I drove both a 2023 XSE Camry and a regular 2022 Civic hatchback sport trim a month each. XSE had higher spec but the Civic was was much more fun an pleasant to drive, mode responsive and fun and more economical. The Camry looked good but missed all the other stuff I just mentioned. I wish I could explore more the Civic on windy corner like the HY89 to Prescot in Arizona, I did drive the Camry there and it was fun enough but it did skid/lost traction a little on 20mph corners going at 30 or 35mph. Have a Camry TRD and absolutely love it. Everything that ppl complain it doesn't have is really just extra luxuries that aren't necessary for the performance of the car
I’m really impressed with the interior of the Lexus 300. The owner took very good of his/her car. Normally the leather seats would crack over time if you don’t treat it but wow!
I worked at an Aisin factory where we made plenty of Toyota parts, including the panoramic sunroofs they used starting with the 2018 Camry. It's easy to see why they are such a dependable brand. I've worked in many factory/manufacturing jobs, and they took quality control much more seriously than any of the others. We also made some parts for Lexus, Subaru, and Mercedes.
I sold my 2000 Camry 12 years ago and I originally bought it with 100k miles and it drove solid. Sold it with 200k miles and the only things I ever replaced were the radiator, battery and water pump/timing belt. It still rode and drove like a champ, only sold it since I was moving from coast to coast.
07' SE with 217k miles checking in. I bought it a few years back w/ 135k and have been consistently driving 100milea a day for work for years. Just oil and gas no brakes yet. Amazing.

@@ThePOPcultureHashira when I say left too much on the table, I mean that there wasn’t enough pep in the step. It’s basically aesthetics. The Honda reminds me some of the Cosworth Vega that I had.....I replaced the (misbegotten) injection with a new manifold and 42 DCOE Webers. Those sidedraft carbs gave it some bottom with a strong midrange and upper end. It was super easy to tune and you could wind it up until only dogs could hear it thru the unrestricted exhaust.
