I woke up at 2:00am my time and decided to play on my phone...saw you had a video posted and now I’m watching :) Thanks for making my day brighter already! Xo Ambie
I enjoy watching your video/channel as it’s always nicely done with nice music and perfect presentation of each image! Thanks so much and see you soon in upcoming video!
I'm happy you're going to be doing more videos with Annie. She seems like she's fun to be around. The monkey bread is just like a pull away/pull apart breakfast bread if that sounds any more familiar.
I don’t think I’ve ever had pull apart bread. Maybe my American friend made once for a Christmas party 🤔 And I love traveling with Annie!! She is also a fellow leo ♌️ (like me)
It´s so rare to see a vlog from Yunlin. But I only knew the pink castle and the Hushan temple with a big golden Buddha before. Maybe you can visit there another time :D
I’m sure some Canadians know, just not me 😂 I also grew up not trying a lot of foods as my household had pocky tastes. I didn’t try a lot of foods until I moved to Japan.
My advice would be get a scooter or some kind of transportation bc I don’t feel the bus system there is that good. I was into there for a bit but the people seemed nice! I don’t drive here in Taiwan so living there would be a big struggle for me. Great for others who can drive!
Besides shaved ice/kakigori in Japan, I also wanted to try its unique brown sugar shaved ice in Yunlin (雲林), when traveling to Taiwan again in the future. Also, we just had two typhoons in Hong Kong, one from last week, while the other was from this Tuesday to Thursday, which I ended my Tuesday afternoon university class early.
You didn't know monkey bread? Interesting. It is a popular dessert in US for potluck or party food. In US, there is a whole wall of Cereal in super market but Taiwan, there is a whole wall of instant noodles. Lol.
It would be really useful if you can ask someone to type out the Chinese names for the different places, like eg Chenglin Agarwood Forest Museum, because this is Taiwan, plus it adds an authentic feel. I'm sure many Chinese(includes Taiwan, China, Singapore, Malaysia etc) audience of your show would appreciate it. I'm sure with this simple move, you would gain more subscribers & more views of your videos.
Hello, thank you for the suggestion. I have actually stopped subtitling my videos unless they are important or sponsored videos. It was taking a toll on my mental health so, I’ve stopped doing it for the most part. Thank you for your understanding 🙇♀️ Most of my videos have added subtitles if you click CC.
@@LayersOfJenn Thanks for responding, as I had encountered RUclipsrs who just kept silent on my suggestions. I don't mean subtitling the videos, I mean just adding Chinese names beside the English names of the places you had labelled on the screen, that would make a deeper impression on us, as the names in English may not be meaningful, but in Chinese there's a meaning. Plus, those who are going to travel to Taiwan after watching your videos would remember the places more if they learn the Mandarin names, because these are pasted at the places, but not the English names, I believe. Even Hong Kong people can understand Mandarin also, as Cantonese spoken words are using Chinese writings. Many people would appreciate this measure.
Ok .. but am I the only one who didn’t know money bread & funnel cake 😅😂?!?!
Monkey bread. It is so delicious. If you like cinnamon and sugar you will like it.
You're not! Your favourite Brit here and I didn't know what they were either 😆
@@deeyandra ok I’m not alone then 😂😂
@@jaybug564 I like allllll sweets so I’m sure I’d love those lol
"What's monkey bread?" I immediately got the same questiontion too.

@@LayersOfJenn Thanks Jenn! I did get back to sleep :) It’s looking like a beautiful day today, too. Say hi to Hope for me :)
I am loving the content you're doing in Taiwan 🥰 it's definitely next on my travel list when things open up!!
Yay I am glad to hear!! I’m sure you’ll have a blast ~
Love this style of video with mix and match vlog and travel ❤️
Thank you bb!! I wish i could have shared Yunlin more but we got distracted 😂
Exactly!!!!!! I can wear almost anything in Taiwan 💯
Wow, Yunlin looks amazing! 😍 Your videos are honestly the best because you showcase everything so beautifully and they are also super informative!

To be honestly , the trip is amazing. There are so many places to visit in southern Taiwan even though I was literally lived in Yunlin. 😅
I live vicariously through your videos, I miss Taiwan so much

I went to Yunlin in the beginning of September so, it was still hot for me 🔥
haha I'm glad that you are getting used to live in taiwan . wear sandals to outside , its comfortable
I now love my sandals and wear them almost everytime I leave the house 😂💯
Both Monkey Bread and Funnel Cake started in the US, but I'm really surprised they haven't made it up to Canada for folks there to try. Both are good.
I’m sure some Canadians know, just not me 😂 I also grew up not trying a lot of foods as my household had pocky tastes. I didn’t try a lot of foods until I moved to Japan.

It’s always delicious!
@@LayersOfJenn my favorite is old-school shaved ice with different kinds of boba and tangyuan flavored with brown sugar
Always love your drone shots❤️

The Beigang Chaotian temple is so beautiful. You need to make some monkey bread ASAP! It’s so easy and so damn good.
An early video! :o
Will watch after work
Yeah!! Trying a new upload time~ have a good day at work ✨
Start the trip with food first 👍👍❤️❤️
Of course!! 😉
Very famous 北港媽祖廟 for local Taiwanese to worship
So cute cat
welcome to Yunlin , I live in Yunlin
Thank you !!
taiwan public transit is amazing but man I wish I had a drivers license sometimes, looks like so much fun!
I wish I could drive here too 😂
I want a gogoro
Cheers!🍹

Hi Jenn!! What do you think of Yunlin? What would be your advice to someone who intend to move to Taiwan and settle in Yunlin? Thanks for your videos
