Well, I've been busy lately with doing a lot of comparison shopping, and so far in my opinion KLLM has everyone else beat. I still have to get in touch with a recruiter soon, and I still have some personal business to wrap up, which will take me into late October (a little later than I planned). So, unless I end up marrying a rich widow, I think I'm sold on KLLM. Well, like a stripper, more will be revealed! Stay safe, and please keep these great videos coming!

Why? You answered your own question... Driver says to themselves "I can't go home for 7 days or I lose my truck"..... I can't go home for 7 days being the thought they want in the driver's mind.

They aren't bad, definitely better than any of the megas, I drove for them for 2 and a half years OTR and on a dedicated lane for a year of that, even in the bad freight market they kept me rolling pretty good where I was grossing at least $1500 a week, I left KLLM in February only because I found a local/regional position with hogan that would have me home nearly every night and 2 days off a week and paid right about the same

Ive been driving 25 years, and im just shy of 3 million miles, and absolutely every mile ive driven, ive had a pistol with me. All companies will preach that u cant carry one in their truck, but theres no way they will know if you keep your mouth shut. Its only company policy, theres no federal law stating you cant have a firearm. Ive been asked several times at weigh stations if im carrying and i always tell them yes because it shows up that i have a carry license. I deliver to alot of military bases so i check my gun in at the MP shack and pick it up when I leave.

I carry my freedom launcher everywhere. I spent 22 years of my life in the Army protecting the freedom we cherish and there is nothing getting between me and that freedom. Better to be tried by 12 than carried by 6. Also it would suck making it back home after 8 tours overseas and die here because I wasn’t armed.

Likes, I agree; different perspective on your complaints:
    1. dam 😢
    2. More than 7 days - most I’ve gotten is 9 (with truck ✊), heard others getting 2 weeks, but your truck is at risk of getting cleaned out after first 7 if at yard, dispatch is supposed to route you to a yard if requesting more than 7. Tip: always take trk home for hometime, out of sight and out of reach; also can put it in a local shop, I’ve gotten 2 weeks twice that way.
    3. depends on your dispatcher; also otr has 60-70 drivers, dedicated half that, but I never really had issues reaching mine.
    4. eh, they’ve never said anything to me, as long as you hit your fuel stops; maybe it’s changed for otr and they are more strict now, even dedicated is stricter.
    5. Large dog, or a cat 😺for me.

i bet no upper management didn't give up any bonuses. their way of making you not take 7days off without telling you no. ............. what do they use for tracking hours a tablet or what? we need the feds to make it so we can get a 50 state carry permit. we can now just finally get one in MD. even though you need to jump through hoops to do so.

I don't understand why you are so bold as to show logging off duty then moving tandems and working under off duty. If you are ever in an accident later and they find out about your videos, you could be toast. But its your choice. Thank you for your videos. Be careful. Take care.

It is legal according to US DOT but each state has there own rules. Depending how you travel with them some are easier than others.
You can not have a federal concealed carry. That is not how are system is structurally. Almost all criminal laws are passed by each state. Those federal laws that can be passed are clearly stated in the constitution for example interstate trade foreign trade and treason.

I was looking long term for lease so my other three companies were Hirschbach, Prime and Schneider. KLLM had the easiest way for me to get my CDL and of course the best reviews. Hirschbach was a close second for the lease.

I haven't watched the video yet but if your doing a lease purchase they cant dictate what you do or time off also since its a contract you can literally take that truck to another company as long as they agree to make your payments

    • @stevesliff
      @stevesliff  3 месяца назад

Correct. A lot of freedom with time off and refusing loads if they do not make sense. Would have to look at contract on the latter, but that would be cool if one had that option. Thanks for stopping by and supporting.

you cant take it to another company with most leases. it's in the fine print. If you lease from a dealer you can but most company leases you can't.
