    I don't know how many hole saws I've ruined on those multiple layered tar and gravel roofs putting in pitch boxes. Good video, looking forward to part 2.

    Was the framing underneath there already? Or did you just pick those spots? It almost looked like the building was designed for more than one system from the beginning.

    • @BillyKnoth
      @BillyKnoth  9 лет назад +1

      Those were old skylights... We picked those spots but the framing we got lucky..exactly the site we needed..

    What turns on those compressors? In other words, how does the board determine that it needs more cooling?

    Billy they don't require joist hangers/if you cut one. Wow, wish I had worked in your area.

    • @BillyKnoth
      @BillyKnoth  7 лет назад +2

      actually we did not cut a joist/rafter...it was originally framed in the 50's for skylights that were never installed....so we used those openings...

    Dam you didnt show how you cut through. Who decided exactly where you cut? The engineer?

  • @leonelramirez3231
    @leonelramirez3231 5 лет назад

    Who decided where to cut on the roof? Did you need an architect or engineer to look at this? Who framed the beams in tge cieling? Plz lmk

    • @BillyKnoth
      @BillyKnoth  5 лет назад +1

      It was framed that way when the building was built. It was for possible skylights...

      Im sorry joeyf504327 I ment to say that the landlord is splitting the space into 3 suites... and would like the tenant pay their own gas and electric bills... I do hate for that unit to go...

      Nice looking work. Those L series are great units. Very easy to work on. Are they going to run the gas and electric from underneath?

    • @BillyKnoth
      @BillyKnoth  9 лет назад

      electric will go through pitch pocket.. and gas will run on roof... not my call ... we have nothing to do with that...

    • @RobHVAC
      @RobHVAC 9 лет назад

      Billy Knoth just wondering since the space is down to the studs.

    • @BillyKnoth
      @BillyKnoth  9 лет назад

      Rob HVAC I know that would be good... But that is only the front half of the building and the meters are in the back..

    roofer must be pissed after you fucked up his work with that tar in a can nonsense

    • @BillyKnoth
      @BillyKnoth  7 лет назад

      Paul Hutton nope....why? how would you do it? he came and hot flashed it later.....

    • @paulhutton4023
      @paulhutton4023 7 лет назад

      well if you use any product from a can it will catch fire when you hot apply with open torch best to use a butyl tape as small as you can then he can go over no problem. I install curbs all day long or living in all types of roof the tape works on smooth surface only you can also use exp foam

    • @BillyKnoth
      @BillyKnoth  7 лет назад

      We do what the roofer wants... He torches the rolled roofing and aplyes it to the curb.... Thanks for watching and commenting....I do agree with what you are saying! I don't like using the tar in a can...but that's the way everyone involved says they want it..
