BOOSTED Street Holden HR

- The last time we saw Mark Drew piloting his wife’s Holden HR it was running in the 8.7-second zone at 160mph thanks to a 403-cube single turbo LS engine. Since then Mark has been busy turning the wick up on his other street driven Holden, the Crusty Torana is now running consistent 7-second passes.
Back to the HR which has undergone a series of changes under the bonnet. Built with an array of second hand parts, the smaller capacity L98 6L engine is now boosted by twin ProCharge turbos and a Holley EFI system. Like all of Mark’s cars over the years, the street car engine bay looks flawless. Inside Mark has wisely added some much needed safety in the way of a full roll cage and fixed back seat and harnesses, but most importantly the column gear shifter still remains. This was the first time out on this new combination so Mark was merely logging some low boost data, as the plan is to run both cars at this year’s Street Machine Drag Challenge.

Not very common.... but at last an owner of a car that actually knows a bit about his car!!!! (And actually works on it himself) " changing oil and tyres and the like not included". .....And in this case.... maybe a little or a lot more than a bit!
Was this 2Jz powered once upon a time?????
