    So glad they told us the exact measurement of the wheelbase. That's really all I care about. Well, that and the number of antennas.

      Dumbest battery specs of all time! Still, never mentions kWh of battery, total range or total charge time. Good looking car but w/o more battery specs, not interested.

    What we really need is more mid-range/budget oriented electric cars. Also, it would be great if EV manufacturers could agree on a universal charging port.

      Aaron Wafflez leaf? Bolts? Problem is the marketing of those vehicles is terrible, I personally did not see any ads for bolt outside of a small group of tech enthusiasts

    • @morosis82
      @morosis82 6 лет назад

      Agreed. The cost of the battery at the moment is prohibitive for this, though leasing or borrowing will lessen the per month cost to a level that should make it competitive, considering fuel and maintenance savings.
      Those who like to buy cheaper cars with cash to avoid lease/interest costs, well they'll just have to wait.

    • @TheCharleseye

      We can't even get Apple to adopt a standard charging port.

      I think it looks a little too crammed with all sort of stuff and features, that it just cannot be practical. Seems to be designed to raise money, not to be a useful car. Painting a picture of a future that, in reality, hinges upon so much more than a car.
      One thing they haven´t cracked about Tesla, and that´s honesty in communication.

      He's assuming tesla will no longer innovate by saying it will be the most advanced by 2019. He's far behind with the lack of charging networks (superchargers) placed all over the country and growing rapidly everyday. To say RIP Tesla, is way too early. I am glad to see competition. It drives innovation, and lowers price.

      1 thing is for sure that screen in the steering wheel has to go cuz you dont want it to explode in your face toghether with your airbag. Unless they found a way to not need an airbag but since the only 2 safety features they found worth explaining was stupid camera's and a system to lower distractions I doubt it.

Every has to go through crash tests to make its safe to drive. We won’t see this Vehicles till 2020. Over in China they bringing there Car manufacturers GAC Motors too America Next Year look it up. @HuyV 6 лет назад +1

      I could. Cause I am a native German speaker. But my English is way less cringy. You have to actually want to speak another language. Change how you phonetically create sounds. It's way more complex than just vocabulary and grammar. And you can tell when people normally just avoid other languages as much as possible. They should have been able to find someone who enjoys talking in English a bit more. I couldn't listen to the whole thing cause it's just tiring to listen to...Presentations like these are about conveying emotion. Make someone exited! A good presentation is way more than just pretty slides and tech nitty gritty. It's psychology.

    *So much jargon OMG, and sometimes it doesn't even make sense:*
    "...so we believe that this vehicle will be a new design icon with high tech details to express our digital leadership. This is a key priority of [ours]. You have to create new design semantics that replace horse power with digital power. ..." Sometimes it's better to actually communicate with your audience than try to sound intelligent.
    In my admittedly biased opinion, it is this ability that sets the likes of Steve Jobs' apart from most presenters. I have a lot to learn. So does the speaker.

      Not to mention his announcements of the measurements...as if someone got any clearer on that. As for some bizarre reason, he actually called those the ideal measurements for a car. How is that even possible? Try parking that car in Tokyo or a European city centre. Anything but ideal.

    • @ozzyfromspace
      @ozzyfromspace 6 лет назад

      I totally agree.
      I watched a TED talk about how to have better conversations yesterday and the speaker stressed, with reason, that the listener doesn't care about the details, times, lengths, names, or any of that. The listener cares about you, so being reasonably vague is generally okay. Watching him recite the car's dimensions in feet was painful, and for no good reason because while people may have a good sense of space, they typically don't have the best sense of numeracy. Instead of offering numbers, he should have maybe compared their vehicle to a similarly sized iconic car, or something like that.
      I never thought about what 'ideal' might mean for different countries i.e. the difference between a Japanese and European city center, as you suggested. I'll keep that in mind.
      Best,

    • @ozzyfromspace
      @ozzyfromspace 6 лет назад

      Great point, Morten Tefre. Innovations are like sliced bread; they don't mean anything until people understand what all the fuss is about.
      I've noticed that the companies that throw money at their presentations usually invest in visuals, fancy lights and music, demo videos, etc, but can't for the life of them give a simple, powerful talk. An example is Faraday Future. Again, I think back to Apple's early iPhone days, where a brilliant communicator and simple slides were all you needed to prompt people to give you [and by extension, your product or service] a chance.
      As before, I'm learning all these effective things from RUclips videos.
      Thank you,
      Float Circuit.
