Thank you very much for this. I have never done a repair of this kind before and it seemed extremely intimating. This video convinced me to do it myself and it saved me a ton of money. For those who are wondering, the dimensions for the FN10D-ZL motor bearings are: Outer diameter: 22mm, Inner diameter: 8mm and thickness: 7mm
Just to add to the removal of the pump cover on a24k or 18k .In order to get to the set screw on the motor to blower you must remove the cover and its unknown that their is two screws one on the bottom and one attached to the coil.Went crazy trying to pull it out before i realized the other screw
My unit works on Ac and fan mode but does not spin on heat mode. I heard a grinding noise for a couple day before heat mode stopped working. Is this due to the fan motor or do you think reverse valve? The noise was coming from indoor unit. Does not make noise in the other modes though. Is that common?
@@fytyh5 Thanks! Eventually the unit stopped working all together. Technician found it to be a grounded compressor. It is under warranty still but will cost about the same as a whole new unit to fix it with labor cost. Just gonna do a whole house hvac system I think.
Great video!! Is it normal for the fan motors to get noisy? I have a Senville Aura about 2 years old and seems like it’s getting louder all the time. It seems like it would be a similar tear down as you showed. Anyway to quiet the motor, or is replacement the best solution? Thanks!
So today I tore into my mini split. Mine is a Senville Aura 9000. Anyhow it’s been so loud and driving me crazy. I was able to remove the motor and just as an experiment I popped the back off. Discovered the bearings were being pushed on. A bit of grease and a few taps with a hammer to set the bearings and it’s quiet again. I figured I would have to buy a new motor so I had nothing to lose. Just figured I’d leave this here for others to read. I wish I had filmed it. Oh well. Maybe next time. Thanks again!
@@EricCosner I have the same one with the same issue (noise) how’d you get the motor out? It’s really buried in there beyond what this and the other videos show.
@@bigpicturethinking5620 it’s a bit of work to get to it. It’s been a while but I know you have to remove the front panel first and then the entire white outer housing as well. To get to the motor I remember there were screws behind all those copper pipes that required a long screwdriver. There’s also a screw that disconnects the motor from the blower shaft. It’s all designed to come apart without taking it off the wall, but it’s a bit of work. Just take your time with it and have someone there to help. If I ever do it again, I’ll film it. We have a ticking sound currently but I’m still on the original motor after modifying it. 😄
I have LG minit split 9k. I need to replace motor. I got the blower fan out. Now how do I get that electronic part off so I can get to the blower motor? Thanks
@@RyanConrod Yep kept watching the various videos. Figured out how to replace the fan motor. Works great. I think the renter was a smoker or vaper, that may have caused the motor to go out.

I'm in the middle of this and cannot get that motor axle to clear - can you elaborate? I think you might have the answer.
Usefulness of the RUclips comment section is nearly zero. Google is always dropping the ball. So hard to use.@@dalekeys5963
Will this work for an LG model number ARNU093SBL4?
Is this similar to an LG model? Any links to videos on those?
Does the 12000 BTU unit have two fan motors? I'm getting air from one side only of my unit.
Probably dirty blower wheel
@@Refrigeration-With-Max Thanks for the tip. The blower wheel was covered with crud. Once it(the blower fan) was cleaned the unit worked like a champ!
I have Samsung air wind same one your talking about, but in middle I have separate pump, making lots of noise

Sounds to me like it could be the main board outside, I had the exact same issue. Replaced and she fired right on

@@dkammerer Any advice you can share? I'm going to attempt to change my fan motor on a LG 12,000 this weekend...can't find a decent video anywhere
We can't see what you're doing because of the control box is in the way make your replacement again but reposition your Camara some where we can see!
thanks bro
Didn't show how to disconnect the motor from the board.
