- First of all a massive thankyou to Suzuki UK for the invitation to their press launch for the brand new GSX-R 125! I enjoyed this so much, its been the highlight of my biking year without question!
So the GSX-R125 what a fantastic fun motorcycle, I had more fun than anyone has any right to riding a 125 :-) The Silverstone track location certainly help though I'm sure!

Congrats on the press launch, apart from being a fun beginners bike the quality of the fit and finish looks great, awesome review and very professionally edited.
Yes you know the fit and finish is very very good indeed, I did mention that but ended up cutting that as I was going on for too long already :)

I love this bike really much, I ride 150 cc version.... Very easy n nice handling, most powerfull engine in 150 cc class..... At gear 4, very posibility you can overtake any other 150 cc bike......
i remember my rs125 two stroke 2001 it was so much fun my best memories

I took my sons CBF 125 out and hit 75mph and thundered through the corners because it was light as a feather and felt nimble it had all the fun and the thrill factor was there!!
All i can say is Kids these days are spoilt lol :)

haha no the smile is still there :-) Yeah Im actually borrowing the GSXR1000R in a couple of weeks for a week, be good to test it properly and compare it to the RSV4... But both those bikes would be way to much for the Stowe circuit but fun none the less!

That looks like some of the most fun you have had on a bike for a good long time. I do wish we still had the 2 stroke era as I too had an RG125F... 109mph flat out. Then bang goes the power band valves, piston and barrel. how long until some one gets a mini turbo on there? or better still a tiny supercharger?

+george p we had seats on the Suzuki stand and didn't get to see much of the rest of the track tbh.. we were just at the end of the start finish line, right where pol crashed at the end
You should try aprilia RS4 is the rsv4 replica it looks exactly like rsv4, the size is very similar if not the same I have the 2014 one they come with quick shift, the tyres are much bigger than the Suzuki ones, basically it's like a big bike with 125cc in it

Best 125cc bike for short riders as I’m only 5’6
Comparing my last 125cc
PRE ABS.. 14plate. YZF R125.
This SUZUKI is far superior in both handling and features wise.
Admittedly there is room for improvement such as..
Faster and Higher speed to beat every 125cc new or old.
Bluetooth enable console.
Superior Anti theft system
Insurance approved Alarm and immobiliser as standard.
More upgradable / Performance parts availability
All in all a brilliant bike to complete with the Big names Top 125 bikes
Not a bad attempt by Suzuki considering they haven’t had a 125cc for ages.
Better still I got a Whole £500 off the list price.
Infact ... £3600 on the road.

J's H12 JHO it’s nice but I’m 5,8ish and it felt small for me. My 19 R125 feels a little tall but I do like it more, need to find someone on the GS to see if it really is the fastest 125 on the market as kings Suzuki claim 😜

I'm torn between the s and r i need to ride to work 20 miles a day is it worthwhile getting slightly less comfort of the r model for the fun on weekends thanks for any advice I currently ride a Honda cb125 lol
Bow Hunter 20 miles is nothing get what you prefer ! The S feels lil more cramped on it where on the R you can stretch a lil more . I believe the tires are Dunlop so that shouldn’t be a problem in the wet but it’s worth checking

I'm 5ft 10 and I sat pretty comfortably on it, your legs might feel pretty cramped but your height makes you sit pretty upright

Hello everybody. I like this little bike very much and it would be my first bike. I'm just a little bit worried that it might not suit my size, as I'm 180 cm tall (about 5.10 feet). Do you think it might be possible for me to ride it comfortably? Thanks in advance
If is the same size than gsx150R, 1.80cm would be kinda unconfortable, buy hey, if you like it, try it before buy it and you'll see how it really feels
I've rode it,as a guy with 180cm too it was a pain in the ass (literally) 10 min and the pain is unbearable

I know it's a 125 and it's not meant to be fast but what is the top speed? And how is the build quality?
We saw 80 mph on the GSX-S on the street which has the same engine.. Its pretty fast for a 4 stoke 125
I owned a 150 variant it's top speed around 91mph.

There just to small and skinny. Surely they can make them slightly bigger with bigger tyres.
They’re the same size tires as most other sports 125 bikes

Louis Gordon best for beginners imo. My R125 is great and nippy sure it’s not fast but I’ll have all the basics nailed for when I get my hands on a CBR
