Those EVH Stealth amps are selling like crazy. Online retailers get a batch... and they are gone quick. Tell MusiX you want to KEEP that one!
Great video! You nailed the VH sound, and you can play that stuff really well! Eddie was not only a legendary gifted player... but he knew how to use the gear to get the sound he wanted. Look at how popular his EVH line of amps are! Everybody wants one, because they sound amazing. Eddie knew gear. And he was a hell of a stage performer, too. He will never be forgotten.

@@EugeValovirta230V Cool -- good to know. I think I remember reading that now. I think however, I can hear a different in Eds live tone between this Tokyo show, and the shows with the actual Stealth later on. I currently have the original 100 watter, the 50 watt 6L6, and the 50 watt El34. I plan on grabbing the newer 100 watt Stealths of both 6l6 and EL34 if/when I can find a good price on used ones. Im looking for 'the best one' that works for me, however, I have a feeling, when all is said and done, they will all be sold, and it was just a fun time trying them out. It turns up more gradually at low volumes so you don't get blasted right away. I just got the 50w Stealth, and it's really loud turned all the way down. And you're right. That was his live setup. Studio and live are two different things ’cos in the studio you add time based effects in the mix so you can record the pure amp sound and recreating similar live was Eddie’s point.

I still maintain that Rudy Leiren > Matt Bruck!....I honestly think that initially at least Matt, had a negative impact on Eddies tone save for turing him onto Soldanos. I recall reading him say "His sound was too clean so I convinced him to dirty it up" . I met Rudy when he was Jag Tanna's tech (I Mother Earth) and we talked about Ed, of course lol. Eddie is well known for saying "he hates distortion pedals" and Rudy said the same. Part of the unique charm of EVHs early tone was just that: massive unbelievable tone with clarity, especially compared to say, RR and that heavy MXR distortion. I love RR and love them both, equally, but RR's tone at times wasn't totally on point and I think had he not died so young, like Hendrix, we would have seen (heard) a substantial evolution in tone....Anyways, nerd talk LOL..Awesome video once again and really appreciate all the fine details you put into these tone breakdowns.

Lol Euge breaking the RUclips system and rightfully so. That’s all that needs to be said. 😎🤘🏻

Sorry but I don’t like Ed’s tone on this album. Too nasally and mid range. Muddy. El34 tubes?

No need to be sorry 😊. Great sound but not my favourite Eddie’s tone. 6L6. It’s actually quite a bit scooped compared to his earlier Marshall tones: ruclips.net/video/pYv4IWte8kI/видео.html

I never liked the sound on this album... His worst ever... Too buzzsawy... Too much gain overall. Still really well played.

Yes is a lot of gain, and thats because on live show this is how most guitar player want it to sound, not so processed signal as an standard album. This Live disc captures VH energy and killer sounding (except DLR vocals) from recent era, makes me remind the sound on the 2015 show. This is my favorite guitar tone ever.

@@carlosfernandocaceres552 yes I understand but I still don't like it. His sound on the balance album was exceptional.

@@TavaresProject ufffff can’t agree more, that sound is amazing, but lets be honest, tunes like Everybody Wants Some or Somebody Get me Doctor will do not sound as killer as in Tokyo Dome, thats why EVH was so great, his music on F.U.C.K and Balance is on another level also👍🏽👍🏽

Yeah a bit too much gain for my taste too but it still sounds great. EVH 👌🙏👑.
