My Mother was furious but they were friends to all of us for many years. They made the grim 1970's that much kinder.

I am with you. I rarely go to Indian restaurants now as I can cook food at least as good for a third of the price. Many of my go to recipes come from here and I will be trying this one soon

Another fabulous recipe 😋 I am going to be making this at the weekend. All the ingredients are prepped. To be healthier, I'm having it with cauliflower rice. I'm becoming a dab hand at making your curries. They are simple to make and not over complicated. I don't feel like a novice cook anymore. A big shout 🙌 out to you❤

Helo Mam. Very grateful for the simple but yummy recipes. My only problem is we can't eat too spicy food. Been tempted to n ate a few times, but paid the price. I'm from SA. We do get mild spices but the downside of that is the color of the curry is not very appealing. I wud appreciate any suggestions if u have. I watched this video n knew that if I wanted to make it I'd hav to leave out all the chillies. How do i keep that delicious color if not by lessening masala. Thank u. God bless
You can use the kashmiri chilli powder which is not too spicy and not use the green chillies or the normal chilli powder, this should give you the colour

Bhuna is a process of cooking a curry which helps create flavour and depth. The word bhuna refers to the cooking process. The reason why garam masala is added at the end of the cook is so it enhances the overall flavour of the finished dish with warm, aromatic flavours rather than being added at the beginning which will result in the flavours being lost in the curry. I've noticed several Asian online chefs like yourself using olive oil more and more. Do you feel its an acceptable alternative to say Ghee, Rapeseed Oil etc please?

The word bhun/bhuna means to saute/ cook/ fry the meat in the masala, etc

A bhuna masala sauce is quite textured but again feel free to change the recipe to suit your own personal preference.

Would the process take longer if I was substituting the chicken for lamb. And should I brown the lamb first.
Yes lamb takes longer to cook. You may if you want to I normally don't.

Not enough coriander
You can always add more if you want
Can i use sunflower oil instead of olive oil?
No because that is the leading cause of inflammation. Seed oils like vegetable sunflower and rapeseed oil. Olive is better.
You can use what you like, any flavourless should do. We use the olive oil blend at home.
