I don't honestly think I've ever seen Malfurion that pissed.

Pissed is probably a MASSIVE understatement for the general attitude of the night elf’s right now.
He's been known to be extremely dangerous when pissed off. He solo'd Azshara and her cronies when Tyrande was nearly mortally wounded. He trapped Archimonde with roots spell when Malorne died, causing Archimonde to retreat by teleporting away. Basically he's always cared more about azeroth than faction rivalry, but now...
Still, Blizzard isn't really consistent with their characters and could easily turn him back into a lame side character or even worse, kill him GoT style...

true, my first 6 hours in this expansion as feral druid is resumed by being unable to defeat a single mob without the need of rooting it and healing myself. After that, I gave up the cat and went bear/moonkin until the end

I don't know why you would feral in PvE when you have Boomkin... and bear is best in PvP for me.
havent played feral since cataclysm, but i cant remember a time when feral was good throughout the whole expansion since cata.. blizz should be ashamed. (and no, depending on one legendary to make the whole spec playable isnt considered good)

Finally Malfurion actually fights like a Druid instead of using “wisps” or “winds.”
Druids do use Winds in Warcraft 3 actually: Shapeshifting was only a big part of the Druids of the Claw. Druids of the Talon used Cyclone n what not.

Jody Boles Guys I know that Druids technically can use winds but that’s dumb because it gets too close to shaman territory. It’s cooler to see them using flora and fauna powers.
People have forgotten that Malfurion is still a 10,000 year old badass, that even Demon Lords of the Burning Legion were wary of facing off against.
Since Vanilla, Night Elves have kinda been part of the “cute” image of the Alliance. They are supposed to be 7+ foot tall, nocturnal savages, who had no compunctions about killing to protect their forests. It’s about time they put the fear of the forests back into the Horde
Remember in wc3 when the orcs thought they were ghosts and they were afraid to gather lumber? Those are nelfs I want back.
They were originally trolls but their current form came after bathing in the energies of the well of eternity for many years. If they continued to do so they would be more like the Blood-elves in body-design.
I honestly always thought night elves were wimps but after seeing this im quaking in my tauren boots... er hooves...

If HotS has taught me anything, Tyrande will use that owl to snipe Nathanos from the other side of the warfront.
Sadly the owl was changed and you can no longer stack owls that make 2000 damage from across the maps, pretty sad

She got patched. She is a great healer now. Not semisupport like Tassadar and Medivh anymore

I missed before the sniper tyrande with the original Shadowstalk where you were mocked as a healer and just played her to show off to everyone that even then "I CAN solo heal as tyrande EVEN if her healing spells are lackluster until I get my ult" and then feel proud when you beat the full support Khara in heals......

Seeing Tyrande and Malfurion like this gives me chills. Given how they have been portrayed in the game as the uber hippies you kinda forget how powerful Malfurion is, while also forgetting that Tyrande has more battle experience than the entire leadership of the Alliance and Horde combined!

the nightborne didn't really have battle experience until legion. during the war of the ancients they just sealed themselves away and ignored it and spent 10,000 years in their bubble

@@ToxisvonZero Nightbornes are nowhere close to Tyrande/Malfurion, they were in their own bubble until legion meanwhile Tyrande and Malfurion fought against legion/old gods etc. Only one who is close to them is Sylvanas.

Illidan would be happy his brother finally lifts a finger.
I think illidan would be sad that it came to this in the first place.
Malfurion has always tried to remain out of the conflict, since his duties as Arcfdruid required him to teach and to lead people of the Alliance and the Horde. Illidan understood his brother's role and why he never took sides unless it directly threatened nature or his people.

Guys..... it's clear that some time has passed since the ambush and the night elves attack... Malfurion wanted to spread fear so that the attack could be more effective. All of this takes palce after the night warrior ritual so the horde already knows that the night elves are in darkshore

Honestly, we've never even seen close to what malfurion can really do. Dudes one of the most powerful beings in warcraft lore. Hes been nerfed though for story reasons i guess idk.

Been a diehard nelf fan since Reign of Chaos. Came to WoW straight from it and rolled a nelf druid which has been my main since. Nelfs never really got any good lore till now since WC3 :(

Well the alliance officially won both warfronts and the faction war of BfA. Nathanos is dead and Tyrande is somewhere in the shadowlands superpowered ready to end Sylvanas. That looks like vengeance to me.

I hope everyone realizes that the "troll ancestry" was a retcon. And a bad one as well. Yea, but I get Blizzard writers have a lot of problems with knowing their own lore, or understanding basic scientific principles.
As in, when they stated the Jinyu (fish people) have evolved out of murlocs (amphibians/frog people). lel.
@@Amphitera Not really, people for a long time had wondered if Elves and Trolls were related due to distinctly similar features.
Both the Elves and Jinyu involved exposure to magic over a long period of time as well.
Also to be a retcon we'd have to have known where Elves originated from before hand which we did not. We had origins for Gnomes, Dwarves, even Humans on Azeroth but not Elves or Trolls

@@Amonieyt It was always Xavius' plan to use the Tear of Elune on Ysera. Even if Malfurion hadn't rushed into a fight, I don't see how he would have prevented that from happening.
THIS is the Malfurion we loved from Warcraft 3! Not that cringe-worthy “Tyrande! Where are you???” nonsense. THESE are the Night Elves that terrified the Horde and made Grom Hellscream so desperate he drank the demon blood again. THESE are the Night Elves that repelled the Burning Legion almost entirely on their own. I love this!

Beside Night Elves, in Darkshore Warfront there are also Gilneans (both Human and Worgen), Ancients, and Nightsabers on the Alliance side.

the actually kinda harrowing and ominous Night Elves of playing WarCraft III for the first time are finally back?
original Night Elf campaign had some awesome dark atmosphere.. up there with going into the Eastern Plaguelands for the first time in WoW vanilla.

Heck, the ending of this trailer is embarrassing for them. SYLVANAS was terrified at the thought of facing both of them together BEFORE Tyrande got her power up. Nathanos should be running in terror.
haha I've always been Horde so the Orc mission where Grom goes logging is my fave...
but the Night Elves had 2 of my other top faves... that 'defend the caravan' one in TFT (Shards of the Alliance) and the 1st NE mission in ROC... cuz Tyrande looks cool on the cliff above the sunset and you get to kill both Orcs _and_ Humans haha
never did like the 2 factions they went with in WoW... should have been RvRvR like Dark Age of Camelot ~ Malfurion should have forgiven and joined Thrall and the tauren, while the humans, dwarves, and gnomes, and then blood elves, undead, and forest trolls were the evil one or something

@@anulire Nah, Illidan was too "long-term goal" to take sides; he never showed any interest in the ongoing faction war during the events of Legion, just because he knew there was a bigger picture to focus on. If he were in BfA, Illidan would probably just be wearing a shiny new bling necklace and scooping up as much Azerite as he could find.

The horde kinda forgot the fact that the elves had a large empire before they started doing the whole "One with nature" thing (aka being a hippie) and missed the fact you usually don't create and maintain empires by being nice

To be fair, he's almost within sight of Teldrassil's ashes, where countless innocents were burned alive along with his ancient home. He's pretty pissed at the Horde, and doesn't care about the details right now.

@@JasonSmith-fe2fx The orc was a warrior like the others, not a peon. He had an axe and full plate armour and was ready to fight. He was also actively carrying out a military logistic operation. He doesn't classify as innocent under any definition.
In contrast, most of the elves that died in Teldrassil were civilians, including children, who were trapped in the city during an undeclared war. You can't compare these situations.
@@JasonSmith-fe2fx As opposed to being burned alive? Both are horrible ways to die, but who started it? I think both side are long past mercy by now, especially Malfurion after what happened to his people.
You also argued that burning Teldrassil was aimed at 'killing hope'. I'd also argue that burying someone alive in front of the only survivor also has an aim, which is to spread fear in the enemy.

They're just giving Sylvanas more troops making it HARDER to reclaim their home...I think their actions are reckless right now and are being based on emotions instead of logic. And I play Alliance.

@@darthsnow657, the timing of their actions is questionable indeed. The main bulk of the Alliance forces is assaulting Dazar'alor, while the Night Elves insist on attacking Darkshore.
However, *childish* is a strong word. Imagine seeing your home burned down. Your loved ones killed. Man, I would also be *reckless* . And that's the best part, good sir! The Alliance characters are finally showing some personality. The Night Elves are starting to look like the savage warriors they were back in Warcraft 3.
Is it a brilliant move on their part? No. But it adds a strong dose of realism to the story. And I love it.

I understand he was a badass in Warcraft 3. I’m talking about world of Warcraft specifically. Every time he is featured in wow, he is shown as weak, confused and in constant need of help. I understand he contributed during the cataclysm and with the nightmare. However, when it comes to fighting the horde, he wants no part in it, even if his lands and people are being destroyed. You see a glimpse in the invasion of darkshore with the wisp wall, but then is easily struck down by saurfang, even if it was a cheap shot from behind. He is my favorite Warcraft character, which is my I want to see more of him in wow.
Need a full version of the ending music. A more vengeful version of the Nightsong. Someone, please!
Hopefully something similar will be part of the Darkshore warfront, and then the usual youtubers will make soundtrack compilations.

@@carmagadon11 the Night Song, introduced during in the soundtrack of Cataclysm, is the night elves version of Lament of the Highborne. You can hear it in some areas of Ashenvale, the alliance garrison and aparentlly in the Ysera quest line in legion
I really hope they make a new Nightsong for this warfront just like they made a new Call to Arms for Arathi.

eventually we'll get Broll Bearmantle, the last member of the gladiator team Valeera and Varian were on, and owned by Rehgar.
That would make for a really fun rework, like maybe still a healer but multiclass like Varian able to chose an affinity (like druids in WOW) to change up his play style.

You DO NOT mess with people who know how to hold their anger because THIS and much worse happens, some events are also done by god's hand (blizzard) just to trigger other events. If Sylvanas didn't burn the tree she would literally be a warchief that did NOTHING in her rule. Something needed to be done and blizzard executives found it. There.
