Hey man I really appreciate you making these videos. Was watching while I was starting my trucking journey. I’m now 4 months in at a different company in Texas.. BUT I’m getting ready to switch over to KLLM by the beginning of October. Pretty excited
i am navy vet and 45 and thinking againnfor like the 4th timw about trucking i work for delivery service but no benefits drive 16 ft box truck drive 2000 mikes week salary no benefits
Steve, thank you for the videos. I've been thinking of returning to the trucking industry, however, I'm still on the fence about coming back. I am retired from the federal government and drove for six years before leaving. My question is do you work with a reliable recruiter that I may email him or her specific questions about KLLMs lease purchase program. I'll use you as a referral when I make contact with the recruiter. Thank you Steve I appreciate it and be safe out there
Thank you for stopping by. I would contact Jack below. While I do not get referral monies, you can let them know about me. Maybe they will send some funds my way. LOL. Let us know how it goes. Jack Ferguson Experienced Driver Recruiter Office: 1-800-925-1000 (Ext. 5426)
No... That wasn't the best edit. I was trying to explain with that me going to lease and then moving to another division, while going on an already scheduled home time and vacation, my average miles dropped for those 18 weeks. I was trying to let newbie company recruits know that if they averaged those lower miles, they would still do pretty decent for their first year, but most, including myself are doing more miles than that. Thanks for the question and stopping by.
Hey I just started with KLLM 09/19 , getting ready to go on the road with my trainer. How do I get on the Eco side? I have my hazmat and tankers.. I think this would work out for me I live in Houston, TX…
We don't really care what your miles are because that doesn't tell us what you're able to take home, put into your business, etc. Most of us want to know more about operating the business side of it. I hope it's going well though.
That's really low pay even in this market.... I average 1700 a week company driver at American Furniture Warehouse off for 2 days after 6 days driving with vacation and benefits personal days sick days
Yeah, had a couple of comments on this. I needed to explain it better. This was pay for new drivers. I just based it on a not so great 18 week of miles since I went home a lot, transitioned to a new division. Just trying to say at the lowest point a new person can do alright. Gonna have to make a new video explaining it better. LOL. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
No worries. I should have explained it better. It was just an 18 week snapshot at a low point. It is not my pay as lease, it was based on the new hire pay. Was trying to explain to new folks, that even at the low point, they can start off decent.

Don’t do lease, it’s a rip off
Are you saying you're leasing a truck and you're only going to gross 70,000 for the year is that right

Good to know. Thanks for the idea. I will work on a video on the more business side of leasing. Thanks for stopping by.
Your videos are awesome! I think you spent all your money on Diet Pepsi!
Thanks. I can't verify or deny that pepsi statement. LOL

not trying to be rude but 1400 sounds company driver money from a decent company.

I’m a company driver at KLLM and I average 1500 a week and that’s taking home time every 2 weeks
I mean home time lol
