My favorite part is how they gave the abominable snowman a happy ending and explained why he was banished in the first place, and I'm curious how it fits into the Pixar Theory.

I actually loved this show. Watched it with my wife and we really enjoyed the new characters and the concept of learning to adapt from scream power to laugh power. The last episode really stuck the landing for us. It’s light hearted and fun.
I went into Monsters at Work ready to hate it. And I didn't. I loved how it was actually a midquel, that explored a period that I hadn't really thought about before, and it showed a lot more of the factory, some of my favourite moments were just the MIFTers going about the inter workings, like when they have to go find the mini-monster and they're travelling around on the rails. The characters were all pretty likeable too, the only one that I never fully warmed to was Fritz, but the rest made up for it. I hate it when references are overdone, but this balanced it really well. Bringing back and properly fleshing out the Abominable Snowman's backstory and why he actually got banished. One thing I thought they could have done for a second season was having Tylor helping Mike recover pieces of Boo's door, however after finally watching the final episode I guess that can't be done. I don't know how much more I want them to continue the show, but if they can surprise me once, I'm sure they can do it again.
The thing with the "adorable snowman" isn't really a reckon when you think about it because remember when we first see him in monsters Inc it cuts to him Mike and Sully in the cave meaning they could have catched up briefly between that time and the time they first saw each other also in monsters university he just says that tampering with the mail is a crime suitable by banishment it was never said that's how we got banished because if I recall in the show they said he got banished for finding out about water nooses plans I don't remember if it had anything to do with the mail
I see *_Monsters at Work_* as super similar to that of *_Star Wars: The Clone Wars_* in that it bridges the gap between Waternoose's arrest and Sulley's reunion with Boo in the same way that TCW bridges the gap between *_Attack of the Clones_* and *_Revenge of the Sith_* including that we get to see both series go right into the latter half of the franchise. It takes several episodes form him to have a notable character. In theory he's the straight-man to a room full of comics, but in some scenes he's more of a bland slate for them to bounce off of than a comedic foil. Less Kermit the Frog, more Sam the Eagle.
This show was alright. It had some pretty good moments, but I feel like it took sooooooo long for it to actually get to the end since every episode was like... THE SAME Tyler would always learn to put other's needs above his own, and that was the same theme that occurred in every episode

My whole family loved this show! My dad and I were talking about what they should do in the second season, and maybe they could show how the laugh power switch effected the OK frat house members. Maybe Mike could try to teach the dean to be funny!

Loved this video! The guy who voices Tylor, Ben Feldman was in another workplace comedy called superstore that this show also has a lot of parallels to.
One thing I hope from the new season is to see the Oozma Kappa boys again. I personally don't know if it would suit the series, but i think it would be interesting to see especially because all of them went on to be scarers at Monsters Incorporated and they would make great jokesters too - especially Art!
You know I really appreciate how every new character was developed by the end. My personal theory after the third episode or so was that Tylor would find physical comedy to be his shtick and then turn down the offer of being a jokester to stay with mift so I was probably more surprised than you when Fritz emptied his desk and all the joke stuff was still there. A gorgeous ending that not only matched that of monsters inc but improved the sentiment also sitcoms are always a win from me
I hope we get a series 2 and for one reason. They mention fear co, a energy company that uses scream still, I was waiting for the episode when he was approached by someone from fear co to live his true dream. I think this is something that if they wanted to could become a series arc or a multi part episode.
Before I watch the video, I watched each episode the day they released and enjoyed them. After watching the video, I agree with everything that you've said, and this video made me enjoy this show even more.

The Monster inc fanchise is one of my comfort franchises. My favorite movie was University(i always watch it). So when i heard there would be a show for the franchise i was excited and boy was I not disapointed!!!!! I loved all the characters(Ducun was m favorite hat wasn't sully and Tyler) and loved all the old characters! I loved how you see things between Tyler with Mift and not being able to be a scarer and then you get to see how Mike and Sully handle running the whole Laugh power. I also love how the show even goes deep to showing how many react after they changed scare power to laugh power. It showed the struggles all the monsters are now having and shows monsters even losing jobs. Mike and sully's momments were my favorite. I was happy to see my favorite duo back again. And Mift was the highlight of the show! Val was so cute and funny I enjoyed her happy and bubbly personality, and I also loved how she can sometimes be serious and she shows so much love and care for everyone in mift. Throughout the whole show I felt bad for Tyler since he was told that he'd be a scarer only to find out that they aren't doing it anymore. The show is such a gem and I cried during the finale(me and my whole color guard team did) and in honor of the show and the franchise my team all changed our group me pfp's to a monsters inc character. I was sully :D
Wanna know what happens to after Sulley opens Boo's Door? Play the Monstropolis level in Kingdom Hearts 3. The Pixar crew who consulted for KH3 has stated they see the events in Monstropolis (and Toy Box) as canon to Monster's Inc and Toy Story movies.
Im glad you enjoyed the show. Honestly they couldve had this show continue on for another season if they kept that at least the last 3 episodes as their finally. At least thats one way to look at it of course they can do another season off the Tylors ,Mike ,and Sully story because overall this is Monster at Work not Tylors laugher or Mike and Sully sequel .Though for me i think it was a nice midquel for the franchise but if they really want to make another pixar story show my vote is A Bugs Life
A lot of animes have skits at the end of the show, often post-credits. My Hero Academia and Demon Slayer are two which come to mind. The characters will typically break the fourth wall to make a joke about what happened in the episode you just watched, or tease the next episode.
My personal favorite films and films that shaped me are Shrek 1 and 2 and The Monsters inc films so I was very excited for this show and I love it as well as that heavenly theme song and I just read yesterday that there WILL be a season two so good Job Pixar
I loved it have already watched it many times over and my 3 year old daughter is now obsessed with it too. Its nice that it has carried on into the next generation. Monsters at work started strong and finished strong!
Something interesting to note is that at one point it's 200 degrees outside. That simply does not happen on Earth, unless we add in the element of the greenhouse effect brought upon by the pollution in WALL-E. I feel like they added that detail just for the Pixar Theory.
Just so you know buddy, I’ve been watching your videos for years because you tell me about parts of the world I would otherwise never get to hear about. Your intelligent and well versed in all the stuff you talk about so I trust your opinion. I loved it!! It answered my questions, preserved the world, and gave us a brilliant story and great characters
I read somewhere that Henry Winkler said there would be a season 2 so it's a possibility! If there is a season 2 i need to see more of banana bread. He was so funny
Can't say I've watched Monsters at Work yet, but now it's a definite possibility. I was sceptical, but your review has just made me want to watch the series.
The amount of words Seamus can get out between breaths is impressive
Hey, Seamus. Will you review Shang-Chi?
Im glad you enjoyed the show.
Honestly they couldve had this show continue on for another season if they kept that at least the last 3 episodes as their finally. At least thats one way to look at it of course they can do another season off the Tylors ,Mike ,and Sully story because overall this is Monster at Work not Tylors laugher or Mike and Sully sequel .Though for me i think it was a nice midquel for the franchise but if they really want to make another pixar story show my vote is A Bugs Life
0:32 Seamus predicts reaching 470,000 subscribers
By the way, so far most Disney shows have gotten renewed 3 months later so we have to 3 months to be sure.
I loved this series so much too! I think the only thing I didn't like the the blue Mike Wisowski and Val(in the 1st couple of episodes)
I can agree on shamus with monsters University
Same
When he said my three favourite movies I knew exactly what he was talking about
Day 70 of asking Seamus to talk about Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2.
There were giant canisters at the end of monsters inc? Dammit is been 20 years how did I not notice?
I thought it started slow but got good and I loved the ending
Your opinion. Don't care
Your humor. I love it
*_i haven't seen this channel in YEARS!_*
Disney actually made the show, not Pixar. So this is definitely a Disney Sequels video
Just so you know buddy, I’ve been watching your videos for years because you tell me about parts of the world I would otherwise never get to hear about. Your intelligent and well versed in all the stuff you talk about so I trust your opinion. I’d like to know your opinion on the movie because I’ll never watch it and I’m genuinely interested how Pixar is doing these days lol
last time I was this early "Ello there how you doin?!" was the intro
