Nice video! When I saw that Tommy wasn't restricted anymore, I tried to use it for a Plesiomon/Hexeblaumon deck that turned out pretty fun with the bt14 blue source-strip cards. Now that gomamon x and plesiomon x are out, the deck feels really fun and decent to play with the blue hybrids base.

Another great video! While I may have prefered for there to be more decks shown that can utilize blue hybrids, I understand that you are a busy man especially with the amount of content you have been putting out as of recent. I still think the video served the purpose of educating people on the viability and adaptability that blue hybrids as an archetype has well. I am curious about your next endeavor and what your opinion on the new blue hybrids support shown in BT17 and possibly some hopes for what BT18 may provide to hybrids as a whole since I believe it is rumored to be centered around hybrids.

There was so much more I could have said, but time has definitely been my enemy lately. This easily could have been an hour long guide 😅
I have been spending a lot of time with AguBond recently, but haven’t quite cracked it yet. Otherwise it’s all BT16 prep.
As for the BT17 stuff, I feel it’s mostly it’s own thing. AncientGarurumon is at least accessible and makes for a nice alternative to MirageGaogamon. My concern though is that they locked that line to Koji, and they might further lock down the new hybrids to just their original tamers, which would be a disaster for deckbuilding.
I mean, the BT12 Red Hybrids are great cards, but the deck has no flexibility and that hurts its longterm viability.

@@kevinski-tcg I am excited to see what you have in store for Agubond especially with the new ace card seeming to be a nice alternative to the og.
I agree in the aspect that it is worrisome that it may get tamer locked. It seems to be a possible route they are heading down but my hope is that if they do tamer lock it then they keep the enemy hybrids (Lanamon, Mercurymon, Arbormon, etc.) Generic. We saw in BT12 that they kept those ones generic while the Takuya line became tamer locked. There is almost enough for each color. We would be missing one but they could get wild and do more dual colored hybrids the generic two colored hybrids could get busted but very creative with deck building

They are certainly testing the waters with dual colour hybrids now. From the looks of it, things will go as you suggested, with the villains being generic (except for the corrupted warrior of darkness, probably), and the main characters being tamer locked. I mean sure, each will have 8-12 tamers to work with, so you have JUST enough to make a viable tamer centric deck (Marcus Damon and Takuya at 8 copies seem to spawn from security fairly often), but you lose your ability to tech generic tamers as effectively.
Depending on how they handle Koichi and Duskmon, we could actually see Purple Hybrids take the place of Blue Hybrids as the more flexible, adaptable build given how toolboxy purple is, and how easily you could do something like splashing in a Leviamon package.
Or, they just make a rainbow hybrid deck with the mechanic turning into Susanoomon turbo (via EmperorGreymon and MagnaGarurumon). So we might see Emperor and Magna borrowing the old Susanoomon’s evolution condition, or they implement jogress in a way that isn’t too janky (like how they handled Omnimon ACE).

@@kevinski-tcg I really hope that they keep to their own colors and not make a Susanoomon turbo. Don't get me wrong, I like decks that kinda break the mold but I feel making a deck like that will be a detriment to all hybrid decks.
I hope that I am wrong and that they do make more generic support for everyone. What I would really like to see is some searchers for the other colors that are considered hybrids themselves. I use Betamon and Agumon in my Green hybrids list for tamer and level 4 search but the fact that I am bottom decking my top end and rookies hurts. More viable top ends especially for yellow, purple, and black.

I dont mind Susanoomon turbo if it’s handle like the Royal Knights deck. Each piece gets its own line/deck, buy can still function as part of the meta archetype.
