I would love a live action Question series. Not taken from the point of view of him but someone who's investigating him exposing corruption and cover ups. Think of it like a V for Vendetta. He's solving mysteries but he's the larger mystery to be solved.
Martian Manhunter is one of the most underrated DC characters & I actually believe he deserves his own solo show/movie. Ive even got a pitch idea for a Martain Manhunter show, which is a homage to the era of 30/40's noir detective stories but about Jonn uncovering a mystery of a serial killer who can change form and is undetectable because it another Martian. I also have this subplot about Jonn having a moral conflict with himself about secretly living a double life as an alien superhero and a detective with a family that dont belong to him. Specifically, I have this idea that John chooses to use the identity of the original John Jones who would be a security guard who accidentally dies when John first arrives on Earth. But when discovering that the man had a wife and daughter before dying, Jonn would feel so mortified and guilty that he decides to honour the man by making sure his wife and daughter have their husband/father and raising said family and living his life but becomes too accustomed to the joy of being a father and husband again, which would be a way of Martian Manhunter grieving with losing his own wife and children on Mars as this new family he raises reminds him so much of the family he lost. Do tell me if you like my pitch idea because I think Martian Manhunter truly deserves a project of his own in the DCU since he's a complex and interesting character, as well as the fact that he's the heart and soul of the Justice League as a founding member
I think this could be cool but it would be awesome to see that it ties into other DC characters from the same era. Maybe some JSA members active during the war? Maybe running into Vandal Savage? Captain Nazi? Etc
I would like a period piece JSA. Either in the 40s and 50s.when they were qt their height or maybe like thr comic "The golden age" or maybe a decade or 2 later and its about the legacy characters that take their place.
100% agree on The Question Tv-show , The Batman Beyond Movie and Deathstroke movie . A grounded Lex Luthor film or tv series, it would be a rags to riches story and the dangers of unchecked ambition. Adam Strange Tv show would be interesting too. New Gods movie or TV show, focusing on Apokolips and New Genesis.
Great video! I definitely think that all of these ideas could be great, personally another group of characters which I would love to see would be the red lanterns, since basically all of them have incredibly engaging back stories and they would do well as a big treat for a series or a movie with the green lanterns.
Nice choices, my top 5 DC characters who deserve their own movie or show... DC Films 1)Batman Beyond 2)The Question 3)Mr. Miracle 4)The Justice Society 5)Green Arrow DC Shows 1)Deathstrroke 2)Zatana 3)New Gods 4)Etrigan the Damon 5)Icon and Rocket
Yes, I agree. There’s so many great characters and stories in the DC universe I think that far out seed the Marvel universe. But the problem is everybody is so hung up on the Trinity and the Justice league, which is all that a lot of people know. Or if they do know some of the characters, they didn’t read their comic series long enough to know how great their character and stories are. Everybody quit being hung up on the Trinity, Batman, Superman, and wonder woman you don’t know what you’re missing.
Hard agree on all of these but especially Nightwing, Question, Batman Beyond and Zatanna. Nightwing is one of the most important characters in the Batman mythos so the fact he's not had his own standalone project yet is a crime. The Question is such an intriguing character and I feel like he could definitely pull an audience despite being a relatively niche character. Batman Beyond has been getting mistreated for years so it's about time he gets some love. And Zatanna and other magic-type DC characters finally getting a some acknowledgement in live-action would be absolutely glorious. Personally, another set of characters I'd love to see get a live action appearance would be Justice League International, I just adore that team a lot.
If the DCU ends up being successful, some of these won't be "what if's" anymore. Same goes with Justice League International. You might see projects dedicated to Justice League teams outside of the main team.
Yes, Batman Beyond would be awesome, not just the characters of Batman and his mentor old man Wayne. But the whole futuristic cyberpunk like world on top of it. is that character onto its own with all new tech and villains and just looking at the cool cityscapes, sign, and scenery.
Id love to see a video where you hypothesize the DCUs in-universe video game plans and give out some ideas for video games you would want to see. James gunn has said that the dcu will include video games, but nothing has been confirmed, i really hope the dcu does involve video games.
Although, it’s pretty obvious. We need a Wonder Woman animated series. Also, hopefully we get another green lantern the animated series tv show. My idea is that it would be Hal Jordan and the green lantern corps. I think an Aquaman tv show could be really interesting too.
If there were a Question show I think you can actually add some comedy into it for example. If Bizarro is in the Superman movie, Vic could create a theory of a Square World full of other counter parts. But no matter what I think the Question show would be really good and similar to the Moon Knight in both horror, comedy, and action.
I love the Question, Etrigan and Zatanna. For me, I would also love to see Plastic Man, Deadman, Mr. Miracle & Big Barda, Static Shock, Icon & Rocket, Creeper, and Katana.
This was a great list. I can't disagree with it. Other Characters could be launched like the Arrowverse did with CW. In fact, a version of Slade was the Main Antagonist of Oliver Queen in Season 2 of Arrow. They changed his Backstory and built a Relationship with him and Oliver.
If given a big budget I would produce a twilight zone style show around the Spectre....sprinkle, in other supernatural characters like Dr. Fate, Zatanna, Phantom Stranger,
Question series better also feature Huntress. This is non negotiable. Martian Manhunter’s story could be unique, each season set in different times. Season 1 on mars, season 2 50’s or 60’s when he arrives on Earth detective twilight zone feel, then potentially modern day for season 3 and beyond. Definitely work in MM & Wonder Woman teaming up during a war at some point in the past since both are long lived.
Honestly, I would love to see a TV show focused on Tim Drake Robin. Don’t get me wrong I’m a dick Grayson guy myself, and I also really love Jason Todd, but Tim is often the Robin people forget about which is a real shame, considering he in many ways is similar to Batman when it comes to being an intelligent detective, but unlike who has a reason to war against criminals, Tim is doing the job just because he wants to help. Obviously that doesn’t make Batman any less valid, but it is interesting to have a superhero that is trying to help purely because of noble intentions and no significant traumatic event before donning the mask.
jonh constantine has both and a potential upcoming movie that continues the movie with keanu reeves, green lantern also has a movie with deadpool playing him
Zahtana would be a great choice/best choice because she looks dope as heck and you could incorperate her father in the story without it feeling like a strike against her if it is an origin, or you can have a team up if they lived long enough as fighters. Raven is to young and Dr. Fate acted so much like Dr. Strange in Black Adam he won't sell well at all because everyone sees him as Dr. Strange now.

It would be interesting to see, mainly because there’s nothing really about old Bruce Wayne that is really appealing. For example, when Iain Glen played him in Titans, it was very unfitting as he had more in common with Alfred as an actor. If it was someone whom we have already seen as Batman, it would be easy to believe that this man was once Batman. So that’s why Val Kilmer, Michael Keaton or George Clooney would be well-suited.

The amount of war movies DC could make with the characters they have is astonishing: Sgt. Rock, Blackhawk, the Losers ... so many possibilities
I could have sworn there was a Sgt. Rock movie or show rumour circulating a couple months ago.
@tyrellmultimedia The rumour resurfaced recently and apparently its on the official production list, although I'm not sure how concrete that makes it
