    The only thing I'd change is smaller dinette and a twin or full size, full time bed behind it. The rest can be gotten. Porta ( bucket ) potty, solar shower or campground, gym. I love it can be pulled buy a smaller vehicle. One person could live in this, oh and a dog of course 🐾😂🐾

    • @Roz.S
      @Roz.S  8 месяцев назад +6

      A lot of people put it in the bed position and just leave it like that. I work from mine, so I need to covert it daily. But it's got almost everything you need.

    Never seen one of these before, perfect for my requirements as I have a Vauxhall Combo which would happily cope with it. All the comforts are there for those of us that don't demand out and out luxury in our living spaces, the inside toilet is kind of neat, making it the full package of basic needs in a tiny footprint. I'm impressed, don't have a clue why you popped up in my recommendations but I've subbed after watching that.

    That's an excellent tour, thank you for that, thinking of buying one of these so anyone in the family who fancies popping off for the weekend with an easily towable pod can do just that. I wonder if they're thinking about producing a Go Pod with a tiny loo/shower room? I know what you mean about not liking the portable chemical loo inside. Otherwise I think it looks well designed and does what it says on the tin. By the way, Winston is just the lovelist little dog!

    Hi ho roz and winston,impressive fit out in your van given its size,i can see after your excellent demo and comments re the pop top, what a boon it is,boon? Thats an old word isn't it.? Anyway i thought your tip on closing it was a10x10.just wondering do you still get much condensation with the blackout /privacy screens up?and what ventilation do you have when the heater is on? The gas particularilly?i assume the pod is fibreglass,mostly,the shell anyway?is it light enough that it doesnt need brakes on the pod?is your van auto,what size engine. ? And does it do the job well.? towing i mean.i think its a great looking out fit,balanced and supa practical.in australia there are a few citroens,they along with peugeot have a good reputation,but not many dealers to service them,and often the low resale price,makes them a good second hand buy.thanks roz and winnie,such a great buddy to love and stroke is winston,keeps you loving roz,and HE unlike his name sake doesnt smoke cigars,eheh.happy tripping roz may karma smile on you both.from australia perth,ps we dont have snow and ice to deal with generally.cheers.

    • @Roz.S
      @Roz.S  2 месяца назад

      Hello thanks for watching our video. Here’s the answers to your questions.
      - I sometimes have condensation on the front window in the morning, especially after a cold night. I just wipe it away with some kitchen roll. For ventilation, the pod has two side vents built into the shell, then there’s two vents in the pop top, and of course the windows (which you can put on ‘breathe’ where they’re open but still locked).
      - the Pod does have its own breaks. It weight 750kg
      - I think my van is the 1.4 diesel and can tow up to 1000kg, so it manages to tow the pod just fine.
      Hope that helps.

    I would focus on the gas and your solar 100 Watts is very, very poor, you can also get flexible panels too to use your front curve.

    • @Roz.S
      @Roz.S  7 месяцев назад

      It only hold a small 3.9kg gas cylinder, so if I used it for heating over days like we have had recently (-6C at times), it wouldn't last very long. And yes, the solar wattage is poor; I don't rely on it for anything. I work from my Pod so I need to run a laptop and charge a lot of tech, therefore, I just opt for a pitch with an electric hookup most of the time and then use the electric to run everything, using the gas only for the hob. 👍🏼

    • @Roz.S
      @Roz.S  2 месяца назад +1

      It’s really easy to use. Takes less than a minute to put on or take off. For insurance purposes, the caravan must always be secured with a wheel lock and a hitch lock. If I don’t put them on, then anyone can hitch up and a drive off with it and my insurance will be invalid. So it’s both peace of mind and for insurance purposes. 👍🏼

      I've not measured it, but the specifications say 1.95meters (6.39feet) BUT the front of the bed near the window curves, so I'm assuming that measurement is at the longest point in the middle. I can go off grid for a few days, but the solar will only run my lights, 12v socket, and USBs. I can't use my 240v 3-pin sockets, and the fridge and heating have to be changed over to gas. To make like easier, I just get a hook up.
      Thanks so much for watching 👍🏼

    Hi 😊 now you’ve had this for a little while how have you found towing it? Would you go as far as Scotland or down south? We’ve just sold our campervan and don’t necessarily want a caravan but like the idea of the simplicity of the Go Pod…. What would you say are they positives and negatives of owning it? TIA

    • @Roz.S
      @Roz.S  6 месяцев назад +1

      Hey, I have towed it around the NC500 and the Scottish highlands and I'm currently in the Brecon Beacons with it. It's very easy to tow since it's no wider than a normal car, but you're still adding 5 metres in length. I have done a video of things that I don't like about the pod, you can find that here - ruclips.net/video/llqKA5sZ30c/видео.htmlsi=ekl-W1c4VuH-CUQd
      Hope that helps. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    Hello, That looks like a nice little caravan. Do you still have your kayak? 🙂

    • @Roz.S
      @Roz.S  Год назад +2

      The kayak sadly died. After 3 years, I got a little hole on one of the seams. I tried a few times to repair it, but because of it's location, I just couldn't. I bought a paddle board shortly after, and Winton and I now have fun on the water with that (videos on my channel). I keep the paddle board and stuff in the roof box of my van, so it's always there when I need it on my travels.

      You can purchase a 'Single bed extension' which makes one of the side benches a bit wider. So, yes, it is possible. For me personally, I like more room. But I know a few people that are happy with the single bed.
      Hope that helps x

    I have never understood the point of small caravans, you get all the disadvantages of caravan ownership and most the compromises of having a camper, it seems the smaller the caravan the more expensive it is to buy, why not buy a bigger one and be comfortable , they don’t take up much more room than a small caravan?
    I say this as a genuine question and not a criticism?

    • @Roz.S
      @Roz.S  7 месяцев назад +1

      I wanted to caravan instead of a campervan so that I could set it up on site and then have a vehicle to explore in without having to keep packing everything away. So that was my first consideration. Secondly, I didn’t want to get rid of my little van (Citroen Nemo). She’s a brilliant van (only got 38k miles on her and just passed mot with no advisories) BUT she has a limited towing capacity and can’t tow the bigger caravans, so I settled for a micro caravan. Plus, it’s my first caravan, so it’s a nice easy introduction to towing etc. And you get used to the small amount space; it doesn’t feel that small to me anymore. The only thing I do wish I had was a bathroom so that I could hang my waterproofs somewhere when I’ve been out in the rain. When I’m ready to change my van, then I’ll probably get a slightly bigger caravan. Hope that helps explain 👍🏼

    That fridge isn’t a good design, struggle for space and you have to move items off to go in and out of it seems silly to me

    • @Roz.S
      @Roz.S  7 месяцев назад +1

      In the newer pods they changed the fridge design so that it opens and closes via a door on the front (like a normal fridge) so you can put stuff on top of it and not move it. BUT, when you have such a small amount of aisle space, it becomes a pain to open some of the cupboards because you have to keep moving yourself out of the way to get the door open. So, it's kind of a 6 and two 3's problem. In the beginning, the chest fridge did annoy me, but now I'm use to it.

    • @Roz.S
      @Roz.S  Год назад +6

      That price almost sounds too good to be true! There's currently a 2015 model and a 2016 model on Autotrader, both going for £9k.
      But, just like buying a car, a lot depends on how well it's been looked after. Here are some things to check out that will help you decide - Check its service history. Make sure everything works (lights, brakes, hitch, gas, fridge, water). Check the bodywork. Check CRiS registration to make sure that it's not been stolen etc. Also, check the additional features such as solar panels, front gas locker, interior and exterior sockets (not all of them come as standard). Ask how it has been stored when not in use (has it been stored in a garage, under a cover, or outdoors in the elements?)
      Hope that helps

      Brand new, you're looking at about £20k. Second hand, all depends on the model, year, how well it's been looked after, and what additional extras it has. Kinda like buying a car; could be £9k, could be £15k.

    How strange to tow a micro caravan wh m you could turn your van into a micro camper van.

    • @Roz.S
      @Roz.S  9 месяцев назад +7

      ...but then where would I put all the suff that I store in my van?! 😅
      The caravan has my bed, workstation, gas/elec heating, chest fridge, 2-burner hob, sink, solar, leisure battery etc. My van carries my paddle board and equipment, bike, food supply (tins and packet foods etc), backpacks, boots, wellies, toolbox, portable shower, dog food, etc. There's no way I'd be able to fit everything into one little van...
      ...plus, I wouldn't be able to stand up 😅
