And the brinjal curry is a special curry it is called "Enngaayi" means brinjal fried in an oil based curry. That recipe has special ingredient that is powdered and added it is Niger seeds, that is black thin pieces like jeera. Another that yellow square piece that they served initially is called "Junka vadi", steamed besan vada recipe. These are some authentic recipes in the meals you had :)
