Don't 'congratulate' the actual product creators for giving them your award....you guys think too highly of yourselves. You simply create tech news content, know your place. Saying this as an admirer of your content.
Engadget, I thought the video was very well put together; good narration, voice, smooth music and product images to accompany your list. Nice job and thanks!
Thanks so much very much appreciate it pretty nice that you brought the aflac as well all though it for good cause I definitely respect them for going there because it is awful that any child or adult should go through that.Much respect for sharing Thanks so much Deb ✌️👍
like seriously no detail at all, they just mention the name like they are obligated to do so and cuts right off. the thing looks like a paper weight on wheel
Where the hell is Vivo's on-screen fingerprint sensor phone? It's a huge breakthrough. We can get rid of all those traditional fingerprint scanners that look ridiculous and placed in totally unreachable positions like in Samsung's S8 . I personally think that this should be the recipient of the best innovation award rather than giving Toyota e-palette twice. What your opinion guys?
old vive: 2160 x 1200 = 2,592,000 pixels vive pro: 2880 x 1600 = 4,608,000 pixels percent increase = difference divided by the original and then multiplied by 100. it is actually 78 percent more pixels
OLED is a waste of time until they fix the burn-In problem. As it stands I don't see where anybody has made any Headway in that department. Samsung at least is trying to address the issue with its micro OLED technology. Which I'm a bit skeptical on but given the less than impressive Q-LED displays. In which Samsung displayed last year it's a step in the right direction. The whole driverless car thing I think is a mistake. It is already showing is not ready for primetime. Given the various accidents and and less than acceptable performance. Not to mention the obvious security issues which certainly will be an issue moving forward.
No coach would want that helmet, that is just a civil lawsuit waiting to happen. Just think, what would happen if the coach wanted to keep that tackle for just one more scrimmage after the trauma light comes on?
The toyota e-pallette wins top choice?? What is it? Other than a distracting mobile advertising eyesore. Thats what we can expect in the near future as progress?
Kids with cancer have a parent next to them, not a robotic duck they need to stick an emoji to for 3 seconds. I sure hope parents aren't delegating to this toy. Also, all your awards were given to products that suck. Is this the "overlooked products" awards?
e-palette is really cool and has so much potential making travel more convenient and could help lessen car uses a bit but how would it fit in high traffic cities like new york and how would it do competing against taxis since this is self driving? i guess well see how well this works at tokyo 2020 summer olympics
If autonomous then they would be working outside normal hours. They would also have benefits for operators who run say newsstands. They could be loaded centrally and delivered to the destination by 3am and the staff arrive independently. Then they could be locked up at closing time and only return to a central location for refilling when traffic is minimal. So the actual chances of seeing one on the move would be minimal unless you drive late at night.
"CES is not much of a mobile show" ???!! Mobile electronics are about as consumer oriented as it gets. It's basically what CES is all about? That and the Toyota Van getting so much hype means you were pretty much high when you wrote this list.
wow, best tv product... and you somehow didn't choose the new nvidia 4k display with 120hz, gsync 65 inch, or that could have gone to best gaming product since it's essentially a monitor and finally gets us into big screen/tv monitors for the living room and not have issues with input lag that TVs have suffered with for years for gaming, but engadget clearly doesn't understand gaming. Also how on earth did you choose that toyota garbage, SIgma: Project Meteor, destroys that stupid shoe box, it allows a driver to remotely drive a truck! It has autonomous back up in case of connection errors. This allows drivers to stay at home with family, less cost associated. Just wow, I can't believe you didn't choose that. I'm gonna go head over to linus tech tips or jayztwocents, at least they understand tech.
Tech consumers are toxic. So much work goes into these devices and products. Then again, most of these companies aren't really coming up with anything innovative, they're just jumbling technologies together.
For anybody thats used VR will know that exercise in VR will not work. Apart from the lenses fogging up, your face would sweat like a priest in a playground. Absolute rubbish choice of best list.
I think the thing that made that most noise was Vivos and Synaptics under the screen fingerprint scanner.
I liked the duck very much.

The duck talked straight to my heart:-)
If you wanna make a splash at CES, just put "Smart" in your product name. Smart TV. Smart Fabric. Smart Toilet Paper with Bluetooth connectivity.
grate cam worck

Most of the awards I like, but please stop talking about the Toyota E-palette
They didn't even explain what it is, I dont get it
like seriously no detail at all, they just mention the name like they are obligated to do so and cuts right off. the thing looks like a paper weight on wheel
My exact thoughts. She doesn't even explain what it really is.
Ces 2019 was way way better , nothing disruptive was in 2018
Based on the comments, I am glad I am not the only one who thought CES 2018 was weak.
Sure did go all in with Toyota!
More categories
Yup pretty much confirms the idea that CES 2018 pretty much sucked.
sponsored by toyota look away now will save you 6min
Expensive of CES 2018.
i don't know if you've mentioned it yet, but what about the Toyota E-pallete?
time to start mass production
Muy buena edicion de video! jeje
Glad I didn't spend the money to attend. Technology this year was a dud.
Yeah man not a great way to start out 2018 especially after 2017
K Butler Tech has reached Scary Blade Runner levels
I think, more like this presentations choice of highlights
There was something similar to e-palette in one of the episodes of black mirror.
yes....I am CES person
In Black Mirror Season 4 episode “Crocodile”... there’s a pizza delivery car basically the same as E-Palette. I wonder how Toyota feels about it!
Welcome to the world of full surveillance

Lenovo Miix 630? You said 360 when you introduced it...
Chase McDougall caught that too
wtpanos lol yah I was scrolling through comments to see if anyone else did. I also googled it to see which was incorrect.
I'm trying to figure out why voice commands over pure awesomeness screen is better...
Oh god people are going to be wrecking into e-pallets.
We also have to give the best wearable award to THE TOYOTA E-PALETTE!
Seriously, this screams sponsored by Toyota.
Nice Chinese Lenovo advertisement 😁
Vive Pro does not double resolution (615ppi vs 448). The rest of list is not credible too
the ppi isn't the resolution and its not how you measure resolution either
old vive: 2160 x 1200 = 2,592,000 pixels
vive pro: 2880 x 1600 = 4,608,000 pixels
percent increase = difference divided by the original and then multiplied by 100.
it is actually 78 percent more pixels

The E-palette ? What? It looks as dumb as the concept ...
Kind of annoying that you showed the e palette 3 times but you didnt show it actually doing anything...
There was no devices based on graphene?
No coach would want that helmet, that is just a civil lawsuit waiting to happen. Just think, what would happen if the coach wanted to keep that tackle for just one more scrimmage after the trauma light comes on?

My wife just bought some stereo synth pajamas that replicate a partners movements , is there a way to mask out ?
E palette looks like the thing from a black mirror episode
Typo on mi
Lenovo mix 630
Where is Vivo's on-screen fingerprint sensor?
Lenovo Miix 630/360?
What happened to the new Dell XPS 15"?
lenovo miix 360??? or 630 +Engadget
Could've picked a better thumbnail. I immediately thought of the Vegas shooting when it popped up on my home. 🤔
Did you even look at all the laptops? You couldn't have, because there were much more powerful laptops that were far better than Lenovo's offerings.
Is this sponsored by Toyota??
At 3.03 it's lenovo miix 630 not 360😅

Ryan Kim It reminds me of a ground version of the flying vendors in The Fifth Element. That really stuck with me when I saw it as a kid.
Not very exciting, but a good coverage
Jeez, could this update be any more light weight? Where’s the detail? This video did not deliver.
Those e-dogs are getting a lot closer to real dogs.... maybe in another 10 years.
Brought to you by Lenovo.
Lazy list making. How can you have a best of list and put one company in three categories! Lazy, lazy, lazy
brought to you by Toyota, that e-pallete is weak sauce and can never make it past concept. What happens if it hits or gets hit? Totaled
Adam McGee then you get a new one
Future will have less accidents due to autonomous driving.
That Reminds me Of Black Mirror
Retro cars will be banned if they are driven by any sort of gas in the future.
Electric is gonna be the way to get around by 2025-2030.

Coming stock with an i5 processor, how on earth did the Lenovo Thinkpad X1 ever get their "award"? Bribery?
Giving Best of CES to a concept? And it’s not even a working concept. Just a box with tv screens
Boy, that event looked very lack-luster. I bet there were a lot of disappointed attendees.

Thank you for the vote Braheem! :-)
Wtf does the epallet even do... i dont get it...
Pimax 8k is better with its 200degrees of fov.
when will they make a healing machine for every disease thats what they need to focus on.
Yo
You talk about the Toyota for many times, but you have not explained enough what it would do,
What a boring review / CES. Glad I didn't go.
Are yall sponsored by Lenovo or something Jesus
Comfortable margin my ass. Best part they not even try to hide it.
Miix 360 lol
This is a weak list. Most of these items will never see production. Giving the same item multiple wins is pointless. It's just lazy.
Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooring!
R u sponsored by Lenovo??
@hakki_alkan
Not the best CES
Tech consumers are toxic. So much work goes into these devices and products. Then again, most of these companies aren't really coming up with anything innovative, they're just jumbling technologies together.
OMG! Everything sucks, more of the same tech, zero innovation. Boring!!!
fuckin lenovo
Pffff 3 timez toyota weak
Stupid video is sponsored by Toyota I bet
For anybody thats used VR will know that exercise in VR will not work. Apart from the lenses fogging up, your face would sweat like a priest in a playground. Absolute rubbish choice of best list.
btw, the stinkpad, stinks. looks like the same pos that it was 20 years ago.
Most useless, that is not even for customers, so should not be on Ces (CONSUMER Electronics Show) you call the best ?
this is a waste of time....
This was the best? pure gimmicky junk
lame..........................
Commercial poor video
Boring
Yawn.
