hey, im new to btd6. why did you place your subs out of range of your alchemist? is it to make sure the alchemist buffs the right towers?

Hi there. Yes. Actually you can just simply place the subs anywhere as long as it is out of the Alchemist's range. The 2-5-0 Sub main purpose is to deal massive damage to every MOAB class bloon spawns during the late game. According to BloonsWiki, "It automatically triggers single-target missiles for every MOAB-class bloon spawning from the entrance, dealing 750 damage to them upon impact with no splash damage." The normal attacks of the subs are just for extra damage, but not as main damage. Therefore, it is not necessary to be buffed by alchemist.
The strategic Alchemist placement/positioning is to primarily buff the 4-0-2 Ninja Monkey (secondary to Obyn/Wizard), which is responsible to carry the early game.
