The Puig touring screen made a huge difference on my FZ-10. It looks awesome as it keeps the gray trim piece on the bottom.

Swapping out the seat for a Corbin with the backrest as well as swapping out the passenger pegs for those on the Tracer 9 makes the passenger experience way better!

I have heard the tracer pegs are great! I’m just trying to find someone breaking or selling some!

I’ve got the mt10 and yes the pegs are defo a problem for pillion, but now I know I can get the tracer ones I’ll defo order them, the bike does drink a lot of fuel, but tbh I don’t mind that as I have a lot of fun on it, bike is amazing

I am torn between the 2024 tracer and the unannounced 2024 mt10. One thing I really don't like about the tracer is the way the exhaust looks. Not really a deal breaker though.

Quite different bikes to be torn between! Depends on what you’re going to use it for! I’d go with the heart. You’ll be disappointed if
      you don’t!

@@BikeLikeMike92 here's the thing. Most of my riding will be no more than 100 to 200 miles out. I'm not going to be doing wheelies or seeing how fast I can take a curve. If I wind up with the tracer, I'll probably be riding most of the time without the panniers. The only thing I don't like on the tracer is the way the exhaust looks. Not really a deal breaker though. Mt10, I know I will need a windscreen (a tall one) and a comfort seat ( $618 for the Corbin). I'm not going to do anything until I get to sit on the 2024 Mt 10 or the tracer for that matter. It's kind of hard to find what you want here in the US

    • @BikeLikeMike92

@@Charlie-fc1mh well, defo ride both… MT does do pretty much everything well. But the tracer will be a nice comfy ride with practicality. Guess you’ll be stuck with the exhaust as it will possibly void any warranty you will have.

@@BikeLikeMike92 watched a video yesterday where a guy here in the US took the stock exhaust off of his tracer and replaced it with a full akropovic system. As soon as he installed it, he was out riding. That thing sounded bad ass. I asked if he had it remapped and he said he hasn't had the time yet, lmao

I take my wife on the back of my mt10 2022 she is 5.7 and the pegs is the only thing she complained about so cheers for the heads up brw I use a comfort seat

Not sure if you saw my other comments, but I think akropovic makes a plug and play full system (euro 5) for the tracer. Leo Vince may have the same. I need to do some more research on it

Well, here I go again. If I do wind up getting the mt10, it will get the Corbin gunfighter seat. Yes, it's expensive at $618 us. However, you get what you pay for.

So i have a 2019 GSA 1200TE, great bike but not for me.
I was contemplating the mt10, but i hear you're lucky to fet 120 miles to a tank? I only ride solo. If i could get 140 miles i think I'd consider one. Or it's a case of buying a 900Rally Pro and having the mt10SP as the weekend toy/765rs.

I think if you’re careful you could, but you’d have to be mindful the whole time you’re riding the bike that you want to maximise fuel consumption. If you want more comfort and range the 900 will beat the MT10 for touring everyday. MT is all about fun and not much else 😅

Hey, so many thing I’m not gonna lie! Google will be your friend here. Prep a lot, prepare. Get a good top box, tyre repair kit, high vis, basic tool set, small medkit, waterproofs, breathable underwear like a gym top I found really nice, clear and tinted visors, don’t overpack - wear a shirt for a couple days etc! Make sure you are insured and covered if all goes wrong, good sat nav, battery packs… list goes on really. I over prepared and it paid off well. The top box really was great too, didn’t have to mess about strapping a bag down like some of my mates did.

Gotta trade the good with the bad. BMW GS probably has better fuel economy but it doesn’t sound like thunder going through the mountains 😍

It does depend on the ride though. I got used to my fuel light turning on around 120-130 miles but one day when riding the North Coast 500 we were pretty much at 50mph all day, in ride mode 2 since it was raining. I genuinely began to wonder if there was something wrong with my fuel gauge when I got to 170miles and no fuel light had come on. Still had half a tank left.
