Shit, Kevin has serious power if he can command someone to ignore him so hard that they confess to being a serial killer.
He's canonically a 9th gen, which puts him above pyotr post-diablerie, though pyotr would probably still be on par with him due to experience. This is pretty middling by vampire standards if I remember correctly, so he's probably a one-trick-pony to have such power. Still impressive.
That just means he’s had a lot of time to refine the ability.

I read somewhere that Kevin is basically the most powerful(generation) vampire you could make as a player.

42:55 I think Big D is just playing up the shallowness of vampire blood magic to dissuade Markus. Because if you remember, Markus has tend to be reckless in seeking power, but doesn't want to damn himself when he has so much hidden potential.
That plus he's making Mages look cooler to Markus, as Markus has great potential to be a mage. In essence, Big D doesn't want his son to give up a grander power for cheap tricks
@@Organoth-wi4mx I think he also genuinely respects the magic arts and believes that vampires are piggybacking off of and corrupting “legitimate” magic by introducing blood into a practice that never needed it. Occam is an ex of his, after all.
Waters *is* Occam's 2IC & also read D's work before burning it, so it shouldn't be surprising that she knows clan names at the least.

44:14 wtf, she literally read his notes and has been in the arcanum presumably for decades, as well as being one of the chapter elders who have been explicit stated to discuss vampires. It would be weirder if she didn't know this stuff. I know this team is tricky but Occam's Razor should still be applied before reading so far between the lines that you hallucinate what isn't there and entirely miss what is.

I think she was talking about Kevin. The way D interjects with vampire wizard and all that. Plus it makes sense with what she's sayung before about D's source being right.
Simple, the arcanum was aware of the family's codenames for vampire clans, she just doesn't think in those terms so she went to use the actual name.
Big D gave an uncensored version of his notes to the higher ups.
She's a senior member of the Arcanum, so obviously she has some more advanced knowledge on the subject of vampires, probably from D himself. As for why she would mention the Tremere? Well, Dominate and Thaumaturgy are both Disciplines that belong to them, so it makes sense for her to bring the name up, especially if she's figured out that D's informant was a Tremere and that their Ghoul infiltrator was sent by the local Regent, which the Arcanum may or may not already know about.
She outright states she read D's notes before burning them. She knows information that D refuses to share with the rest of the class.

TL;DR, old-school Tzimisce are bound to the land in Transylvania, i.e. the Carpathians and the area around it, because unlike younger Tzimisce who prefer the whole flesh-sculpting thing, they instead rely on a form of very old sorcery where they are so attuned to the local spirits of the landscape that they have access to a vast array of elemental abilities, such as flight, molding earth, shooting lightning out their fingertips, or I suppose firing lazers from their eyes.

Sorcery and actual magic are different. Actual magic REQUIRES you to be an awakened mage to do at all. Sorcery can be done by anybody who knows how to do it
True Magic is forcing reality to bend to your will. Sorcery is using methods aligned with consensual reality.
You know, I still feel like my pet theory that there's a werewolf amongst them in addition to the ghoul has merit...but they're emphasizing so hard on ghoul powers that it's starting to make me think I'm wrong.

I personally agree with Airier that dr waters is the ghoul. She could just be trying to say it’s a vampire to throw off the scent.
I also believe that there is in fact a werewolf running around and is the one who tore up Fatigue, both to protect themselves and for revenge.

27:15 Not classism. Generationalism. Each generation is both less experienced and possess a less potent blood than the one before.
So not only does it require a lot of time and effort to develop your discipline to the best they can be, it's even worse because depeding on your generation you could go from a maximum of 1,2 dots as a thin blood or a ghoul to 5 dots from 13th to 8th generation and after that, each generation adds a dot, up until the fatidic 9 dot. 10 dots is impossible. It's world changing.
One needs to understand how exponential that increase is to understand the true appeal of diablerie.

Yeah, I actually told him to watch the blooper durng the stream for the Boy Story but he either missed or misunderstood me.

lost in the moment of markus taking doors advice and trying to put faith in the family; big D admitting he made a mistake. he was about to try walking back and apologizing for words made in anger and fear. something we as the audience KNOW he doesnt mean because he told kitten the truth about it. we know big d believes markus has the potential to be the greatest of all his family. meaning we know that saying he was markus's superior in every way was a heat of the moment mistake.
Not gonna lie. I'd watch the guy and Kevin detective spin-off. It's the straight man that's actully a drugy and kinda crazy but his it and Kevin is actually way more reasonable then he looks.

the photo big D had was burned, yet there was no fire in the picture (implying it wasn't set on fire right then and there.). im wondering if knowledge of the eldritch being is self destructive.
like, pictures burn, memories self delete, reality warps and dies around it.
big D remembers because he didn't make contact with the thing. he just knew that there was some "thing" out there. same with horse (i assume), Door, and Anton.
they (possibly) know OF it, in the sense that they know there is a thing out there to be known about, but they have no direct knowledge.
also, is it really strange for Dr waters to know shit about vampires? she is a senior member (elder status) of a vampire studying/hunting organization. that would be like finding it suspicious that Ellen R. Gordon knows how many licks it takes to get to the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop.
I think she made the face because it was fatigues death. Which affects her. I don’t think it’s a ghoul.
The regents is of the seven generation this means her ghouls can use disciplines up to three dots which is average as starting characters are locked between 1 to 5 dot powers, unless they lower their generation.

Sorry for comenting a gildedguy type comment in a video that isn't about him but I just want to make a request.
My request is that you watch the video of violet and gildedguy before the final one of his story. The video is not a fight and neither is in RUclips. (Is in his patreon but you can watch it there free of charge) Is more of a nice animation of him and the oc of a girl who is her girlfriend. And this animation which is in his patreon is more like a proposition animation that Michael made for her (rebonkulous) to ask her to marry him ( she said yes 🥹)
But yeah the animation isn't part of the story or anything. Just another cool and fun gildedguy animation that a lot of us enjoyed, it isn't necessary for you to see cause i don't even know if you can completely. (The song he used is bang bang and idk if it has copyright and maybe that's why he putted in patreon only)
But yeah apart from that video theres also violet vs dummy. This one is different cause it actually has to do with the story i believe. But i think the next gildedguy story is more important to watch first so you can see the violet vs dummy after you finish story 8.
