Kamille Lenet i mean yeah but there’s no point in calling on a kid who obviously doesn’t know the answer and doesn’t want to be called on and humiliating them when they get the answers wrong like some teachers do. And they’re kids sometimes they forget to do their homework it doesn’t mean that the teacher shouldn’t advise them to remember next time but they shouldn’t make the kid feel bad.
Ugh! The more videos I see like this, the more stressed I get for students, teachers and parents. Elementary school is such an informal, social, friendly, collaborative environment. These classroom set-ups are so strict, rigid and the antithesis of everything I mentioned earlier. Kids like to get up, walk around and move, by nature, and now they'll have to sit at their individual desk and face forward for 6.5+ hours per day - all while wearing a mask. I've selected 100% virtual for my little ones, but I know this option may not be viable for all families. Best of luck to all of the teachers and parents figuring out what's best for their children and families during this mismanaged pandemic. I know the struggle for teachers is real, too.
This is how the school here is, we can either go one day per week and the rest of the week be online or Just do 100% online. I'm going to be doing 100% online and it's gonna be hard because I'm going into my first year of middle school. But I know it will be a safer environment for me and hopefully teachers and Family's as well.

i never thought of how much work a teacher has to do to get ready for school to start. its so much cleaning, organization, getting everything set up, buying school needs with your own money. i never thought about how much work it is. also teachers i feel like do actually more work then her students. planning lessons, gotta grade papers and tests, setting up if you do something in class thats different then usual. i knew teachers had to start going early but i never knew why and how much work it really is
@@DeannaLei you don't ever walk in a hallway? have lunch in a cafeteria? loiter with friends in the parking lot before and after school? it's a lot more than just sitting at a desk. even at the higher grade levels
Darcy Robinson exactly being in a higher grade we do a lot of work but we don’t sit in desk all day, we have things like cooking, PE, robotics etc classes that do a lot more then just sitting

My mum is a teacher and she got lucky being choosen for online instead of impreson. I can't imagine what would happen if she was in person. The school she works at already has 12 students sick, 6 teachers sick and 2 animals sick. I'm so happy that she's online and not imperson.

Oh my goodness, your school and classroom look so clean and nice! The public school my son was attending prior to closing for Covid was disgustingly filthy. His classroom was so icky. We've switched schools so I hope he is assigned to a lovely teacher and has a clean classroom when he goes back to school.
I’m a retired high school teacher. Kudos to you for teaching this year! In PA, we are on a choice system- parents can choose online or in-person teaching. I can’t imagine figuring that all out and keeping it going all year! Best of luck to you!
I live in pa and my county is mostly half and half. My school district is elementary is split into 2 days half day in person half online then the other 3 online and Wednesday no kids are in the school at all. Middle school and high school have 2 days to go to classes all day then 3 online. They’re only making elementary school wear masks part of the time and if the kids can understand. I still haven’t heard anything about head start at all so I have no clue how my sons first year in school will be at all. No one really knows how head start will look till closer to the start which is only like 3-4 weeks away.
I dont agree with sending the kids back to school. But having them do classwork at home is not good either, not everyone has a good environment to learn. So I'm torn on what's the correct way to teach them.
I mean everyone is saying how pretty she is. And how there is no teacher that pretty my 6th grade teacher was just as pretty but I’m not saying she isn’t. She’s really pretty!

This is a crazy big room, the rooms in our townships schools are half this size and they need to fit 20-25 kids. The only room this big is the choir room in the high school and the music rooms
The school should’ve bought desk shields. Kind of like the folder you place standing up when you’re testing so no one copies. Or they could’ve put a shield in between each row so kids sitting next to each other can’t have contact.
I am a Para at a high school and I worked with freshman last school year and I’m so thankful for not having to go back to traditional school just yet 😭 before the virus we would have teenagers cough with their mouths open like :O not covering at all so I can’t imagine going back to work and having to be stressed about kids doing their part in covering up, leaving a mask on, etc

Jacqueline Hall good idea. My principal gave that as an option as well. And we have two cohorts. So One set could sit in the desk at one time and then clean the others. These are such strange times. Wish I were going back 😔 it’s my senior year and my school is doing online four days out of the week and each grade gets one day to to go to school and as soon as we get there we get a health screening and we only can go to our shop class the whole day

This would’ve helped me so much as in not having to talk to classmates or do group projects because that gave me so much anxiety
If you get rid of your teacher desk you can put your round table there. A lot of modern classrooms don't have a teacher desk anyhow

Love those pants. Ur room is cheerful. Be carful with desk placement. It must be a 6 foot radius. Ur admin should be involved in this & maintenance. Is a serious issue.

Jacqueline Hall good idea. My principal gave that as an option as well. And we have two cohorts. So One set could sit in the desk at one time and then clean the others. These are such strange times. Wish I were going back 😔 it’s my senior year and my school is doing online four days out of the week and each grade gets one day to to go to school and as soon as we get there we get a health screening and we only can go to our shop class the whole day
hey girl! it’s my senior year too (21 gang!!💓) I know it’s hard right now but we’ll get through it, I think of it as preparation for college bc we basically have to teach ourselves lol. but anyway I hope you have a great year, and get into what ever college you want to be in!! 💕💕
