I'm hardcore sony fanboy, but I have to say there was nothing interesting from Sony this year.
Sony gonna go out of business soon. At the very least they should salvage Playstation and make Sony solely a gaming company like Nintendo and they'll do fine. I always liked their design but srsly their products are garbage.
Jarren Ong Only Sony Electronics is doing poorly. PlayStation (SIE), Sony Financial, Sony Pictures and Sony Music are doing good.
Sony do the best TV's, Cameras, Audio, phones. Then you got PlayStation and Sony TV. They are still the market leader in them sectors

Only Samsung announced VRR and eARC on their 2018 TVs but that too on HDMI 2.0b, no HDMI 2.1 device by any manufacturer this year. But since Nvidia announced their own G-Sync TV series that means no VRR support from Nvidia or any HDMI 2.1 on GPUs this year. AMD already realised their roadmap yesterday with no new Vega desktop GPUs this year

frank miles No, this doesn't mean anything. It's a marketing term. Sony over the last 5-6 years has just resorted to copying Samsung and LG in the home theater space. Kinda sad, they used to be such innovators. What having no money does for a company's R&D... Hope they pull through, but Sony has been hemmorhaging money for several years, outside of SCE and their financial services division.

marksapollo PS4 outsold both the switch and X1 according to MOST of the npds of 2017. Especially December, the most busy and profitable month. So I'd say Sony owned even the US, worldwide is another history. The switch doesn't even come close when we look at worldwide sales figures. The only country that it is consistently leading is Japan and that's it.
