    Hey guys! This is my first time doing an optimization video! Just wanted to put something out there due to the lack of content in this area.
    There's alot of stuff I didnt touch on in the video like making sure Game Mode is enabled in windows, as well as overclocking and other tools you can use, this video is strictly what to do in terms of the game itself. If yall want to see more in depth videos on certain things let me know! Hope this helps someone and leave a comment!

    **DISCLAIMER**
    BenchmarKing has a fantastic video that goes much more into detail for the in game settings, check it out here:
    ruclips.net/video/J8ocCI5j8Xg/видео.htmlsi=zDuAbDBdbSIIIvuk
    If you’re on AMD you can still disable TAA with the config edit, but you wont have access to nvidia inspector for the dlss to dlaa tweak.
    Depending on your system you might not want to use framegen, definitely test it for yourself, more fps is always better unless the input lag is unbearable.
    Also, if running it as Admin doesn’t work just dont use it, it has something to do with the permissions on your pc or could also be something to do with your version of windows. Its to help with performance and mostly latency, but dont sweat it if it causes you issues.
    Yes, dlaa is already available as a setting in game so technically you dont need nvidia inspector, but, in my testing the nvidia inspector override looks and runs MUCH better, ontop of the fact nvidia inspector is a great tool to have.
    If you’re on a lower end system and really need the extra frames, dlss does give better performance at the cost of visual clarity and blur. With TAA disabled, just be aware ingame dlss is going to look pretty terrible because it relies on the TAA to compensate.
    Lastly, the nvidia inspector tweak applies to ALL your games if dlss is available, unfortunately there isn't a way to set to a game by game basis atm, so keep that in mind.

    Hi, what's your opinion on "negative lod bias: clamp" specifically? I can't make up my mind about it.

    • @mellowistaken
      @mellowistaken  Месяц назад +2

      Based on the research I’ve done, it’s an extremely dated setting that most games now don’t take advantage of, and having it enabled (allow) can affect texture and aliasing quality, so setting it to clamp helps to prevent any visual anomalies. It’s one of those things were I set it to clamp and forget about it. If you look it up on reddit there are multiple posts that talk about the potential issues with having it set to allow

    I would avoid framegen unless you're okay with more input lag. It delays a frame to generate the in-between frame. So if you're already low'ish FPS you're stacking input lag.

    • @mellowistaken
      @mellowistaken  2 месяца назад +1

      Atleast for me, I havent noticed any input lag. It does have to do with whatever your base fps is, so yes if your fps is low to begin with you might notice more input lag, but generally for a game like this more fps is king

    Thank you for the video. I wish the game would be better at explaining things. My FPS has been more stable turning down most things to low with not a noticeable difference in quality. As for objects, I noticed if I set it to low the polygon count of rocks on the ground would drop and would change once you get close to them. So I changed the object setting to high and it's not as distracting with the polygon count changes. Once again thank you.

    • @mellowistaken
      @mellowistaken  2 месяца назад

      @@hawk356 interesting, thanks for pointing that out! Imo that’s probably something you can just keep on low if that’s all it’s doing, it’s definitely not noticeable unless you’re looking for it. Glad the video helped! Enjoy :)

    game looked good tho just not frames

    • @mellowistaken
      @mellowistaken  Месяц назад

      @@jdnbyd Depending on your gpu i would try turning texture quality to low, and global illumination to medium if you have it set to high, if you have frame generation make sure you enable it as long as the input lag isnt too bad, and using DLAA with the nvidia inspector tweak can actually cause performance loss as its rendering at your standard resolution, so you dont get the increased frames that you would normally get with normal dlss, the game looks much better tho at the sacrifice of some frames. If you changed your nvidia control panel settings / inspector settings to mine, that may have caused some frame loss as i stated in the video i focus more on latency.
