Fantastic review, put a smile on my face! I'm upgrading my two month old PCX125 to this in 4 hours, as no trainer will provide me lessons on big scooters, so going the full A-licence normal bike route. This little bike will put a smile on my face for the 4 months I'll have it before my test!
To me, this is what the fun of motorcycling is all about. Not necessarily having a really fast and powerful bike, but the fun of riding, especially in a group. I can have just as much fun, or even more possibly, on a little fun bike, as on a big, powerful sports bike. My last motorcycle was a GSX-R600, but my next motorbike will probably be a GSX150, the equivalent in my market of this GSX-S125. Small, light, flickable, great for commuting, cheap on fuel, simple...
I've finally got myself one of these, watched this abbot 6 years ago and it became my dream bike, Ive had a Honda Vision 110 for 8 years and OMG this was so much fun riding 100 miles home from the New Forrest, Im on my 6th CBT but this is definitely a HUGE step up! I comfortable did 82 mph! I'm so happy :) I slightly overpaid but had to get the 2018 as I love design Edit: The speedo said 82 but the Mrs was following me in the car and said she had 68 on cruise control so clock mayebe a bit out
i like the commentary...gotta luv British humor...as someone who hasnt got his license yet but been riding 125cc automatics for a long time...I have driven highways, mountains, in deeeep fog, rain, hard wind whatever condition....I really long for something more powerful I think 300 cc range would suit me better just that extra power but within the city and countryside its perfect to just cruise with 125cc and enjoy
Couldnt recommend this bike enough, i use it daily to and from work. such a joy to ride. easy to ride on the limit of the bike, ABS is completely non intrusive. nice and narrow for filtering and enough bite off the line to get in front of almost anything. only downside i found is neutral / second can be a bit tricky. had it drop out of second into neutral a few times, just needs a good positive change.
@@karlbrennan1012 Absolutely, sporty enough to be fun and super simple to ride. I haven’t gotten myself into trouble once on it riding through all kinds of weather, the Dunlop tyres it comes with grip really well even in super wet conditions. Mr and Mrs Egg . The bike is brilliant would recommend it to anyone I've not found one thing I don't like about it. The ride position is great and with a full tank of petrol costing about £9 I get roughly a week and 2 days out of it about 120 odd miles. So in all I would say give the bike a really good thought
the problem is with 150 cc is that if you do not have your license yet you cannot drive on the highway in most countries in Europe. You could always tuneup a 125cc and just hope you not getting caught by the police. But in Europe very few countries allow 125cc on the highway unfortunately. Taiwan is a motorcycle/scooter country almost everyone has some type of motor to ride on...also police is not so strict especially outside Taipei.

So Little info on this bike, because it is so new. Thanks for uploading this, I really hope I get enough money for this one day. Can you change the exhaust on this??
Reptilian Overlord they come limited to 14.6 hp or something like that and then you have to put a 34mm carb, and powervalve on it and usually a decent exhaust, normally you do a lot more than that but that should get you to 95-100 ish and 0-60 in maybe 6.5s and if I'm correct a yzf125 which will be the same gsxr it will do about 75ish and 0-60 in about 15 seconds? So there is no point in 4stroke 125 super sport bikes?
Reptilian Overlord no they come limited, you have to put a 34mm carb on it and a powervalve, 80% of them now already have them, there is no point in riding them without it
Thanks! These are really cheap here in Australia (learners are restricted to 660cc, so not much demand for 125's), I'm really thinking of getting the S version for commuting. I was toying with the idea of a Grom, because they're so popular, but these are so cheap and look so much fun, and much better at lane splitting than my tiger. Here the S version is 2,200 of your british pounds on the road so seems like a no brainer!
Lol cheers for not converting the currency for me, it's fine I learnt about Krone! Holy crap though! that's $8k aussie - literally twice the price. Does that include on the road and registration costs & is the high cost because of its engine? I know you guys lead the world in electric vehicles and are quite progressive about getting rid of fossil fuel cars, etc? 25,000kr is pretty standard for non-basic 125's here - a Grom, these Suzuki's, even a Yamaha R15 are all about the same price. Actually I suspect the R15 will essentially kill the GSX-R125 here before it even gets a look in. There's no reason I could see that you'd buy the 125cc suzuki over the 150cc yamaha at the same price if you want a little supersport - they should have imported the GSX-R150 to compete really. The GSX-S125 however has a good chance because there's nothing quite like it here; a comfortable commuter 125 with a ultra light weight and a mini supersport engine; I think that'll have a decent market in the cities. Out of interest, I had a look what 50,000 krone would get you in Aussie in terms of a brand new bike, probably the best would be a Ninja 400. It's a little less here - including taxes, registration etc, a Ninja 400 is about 46,500Kr on the road (the list price pre-tax, etc. is 40,000kr). This is honestly the only time I've found Australia isn't the most expensive at something lol. Still though, your country's amazing! If I could remotely handle your winter's, and afford bikes, I'd wanna live there!
No, there's no any dimension difference between Europe and Asian version, and yea this bike feel a bit small cuz of the narrow seat. I'm 160cm and I ride the gsx R btw.
why in mph? km/h is more fun due to increase fast of number .... Seriously , this 150cc version is my bike , So much fun When i Hear High rpm noise , Almost no vibe in high rpm ... One downfall , why no Keyless in this S version ,, because here thief is anywhere .... cheers man ...
ye the headlight is really ugly, im probably gonna buy this bike anyways because its the best light mc (for me) because its cheaper, smaller, faster and lighter than the rest of the light mc class.
Looks good actually and better looking than the other 125cc motorcycles in its class and better value and also best power to weight ratio in its class.
Markus HmW Because for example in Germany (where I live) there's a License (called A1). You can have this at an age of 16. You restricted at max. 125ccm and 15HP With an age of 18, you can make the A2-licence (max. 48HP) After 2 years of A2 or at an age of 24 you can make the A2-licence (you can ride every motorcycle) ------------------- In Germany/Europe there's no Market for 150ccm Motorcycles and and because of the new regulations 2013 (48hp on A2, no longer only 34hp) 250ccm were almost completely gone on the new market for streetbikes They have to much power for A1 and to low power for A2 (why buy a 250ccm if you can buy a 300ccm/500ccm?) ----------- 150ccm were popular in Asia especially in India, because there small, have enough power and where cheaper than bigger bikes. And there's a huge market for that.
Because in Europe including the UK you can ride a 125cc on L plates. Nothing wrong with these for 17 year olds. Wish they had these when I was still on a 125. May buy one as a winter commuter.
in indonesia only have 150 cc, but you can buy a official racing part by :sarp (suzuki aftermarket racing parts) cobra series like a Full System Exhaust,Triple Clamp Assy,Brake and Clutch Lever,Hand Guard,Foot Step Assy,Chain Guard, and programmable ecu and next year suzuki 150cc become 250cc models in indonesian (prediction)
When suzuki come out with a new motorcycle you can be bloody sure it's a good one.

Is that a 11Kw bike? Is the Gsx-R 125 version faster?
There is no difference in power or topspeed
As my experiences on GSX-R/S150 (exactly the same engine base with GSX-R/S125). Top speed was higher on GSX-R due to less drag coefficient.
Its a little bit faster, maximal 10 kmh but the gsx s is more comfortable and it drives 135 kmh on the Autobahn

How about average of fuel consumption?
@Milisa Anggraini
I currently own one and I am getting 123 mpg and is a great little bike.
Would you reccomend buying it?
Yes absolutely great little bike
James Oren dude its 50 grand in Norway
Ok the Ninja 400 is about 89,000kr but close enough
The Asian counterparts of the this has a 150cc engine with 18hp, no ABS though.
19.1 hp
i own one of these
some places in Asia like Taiwan is 150cc with ABS as standard.
The Loanmower Man
15 hp is alot for a 125cc 4 stroke :D
When launched suzuki 200cc suzuki gixer gsk
how tall are you sir? i feel too small riding this motobike (I'm 185cm)
or it's different between europe and asian version
No, there's no any dimension difference between Europe and Asian version, and yea this bike feel a bit small cuz of the narrow seat. I'm 160cm and I ride the gsx R btw.
He's 6ft 2. I'm 6ft 7 and even I fit fine on one.
Good
in Asia we have S150 and R150 with no abs
the speedometer in mph right ?
these bikes top out at 60-65
The bike will do 75 mph
@@mrtwollock9392 ehm top speed is around 130km/h
@@mrtwollock9392 these will top out at 80mph lol.
on MPH or KPH?
MPH. Brits are backwards like that.
@@Xerdoz it's not just "Brits" that use (MPH) 😂😂
Can it be on a dual carriageway?
VMAX is 135kmh so it's about 80mph?
Yes.
why in mph? km/h is more fun due to increase fast of number ....
Seriously , this 150cc version is my bike , So much fun When i Hear High rpm noise , Almost no vibe in high rpm ...
One downfall , why no Keyless in this S version ,, because here thief is anywhere ....
cheers man ...

RizTauRo LatiNo super grandmaster.suzuki
Nice Vid
Did you ever even use 6th gear 😂
Is it better than the Honda CB125F?
Yes, it has both better parts, lighter weight and a good bit higher accelaration
Here we have 150cc version in Taiwan Lol
no im right
What is that shit in place of the headlight
ye the headlight is really ugly, im probably gonna buy this bike anyways because its the best light mc (for me) because its cheaper, smaller, faster and lighter than the rest of the light mc class.
Looks good actually and better looking than the other 125cc motorcycles in its class and better value and also best power to weight ratio in its class.
@@hanswangnstvold435
Best looking bike in its class and best power to weight ratio in its class.
Don't worry about it. You don't see the headlight anyway when you're on the bike. 😂
Lamb chop rags a 125😂
I'd rather have this than a useless Grom.
The gsxr125 is made for younger people
No it's made for everyone
That bike has 6 gears
🙏 Suzuki GSXR 125r so good looking bike beautiful blue colour thanks to Suzuki for manufacturing such a wonderful bike 👌🙂

Bit similar to lexmoto venom actually the venom is Chinese copy of this suzuki.
എന്തുകൊണ്ട് ഇതു ഇന്ത്യയിൽ ഇല്ല..???....
bet you can't get a helmet to fit you
Looks like the scooters in Thailand.
Why would anyone buy a 125 tho
Because in Europe there's a license for it.
Markus HmW yes millions and millions of people buy 125s.
Why not straight 150cc or 250cc
Markus HmW Because for example in Germany (where I live) there's a License (called A1).
You can have this at an age of 16. You restricted at max. 125ccm and 15HP
With an age of 18, you can make the A2-licence (max. 48HP)
After 2 years of A2 or at an age of 24 you can make the A2-licence (you can ride every motorcycle)
-------------------
In Germany/Europe there's no Market for 150ccm Motorcycles and and because of the new regulations 2013 (48hp on A2, no longer only 34hp) 250ccm were almost completely gone on the new market for streetbikes
They have to much power for A1 and to low power for A2 (why buy a 250ccm if you can buy a 300ccm/500ccm?)
-----------
150ccm were popular in Asia especially in India, because there small, have enough power and where cheaper than bigger bikes. And there's a huge market for that.
Because in Europe including the UK you can ride a 125cc on L plates. Nothing wrong with these for 17 year olds. Wish they had these when I was still on a 125. May buy one as a winter commuter.
The Asian counterparts of the this has a 150cc engine with 18hp, no ABS though.
Now we have ABS on the Indian 155cc Gixxer as it's branded here.
in indonesia only have 150 cc, but you can buy a official racing part by :sarp (suzuki aftermarket racing parts) cobra series like a Full System Exhaust,Triple Clamp Assy,Brake and Clutch Lever,Hand Guard,Foot Step Assy,Chain Guard, and programmable ecu and next year suzuki 150cc become 250cc models in indonesian (prediction)
ABS in curtain country like in Taiwan. ABS no mandatory yet in small motorcycle for most asia country
but petal disk brake make a same frequention like a abs
RIVALDI RTG it's right....
