Brent you are a wonderful grandpa and a fine teacher, Ryder will always remember these days spent with you getting the truck running and then driving it. Not only that, but you are teaching him a trade that he can support himself and a family someday if he chooses. The world needs more like you! God Bless!
That’s exactly the same thing I was thinking.🤣
I said the same thing too 💯💯🫡
Not if the Globalists have their way. Right now the Globalists intend to do away w/ Gas & Diesel by 2030 and all personal transportation by 2035.
I wish my grandad was that nice.
Its his neighbors boy...not his grandson.
The smile on Ryder's face when pulling out was worth the watch!
That big smile on Ryders face , made it all worth while ....
I like how you get Ryder to do the work. Giving him confidence. He’s starting to just dive in. Looking forward to when he gets used to the camera and talk away. 😂.
The burnout was hilarious!!!
Ryder will be taking over the channel before you know it.
Brent we need more like you in this world we live in. Up most respect to you Sir 💯 🙏 love watching everything you do keep up the great work. I didn't know Ryder was your grandson nothing but love from this hillbilly from West Virginia thank you

The smile on Ryder's face when it fired up is priceless!!
You can see in Ryders face how happy he was when it started
You give new meaning to Let's go pick up your donated truck. Bet Derick from Vice Grip Garage is enjoying this.
It's truly shocking to me how resilient these old motors are.
It's also really wonderful to see a grandfather passing the skills along.
There is nothing quite as valuable as mentorship. Thanks Team Halfass.
That smile at the end of the video when Ryder is doing a burnout. Well done.
I am 58 and i miss doing this kind of stuff with my grandfather . This was a joy to watch he will never forget these moments.
Way to go Brent! the most important thing you can give Ryder is your time! Check the smile on his face! Of course the burnout proves the fruit doesn't fall far from the tree!! Take care!
It's really nice watching the young ones learn. Keep up the great work Brent you are a awesome roll model!!
Won’t be long and this’ll be the Ryder show. You’re gonna need a playlist soon. The Ryder Files
Another person is correct Brent. Ryder will always remember this. The world does need more people like you
The smile when the truck started. You can't put a price on that. And he gets to drive his own truck. Priceless memories.
Brent, the smile on Ryder's face, the attention to listen to your every word means he will be good at everything he does in life. Ryder's confidence is growing, we finally heard his voice and he will be great young man. You can teach and watch your lineage continue.
They gave Ryder the truck. Thinking it was a goner. But did make it run. Very cool. 😎 And Ryder is a happy little guy. Working with you makes him happy. No brakes handled. He smile is like the cat the swallowed the canary. Just made his work come to life. Know your feeling good. Loved it! 💯👍👊Thanks for sharing!!
Can,t wait till Ryder and Pablo go joy riding around the farm both will be smiling ear to ear.
The smile on Ryder’s face says all we need to know.
You and Ryder are both very lucky to have each other. The world would be a much better place if people would just even TRY to have more of the attitude that you and yours have always shown on your videos. Keep making that young man smile!

Brent you and Ryder have that same passion to see old clunkers have a second chance at life, your laugh and Ryders smile as he's getting to driving the old dodge says it all. Ya even got me smiling and that takes something!
Following pops on his gocart. Learning about his new truck AND a burnout at the end. You're a great grandpa Brent. Seeing Ryders smile is the joy I needed today
The best part of this video was watching Ryder's face. The boy was smiling ear to ear. That's a future gearhead in making.
I love Ryder's free truck smile. Worth it all day!
This is really good of you to bring Ryder out and into the real world of driving. Back when I was a kid, our 66 Polara had an ignition key tumbler that would fall out. My brother and I (when we were barely 16) knew that all we needed was a screw driver to start the car and drive off. I know that I did, but I was 6 feet tall when I was 15. I drove my parents car around town without a license when they went out of town. I was a bad influence on my twin brother. After finally confessing to him that I did that, he told me he'd done it too. Lucky for us nothing happened. I took the car out the same day the truant officer showed up to find out why my brother was skipping school. I guess I'm trash now. Nope. I lived through it finally (TiC) complied with the law. It took till my mid 20s to tow the legal line. Confession...
Big thumbs up for Ryder, Looks like he's verry happy with you Brent 👍 💪
Afternoon Brent & Ryder, what you are teaching the young man will stick with him for as long as he has air in his lungs, I'm 65 years old, when I was 14-15 years old there was a guy across the street that had a LS-6 in a 67 Camaro, I hung around there as much as they would allow me, he taught me alot, I still remember washing parts for a engine rebuild....
Just the smile you put on Ryders face says it all Brent no words needed 🤙👍👍👍
Brent, you are such a great teacher, Ryder is very lucky and also deserving. The grins and laughter especially the one wheel peel are priceless. Thanks for all you do and taking us along. Catch you on the next one...later
That smile Ryder had on his face as he pulled out of the garage is priceless
Rider's smiles say it all. You are a great mentor.
This is a life video building memories forever in Ryders mind. We all should have such memories and what a better life we all would live.
That was a great video, Ryder was smiling several times, he is now hooked for life on building cars and trucks thanks to Brent. This video had the perfect ending, the old Dodge doing a burnout, awesome.
That is awesome!
Yeah back in 1998 i was 17 and worked for a farmer in saskatchewan and he gave me a 1976 dodge d100. Pretty much the same truck but brown. Tranny was bad in it, i replaced it from a 727 out of a dodge aspen and i drove it for a bit.
This sure brings back memories!
Great video ❤
I think he really likes this truck. It’s a keeper….Did you see his face when it started? Priceless!!

Seeing Rider's Smile reminds us of the time we first brought one back from the dead.

Nice job - I enjoy all the vids, but this one in its simplicity was one of the best. A simple , plain truck driving with a youngin’. What a way to learn!

I love this video. This young fella gets why being a mechanic is fun. He just gets it.
I loved Ryder's expression when the motor popped off for the first time, he will be back for more. Look like a little 318 motor and not a lot of smoke when you started it, you might have a something for his truck project. Fun video.
