I think that it's a really big statement that he, as a Brit made by showing that he has more respect for the anthem than so many of our American millionaire athletes do.
Standing up against systemic racism is not a political issue it’s a human rights issue. It comes down to ones morality. How about Jeff Beck tho! Legend! 🔥

I have seen all the four greatest guitarist live, clapton ,beck, page, hendrix, Best in my opinion The Superior one is definately Beck, although for once and once only Hendrix played this anthem better. From Becks defense he probanbly did not have sufficient time to rehearse this one.
Okay, I've seen 3 out of 4. But I think you should amend your statement to say the 4 greatest rock guitarists. And even that isn't certain. But there are other guitar players out there from different genres. You really can't compare the great jazz guitarists with the great rock guitarists. You can't compare the acoustic players either.
I've also seen 3 out of those 4, but I have also seen a few more that could easily be considered in the upper tier of guitar legends. Gilmour, Blackmore, SRV, Buddy Guy, Muddy Waters, Carlos Santana, Rory Gallagher, many many many more. Jeff Beck playing live is an out of this world experience. You are constantly shaking your head and thinking, "How does he DO that??"
I certainly enjoyed his show at The Fillmore that night. Need to remember to buy earplugs, or not stand by the speakers, if I am ever lucky enough to see him again.
@@lawrencesprau1935 I should be more confident, but I confirmed it (Fillmore) via JamBase. Reminds me that I didn't hear old favorites like "Freeway Jam" and "Goin' Down," but got to hear "A Day In The Life" and as an encore, "How High The Moon."
@pincheSoetoro Well you have misinterpreted my post. What I was trying to say without saying it is that we have our opinions about such subjective things like music and musical taste. I am very modest, but I also know I have great deals of experience in my taste and music. I can't argue with someone about their taste, so telling me I'm clueless was probably the wrong thing to say to someone like myself. I don't know if that was in Detroit but Jeff Beck loved Detroit muscle cars and he was a bowhunter he made his own bow and his own heroes man we lost and credible one Lord heavenly father help us to go forward in this brave new world
There is no other I made him a no caster thank you its 5 lbs and he played green onions and train kept a rollin on it with Imelda Mays band. I was 2 feet from Clapton as he stepped off stage @ Crossroads that Saturday night and Jeff was there a night early to see the SRV tribute sitting stage right he flew in and surprised EC. So when he came off stage I told him as I tried to keep from crying and make words form right that id made this guitar and wanted him to have it.. He asked whats a NO CASTER and Imagine me being able to wax poetic about how Leo originally made them and tell the entire history before Slowhand got back to speak to Jeff. The greatest thing I ever did was turn my manufacturing pass around to look like all the other passes that day and turned my Sons around and a buddy of mine who stood with my Son in both horror and awe as I walked up getting out of Claptons way and going to Jeff and saying ive made you a guitar its locked up in the show hall and the police wont let me get it right now but I can bring it too you tomorrow.. I was to give Eric a 58 strat and security didnt fall for my Rouse the following day so I mailed the guitar anyway over the pond to Ralph who was Jeffs manager at the time and the guitar tech personally took it to the castle. the last tune I played testing the guitar was train kept a rollin before shipping it and there is no way Jeff knew that and he comes out at Ronnie Scotts club and plays it. Bout fell off me chair the whos who list of top rockers were in the audience that night to watch that. imagine if you will what you would do if Eric Clapton came off first and Jeff Beck was next it started to freak me hard and Jeff being so calm and a pro knew it and asked me Whots a no casta ? and I got to tell him he plays mine....he had 5 strats with him and one old old real tele and I thought ok he said he owns many guitars and alot of them are shite.... in fact he named them in tape on the top horn and one was called " bag of shite " cause it gave him tuning troubles.... I didnt want to give him tuning troubles and id met Ronnie Montrose and asked him to play it before I sent it and he urged me to use these brass compensated saddles that fixed the issue of g to b string being out of tune for triads. When the kings of the stage make suggestions I listened and sent both original type bridge and the compensated ones on the guitar so I know it rang like a bell and true . the fact my Son and Friend were there to witness me roll the dice on getting arrested that night was all the better and Clapton in fact did see the 58 black strat and asked what I wanted for it the night before to which I said it belonged to my brother and he would kill me if I sold it when I told my brother that after the show he said GO BACK AND GIVE ERIC CLAPTON THE GUITAR. Like I could just hop in the way back machine and hop over and find them all... I tried the following day but security would not have it. When my buddy saw Clapton paw that strat and smell it to see how old it was he turned to me and said well its all down hill from here from now on out for you Frey I said why would you say that Chigga his nickname was Chigga cause he liked to get under our skin busting balls... He said you are never gonna top this entire day and night Clapton sniffed your old strat and Jeff Beck got a history lesson from ya and a 5 LB NOCASTER. ITS OVER HE SAID... THEY THOUGHT WE WERE ALL GOING TO THE JAIL HOUSE BABY Sometimes there is a magic time when the stars line up for each of us. Nobody plays like Jeff. But we all damn sure try..
I would love to hear him play "Yankee Doodle" because the melody is a bit more "busy" and the tempo is faster. No doubt it would sound awesome in his hands.

ty. gr8 stuff. Vale JB. x
When you know that you can give a thumbs up......before hearing a single note!
Hearing him fluff the highest note (1:26) is a reminder that everyone's human.
Paul B, I can easily fluff high notes & low notes,, I think my mistake is trying to do a Jeff Beck tune,,
Have a look and say Hi ruclips.net/video/Xfc3nSbiDnk/видео.html
It was deliberate.
@@davidelkins3229 Yeah, that's what I'd say, too.
@@davidelkins3229 Disagree
Good point.
And some nitwit, as you know, responded to your comment by saying it was deliberate.
Go figure.
That’s what happens when you worship people as gods.
FWIW actually Zakk Wylde did part of the Hendrix's version on the Ozzy at Budokan DVD, he did get very close including the feedback and all.
i wish jeff beck would come play at my high school games
I’d say that was a home run!
The ears the guy must have had, truly incredible.!
god help them all if he had been 21 up there playing!!. R. I. P. Jeffrey 🙏
I standed for this
Gotta appreciate how he stayed with the tradition of the song and not blowing it up ala Jimmy style (cuz you know he could of)
👉J I M I👈
Good clean version.
RIP JEFF BECK!
Jeff had no statement to make about American politics. He's a musician, not an activist.
I think that it's a really big statement that he, as a Brit made by showing that he has more respect for the anthem than so many of our American millionaire athletes do.
Love Jeff Beck, but Loud Hailer has some definitely political songs going on.
@Tom Krohn ? Are you pointing that National Socialist Worker's Party comment at me? Explain.
Standing up against systemic racism is not a political issue it’s a human rights issue. It comes down to ones morality.
How about Jeff Beck tho! Legend! 🔥
@@SeanRosati Politics. When Senator Tim Scott (Republican) brought forth a bill addressing many of the stated concerns that this movement speak about, the Democrats rejected it. Why? Politics. They just want to talk and year after year they have new issues to talk about, but they never take steps to resolve the issues. Any step forward is good. Right? Not to the Democratic Party if the issues get resolved. They need those issues to pander with to get votes. These athletes are politically aligned. They go back to their mansions after the game. They do nothing to resolve or help anything. Once the cameras are off, they just live in luxury. Their part is done. They just come out, disrespect our troops, our flag and our country and accuse the whole country of being an evil wicked institution. That is the communist influence trying to divide us and trying to weaken us and trying to make our people hate ourselves and our history and the statues of great men. Even Abraham Lincoln's and The 54th regiment's statues have been vandalized. Our citizens don't even know history. Who runs our schools? Democrats and teacher's unions. Where is our history class? Why do colleges use American History books written by communists? The football players are being duped into being a visual aid that helps advance the communist objectives.
I saw this title and thought.... omg this is gonna be insaaaane.... but alas....
#thegoat. The best in the world. Next is Clapton, Hendrix,Vai, Ingway. My top 5 RIP Jeff thank you so much ❤️
God bless America!
good job brother!
I have seen all the four greatest guitarist live, clapton ,beck, page, hendrix, Best in my opinion The Superior one is definately Beck, although for once and once only Hendrix played this anthem better. From Becks defense he probanbly did not have sufficient time to rehearse this one.
I envy you
Okay, I've seen 3 out of 4.
And then Ritchie Blackmore came along...
Great comment
Nice to see a Brit playing the music original composed in England by John Stafford Smith
Good job, Jeff. R.I.P. an other old car
I certainly enjoyed his show at The Fillmore that night. Need to remember to buy earplugs, or not stand by the speakers, if I am ever lucky enough to see him again.
He played the Fillmore? Not the Fox?
@@lawrencesprau1935 I should be more confident, but I confirmed it (Fillmore) via JamBase. Reminds me that I didn't hear old favorites like "Freeway Jam" and "Goin' Down," but got to hear "A Day In The Life" and as an encore, "How High The Moon."
@@lawrencesprau1935 Jeff Played the Fillmore that evening.
GOAT Jeffbeck
Beautiful human
WOW!!! WHERE'S THAT KIND OF PATRIOTISM THESE DAYS???🙄🇺🇸❤👍 Amazing performance!!!
Who knows? Jeff Beck is a citizen of the U.K.
Ironic that the national anthem's melody is an old English drinking song.
🤣
yes patriotism, wait we fought against Jeff's country to win our freedom. weird statement.
I saw him play the national anthem at the Long Beach Grand Prix in 1998.
You could never change my opinion on this as to me I'm never wrong. Get it? Good day..
JEFF ! BECK! BRAVO!
I don't know if that was in Detroit but Jeff Beck loved Detroit muscle cars and he was a bowhunter he made his own bow and his own heroes man we lost and credible one Lord heavenly father help us to go forward in this brave new world
There is no other I made him a no caster thank you its 5 lbs and he played green onions and train kept a rollin on it
with Imelda Mays band. I was 2 feet from Clapton as he stepped off stage @ Crossroads that Saturday night and
Jeff was there a night early to see the SRV tribute sitting stage right he flew in and surprised EC.
So when he came off stage I told him as I tried to keep from crying and make words form right that
id made this guitar and wanted him to have it.. He asked whats a NO CASTER and Imagine me being able to wax poetic
about how Leo originally made them and tell the entire history before Slowhand got back to speak to Jeff.
The greatest thing I ever did was turn my manufacturing pass around to look like all the other passes that day
and turned my Sons around and a buddy of mine who stood with my Son in both horror and awe as I walked up
getting out of Claptons way and going to Jeff and saying ive made you a guitar its locked up in the show hall
and the police wont let me get it right now but I can bring it too you tomorrow..
I was to give Eric a 58 strat and security didnt fall for my Rouse the following day so I mailed the guitar anyway over the pond to Ralph who was Jeffs manager at the time and the guitar tech personally took it to the castle.
the last tune I played testing the guitar was train kept a rollin before shipping it and there is no way Jeff knew that
and he comes out at Ronnie Scotts club and plays it.
Bout fell off me chair the whos who list of top rockers were in the audience that night to watch that.
imagine if you will what you would do if Eric Clapton came off first and Jeff Beck was next
it started to freak me hard and Jeff being so calm and a pro knew it and asked me Whots a no casta ?
and I got to tell him he plays mine....he had 5 strats with him and one old old real tele
and I thought ok he said he owns many guitars and alot of them are shite....
in fact he named them in tape on the top horn and one was called " bag of shite "
cause it gave him tuning troubles....
I didnt want to give him tuning troubles and id met Ronnie Montrose and asked him to play it before I sent it
and he urged me to use these brass compensated saddles that fixed the issue of g to b string being out of tune for triads.
When the kings of the stage make suggestions I listened and sent both original type bridge and the compensated ones on the guitar so I know it rang like a bell and true .
the fact my Son and Friend were there to witness me roll the dice on getting arrested that night was
all the better and Clapton in fact did see the 58 black strat and asked what I wanted for it the night before
to which I said it belonged to my brother and he would kill me if I sold it
when I told my brother that after the show he said GO BACK AND GIVE ERIC CLAPTON THE GUITAR.
Like I could just hop in the way back machine and hop over and find them all...
I tried the following day but security would not have it.
When my buddy saw Clapton paw that strat and smell it to see how old it was
he turned to me and said well its all down hill from here from now on out for you Frey
I said why would you say that Chigga his nickname was Chigga cause he liked to get under our skin
busting balls...
He said you are never gonna top this entire day and night Clapton sniffed your old strat
and Jeff Beck got a history lesson from ya and a 5 LB NOCASTER.
ITS OVER HE SAID...
THEY THOUGHT WE WERE ALL GOING TO THE JAIL HOUSE BABY
Sometimes there is a magic time when the stars line up for each of us.
Nobody plays like Jeff. But we all damn sure try..
Marvelous story and what an incredible memory. I’m so jealous that you got to meet both EC and JB. Both such legends.
That tone!!!
Clicked LIKE before I even heard it. Knew it was gonna be great. Should have kicked into "Goin Down" though.
I would love to hear him play "Yankee Doodle" because the melody is a bit more "busy" and the tempo is faster. No doubt it would sound awesome in his hands.
Very understated
Damn, he was in Detroit and I missed it.
hell yeah! what a game
Good version
Jeff was not even American. This was a very tasteful rendition.
