It was cloudy here in Oklahoma
But you could still tell when it happened
It got dark and the temperature dropped
WOW EH!!.....such an experience...we watched it with our grandchildren and it was such an incredible indescribable experience!!....we live in southern Ontario, Canada and , .like you guys, it got really cold, eerily quiet, and dark.......it was SO AMAZING!!...THE EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME!!........thank you so much for sharing your experience with us......
Thanks for sharing. It was about 70 percent coverage here in north Florida so not as exciting here. My grandson came home with his special glasses and I got to see a glimpse of the eclipse just before it was over. 😊

It was very eerie. We saw the eclipse through some cloud cover. Then we went to town and had to edge around the town to miss traffic. We bought pizza and way he'd our grandbaby play at a p!ayground.
We were at about 97%-98% totality here in northern Indiana. It was amazing and surprisingly moving. 😊
Totality was beautiful. I was 67 miles north of Syracuse NY, where did you go? Govenuer? Messina? Potsdam? Our neighbors have free roaming chickens and at about 85% the rosters stopped crowing. It was total silence and all the birds perched in the trees. It was awe inspiring the pre-darkness threw wonderful shadows and I was able to see the 4 planets below and to the west of the eclipse. Venus, Saturn Neptune and Mars of all the planets. My hair stood on end !!! Neptune looked the clearest. When the moon moved and started to let the light come back it was so amazing to see the birds looking confused and then they flew off to do their normal things. Our temp dropped about 8* f and wow I was so glad the clouds parted long enough for also of us to experience complete totality. Glad you came this way and were able to experience the Sun being Mooned😂😁😉

It was too cloudy in Rochester, NY to see anything. It got dark and went back to light. Birds stopped singing. It was clear the day before but the day of no sun!
I only had to drive about 45 minutes in Ohio to see the totality and I agree, it was amazing, even though where I was the totality only lasted about a minute and a half. I have not seen any pictures or videos that have done it justice because you just had to be there to get the full effect. I was at a park in the middle of the city of Hamilton with several hundred other people and they all broke into applause when the totality ended. Thanks for sharing your experience!
Wish I could have seen this one but I did see the eclipse in wyoming in 2017. We ended upin the middle of nowhere and the daytime birds and grasshoppers stopped making noises and the crickets started making noise. It was cool!
Not me over here flippin out that you WERE AT MY LOCAL GOODWILL!!!😮 I live just North of Syracuse and that Goodwill is my fav for the area. So cool that you ladies stopped there! ❤
Edited to add as I continued to watch.. I have trouble finding stuff at that Thrifty. It used to be better 😔 also, can’t believe you went to the mall. I was there last Friday, and today! Sorry Syracuse was cloudy! ☁️
The flipping dinosaur stuffy!!!!! I absolutely loved those when I was little. I have one and it’s in my daughter’s room now, as she loves vintage stuff. You should have bought it and I would have bought it from you.
My neighbor went up to NY for the eclipse and sent me the most incredible pictures!

What a magical eclipse. I’m about 30 minutes north of Detroit we got about 85% or better here. Enjoyed the eclipse in mother nature taking in the shadows on the trees, ground and water. Turned out to be quite a spiritual experience. Thank you for sharing your journey with us 😎
We experienced about 94ish% totality in the Chicago area...still very cool!
I’m so happy you two were able to experience this. We went to totality here in Oregon several years ago. It was also my daughter’s birthday so we sang her Happy Birthday during totality. It was something we will never forget.

Thank you for sharing that. It must have been amazing. We are in Illinois and around 2 pm. It got cooler and looked like dusk and street lights came on. Then it got warmer afterwards.
I haven't seen a video yet, not even on the news stations, that captured the true beauty. We were in the direct path of totality and it was magnificent. I'm happy you were able to drive to see it in person. It's such a rare occurrence so it's worth the effort.

Was in the totality path. Went outside and gathered with the neighbors but there were so many clouds we didn’t really get to see it. It did get really dark and was a little eerie and the birds roosted and had a short nap. Lol
I can’t believe you guys were at the goodwill I always shop at! I’ve found some good stuff there over the years including some Holt Howard! The clouds thinned just in time for totality in Syracuse and it was the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen! Glad you guys got to see it too!

I'm an hour east of Syracuse (99.4% totality). Watched the eclipse from my back yard. When totality was coming, I noticed birds flying into the trees. At totality, I saw mosquitoes out and the temp dropped. The sky was actually darker in the west than the east. Where did you stop to watch?
It was amazing, wasn't it! We were originally going to stay in Syracuse, but decided the morning of to drive to Plattsburgh :)

Was the first thrift store Goodwill? They had prices set like $4.32 and $1.32 knowing that people will round up to the next guy’s number. i’m beginning to really hate Goodwill. Doesn’t seem like they have anything reasonably priced anymore. I miss your thrifting for Christmas videos. I know you both like Halloween but I feel like this past year you didn’t do much with Christmas. Hope you start back into that this year.
