti. Youll get some serious desi bologonese!!
looks delicious, so does the food

I'm going to give it a go.
Does it matter what potatoes you use?
You want something that will hold its shape, i normally use red potatoes, baking potatoes may disintegrate if cooked for too long.
Thank you for the recipe! I'm going to make this for dinner😍
Hope you like it!
Wow 👍
Thanks. I made the recipe using Quorn instead of mince and it was a success. Will definitely repeat

A very popular dish in a Pakistani household.

Yes you can.

Hi lovely dish
The water you use is it cold or hot?
Normally cool from the kettle. You can use warm water, it won't make much difference.
My boys won't eat this but me n my daughter will! My daughter loves curry with potato. Thanks x
excellent video
