- 2022 was The year after Covid and we just wanted to go to Mexico. Enjoy some nice weather and good food, is that too much to ask? Mexican Military had other plans for our HDT Big Rig and for us the border was shut down!
We did the research but did not plan on the Military to intervene. So...here we are thinking about doing it again. Are we hard headed? Or are we stupid? To move forward, we must look back.
We are driving south but headed to the East Coast. Wait?!? Does that make sense? It does if you want to detour down to Mexico before you get to the Georgia coast...but the eclipse and totality come before that...which means Arkansas but wait, we're getting off track a bit. Let's watch the video.
We are not Snow Birds but we do like nice warm weather and heading west is the best.

We like to "Switch it Up" between resorts and campgrounds and boondocking is always an option.
We draw inspiration from Keep Your Daydream KYD, Less Junk More Journey, Finding Our Someday and Changing Lanes. We normally travel in an HDT similar to RUclips channels Suite Travels, Switch it Up and Watts on Wheels. I also get some ideas from the editing style of Happily Ever Hanks (Happilyeverhanks) #thankshanks and believe it or not, I actually learned something from MRBeast Mr Beast video's as well.

Our Class C is built by Thor Motorcoach on a Ford F550 chassis. It's a production build Magnitude model XG32. We tow our red Jeep Wrangler Sahara behind it. We've made some modifications to it so that we can boondock comfortably. Lithium batteries, Victron 3000w multi-plus inverter, dual alternators charge while traveling and mods to the water system greatly enhance it's boondocking capabilities.
Our extreme completely custom 5th wheel is built on a semi-trailer chassis with air suspension and air brakes. Completely loaded it weighs 42,000 lbs rolling down the highway. And we do roll down the highway nearly every week. You see, we believe that if your home has wheels they should be used.

The border guards probably did you a favor not letting you in.
That is very possible but we enjoy the culture, food and the people of Mexico. Our experiences have been good South of the Border but it is true you have to be aware of your surroundings. As in a city such as Chicago or Los Angeles there are good parts and bad parts. We always strive to be in the good parts so that our experience is safe and enjoyable. So far we have been successful. @@logpile1318 it also really depends on the place you visit in mexico honestly
Cartels are fighting it out right now, probably a good idea
That huge Rig calls for attention.
Cartel boss would have loved to own that rig, as these two walked back to civilization.......
You were not denied or refused entry to Mexico. Pretty obvious that crossing is not designed for trucks who have separate entry points. Nogales would have let you through you just have to use the Mexico Truck entry points, and you'll be fine. Which is what the border officer was trying to tell you. It's still a truck. Their rules, and it's our responsibility to know where we can cross. Get a Nexus or Fast for global entry and speed up the process. Love my Nexus. (Canada US entry program, also good for any global entry point, and includes pre-check when you fly.) And only $50. I went to Italy came back, did eye scan, gave receipt, no questions. Find the easy path.
We went to San Luis and they told us that unless we were commercial or selling the truck in Mexico (both with proper documents) that a semi-truck is not allowed in Mexico. Period. And we were denied entry because we tried in San Luis at the commericial port of entry.
That border guard is your guardian angel - going to mexico in that truck is like playing the Russian roulette with a machingun lol
You may be correct. We've had good experiences in Mexico but we've never traveled in our Big Rig. Thanks
@bigtruckbigtravels that's like walking in front of a pick pocket with a stack of hundreds poking out ur pocket . Or dangaling a steak in front of a tiger and expect the tiger not to eat it
Let them find out!!! That’s how Americans learn by fckng around and finding out!!!
@@nadezdha746 that's true. You have to be aware and respectful of your surroundings and the local culture.
@@bigtruckbigtravels Its all depend of Luck but only takes one time been at wrong place at wrong time. Do your research of the areas and routes beforehand. Good luck have fun. Always better to keep low profile.
Interesting conversation at the border. Having travelled internationally a lot for work, I've learned a couple things.
- don't argue with the folks at border control.
- the folks at border control will not typically tell you the "why," just what you can or can't do.
Not sure why you want to take your rig into Mexico but good luck.
No kidding!! If I had a monster rig like that, there aint NO WAY I'd even consider taking it into Mexico.
Early 2000’s a guy took his racing car to the Baja they took his car and enclosed trailer

During your intro it looked like Mickey & Minnie were also stressed, hunkered down for try #2 🇨🇦 ❤

Wow, that was a little scary maneuvering there. Sorry things didn't go as planned. Thank heavens you're familiar with alternate locations. Wishing you safe travels
Thanks for watching! Appreciate your comments. We were disappointed but life moves on. We're glad we were familiar with the region.
It was heartbreaking to hear that denial, but thank you for sharing the experience with us. The only thing good about that was making the tight turn. Good luck for next week!
Thanks. It was a tight turn for sure. Glad they had the gate open!
Good luck!
I've watched other full timers in 5th wheels go within this last year and they all had a great time and saw the most beautiful beaches
I hope you guys can go!
Thank you. We will keep trying.
If only our border was that secure. Probably a good thing that a Cartel leader didn't "like" your rig and decide to keep it as his own.
We're hoping to fly "under the radar" so to speak...but maybe in our rig that's a little difficult?!?

Thank God you weren’t let in. Take it as a sign. The guy was taking pictures to send it to his crew, look at what’s coming 🤤
🤔😎😂🤣You may be correct!
No, that’s not how it works, if cartel steals a pickup is because they can use it for themselves, your rig is not they can use, they told you, those are not for private use in Mexico so they can’t get away with stealing it and driving it around the country. Don’t listen to people that all they know is stories from the media

I don't think you watch the news often. Would be a good idea to get updated on current events with our neighbors south of the border. Just saying...
Oooo nooo 🫢 really !!!!?? of course we know plus they didn’t deny them. They just told him to go to another cross border where they allow that type of trailers to go through.
I feel really sad for you guys because I know you want to travel there, but, everything for a reason. Times are changing quickly! What used to be something wonderful, is being replaced by some very scary, ugly things. Please be safe in your travels!❤️~Wendy

When you kept telling him it’s a private truck doesn’t make it all of a sudden legal after he told you multiple times it’s illegal to cross there.
Yes, I couldn’t believe he wouldn’t take no for an answer! They are damn lucky they didn’t get searched and their rig tore completely apart.
I wanted to make sure he understood what we were so that I had no regrets when we turned around. But appreciate your time watching.
I was very professional about it with no emotion. Just simply trying to make sure that there was no misunderstanding.
Boy I bet that was stressful. Glad you are all ok
Thanks, Brendan. It was stressful but surprising too since we thought we had spoken to the correct individuals at border patrol earlier. Oh well...another day, another plan.

I really like you guys, trying to go to Mexico right now not a good idea you could get across the border and one of the cartels could tell you they wanted your rig and there's nothing you could do. So please be careful staying away from the border might be a good idea at this time. PS Someone is looking out for you because this could've ended really bad.
Thank you. There is usually a reason for everything...whether we understand it at the time or not. Appreciate your comments.
I love Mexico, have travelled there many times, but over the years sadly things have changed, and not for the better. Crossing the border in your car is one thing, but taking your home with you attracts too much attention of the wrong kind. For what it’s worth, I would avoid Nogales especially. Most of all, I want you to be safe. Take care
Thank you so much. We really appreciate it. The world has changed drastically over the past several years. We try to be safe everyday.
The state to completly avoid is Tamaulipas, Please dont ever cross there. Speacially in Flashy cars

I agree with everyone else. No matter which border crossing, you never argue with them. They could have very easily detained you, and searched your vehicles.
Thank you but I felt like I was very professional and detached emotionally. Just trying to insure there were no misunderstandings.
You are going to a place where it is safer to be indiscreet. The cops there are mostly crooked and your rig is ridiculously big. If the cartel finds no interest; the cops will find a way to get some $$$$$ from you. They are not pleased with Americans right now. Good luck
Stay safe love ur semi and rv
Thank you. We really enjoy traveling in it.
They wanted to call it Y, but AZ requires a town name be 3 letters, hence Why. Everyone in AZ uses that crossing to head to Rocky Point. Bri g the smaller RV next time. It's great.
Thanks. That's interesting about the reason for "Why". Someday...we'll get to Rocky Point!
I think the Mexican military with those large rifles should be on our side of the border keeping everyone back from our border. I think we should learn from their actions.
They were very firm in their regulations. It was a little unsettling to see all those firearms around on the other side of the border!
they were looking and taking pictures probably because they had never seen an Rv that big.. not even in the US you see an Rv that big… props to you for wanting to go to mexico and have some nice vacations.

Hi folks, all is well that ends well. I salute you both for trying to cross into Mexico.
In 2018, we took our kids (3, 5, 7) to visit Ukraine and Russia... took a train all the way from Moscow to Vladivostok (Pacific Ocean), stopping at all major cities along the way.
Friends and family thought it was unwise, unsafe, and all that jazz...
We had a wonderful time and can't wait to either do the train or maybe RV across Russia.
Nice meeting you in person (Tok, AK)
Safe travels!
That sounds like fun! You were close to Russia in Alaska! Great talking with you up north. See you down the road.
@@bigtruckbigtravels
Looks like many folks were worried about you getting robbed in Mexico.
Canada should be OK as long as you zigzag around Chicago, Detroit, NYC... and all the other very safe USA cities ;-)
How about Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, summer 2024?
I remember you mentioning it in one of the clips. Would be amazing to see you folks up north again.
@5slavicnomads maybe in 2025 or 2026. We definitely want to see that area. Great seeing you in Tok at the fuel stop. Safe travels
You can go into Mexico just that small borders won’t allow rigs or rvs thru. Would recommend to call ahead of time to see which border allows entry
Thanks. You are half correct. But Mexico classifies all semi-trucks as commercial, so you have to have the proper documentation. We can't get it because we're a private truck.
Around 1987-ish we had a COOL little Fishing Village down by Puerto Peñasco that we visited. ( We are from San Diego. ) We took a Mexican Highway outside of Yuma to head South. We were on the Mainland side of the Gulf across from San Felipe.... Cool old Lighthouse and miles of sand dunes to ride the Quads on.
Going to Mexico in the 80's was SAFE... I'd NEVER go into Mexico today !!!!!!!
El Golfo most likely.
good times! Remember those for sure. Thanks
If you take the cost to replace your unit NEW times 26% I think that is what the Mexican government will charge you if for any reason, theft, it burns up, etc, any reason you do not take it back across the border they will tax you. If it is new or nice and you like it do not take it over the border into Mexico. I am not against traveling to Mexico, just do not be flashy at all like being in the inner city. Take an older vehicle you can resell when you get back. Even people that want to live down there are advised against taking an expensive car across the border to drive, they are told to buy a vehicle there. Not at all saying not to travel there, just need to drive something of less value and stay safe and healthy, I really enjoy your videos. BTW even 1 ton pickups are getting turned away at some border crossings. Had a video pop up in my feed from a channel I do not know a couple weeks ago and they had to turn around with their dually and 5th wheel. I know Mexico wants the RV people to cross and spend money but they are turning back vehicles that get stolen down there to often or even remotely commercial but not being used as commercial.
Hmmm...that's interesting. Maybe Mexico is trying to save us from ourselves so that we have a good experience. Thanks for the insight. We're going to still try...we have a new plan.
@@bigtruckbigtravels Whatever you do stay safe and healthy. Should take your ford down there it would be easier to travel in.

I’ve trucked the 48 since 1977. To this day I wouldn’t even consider going south of the border. North is different. CRAZY
Going north is definitely easier! Just not in January! Lol 😆
They just saved your life my Guy.
There's a reason for everything... we were thankful to be able to turn around at the border and continue our travels.
Have you guys ever thought about downsizing and traveling in a smaller unit seeing that’s it’s only the 2 of you and all the hurdles you have to overcome like parking , finding camping that suits you etc.
We have done that in Alaska...and who knows? We may have other trips planned in our Class C as well for areas more suited to a smaller RV. Thanks
You got cannolis... The first time he said no truck entry, I would have asked for instruction to get out. Never would I argue with or challenge a foreign border guard. That could have gone downhill in a heartbeat.
True. But he was very nice and I wanted to make sure he understood our situation. Thanks
Bienvenidos a Mexico!!!
Gracias! Appreciate you taking the time to watch the channel.
Park your rig in Ft. Lauderdale and take a cruise thru the Panama. They make a couple of stops in Mexico, interesting but pretty darn hot! Get off the Cruise Ship in San Diego and fly back to your rig. You can have your cake and eat it too! Too many banditos that would love your truck, contents and worse….. be safe! Besides you can go to In and Outs until you can’t eat anymore…..!
🤔😂🤣That's funny about the In-N-Out's! You have a point about the cake and eating it on the cruise ship! Thanks
Well sometimes it has to do with weight load over the roads or over Bridges and in other countries there are a lot smaller than they are here in certain areas
We think it was more about their regulations but we really appreciate your time watching the channel and are excited to have you along on the journey. Thanks for being a part of the story.
From San Luis Rio Colorado you may go to Puerto Peñasco
Thank you and that's true. But Mexico classifies our truck as commercial. We're private so we can't get the proper documents to cross in the big rig. Oh well...we'll get down to Baja in our Class C. Gracias.
Probably a blessing.

With all the crime that you hear about south of the border I feel that even as a Latino I would prefer to stay in the good old USA. I would be even less likely to do that trip as a gringo traveling in a mansion. You’re brave. Good luck and be careful.
Thank you...and yes, your opinion does give us pause as we don't have the same experience as others which is a great teacher. So "ignorance is bliss" may be what we are experiencing with trying to cross in our home. We have a plan...so we'll see.
@@bigtruckbigtravels sorry. don’t mean to sound like a know it all.
Going into Mexico in the current atmosphere is actually risky. The cartels are running the government. A rig like yours would be vulnerable. Members of the cartel(s) take what they want. Perhaps you should be thankful.
It’s not that bad in Mexico, there is obviously bad parts that you try to avoid! Every state or country has those parts. Don’t live your life in fear

IT appears the border guard didn't understand that your unit was giant rv , not a commercial unit. The technique for your case is to talk to a director at a major crossing (example laredo) and acquire preapproval from the big boss, with signatures and seals/stamps.
You are correct but we spoke to another officer in the commercial side in San Luis near Yuma and he echoed what this gentleman was telling us. Oh well...
Might have to go in your smaller RV. Cheers
It's a few thousand miles away but that may be a plan for next year. Thanks
added an extra 500lbs with that bladder. no big deal for a HDT but something to keep in mind if you have a pickup.
That's why the HDT is nice. We don't have to worry about 500 lbs here or there. Thanks
He was looking out for you cartel would’ve loved your rig sir

We really enjoyed it. Beautiful area. Thanks
Every border crossing should have a "denied" turn around that is plenty big for tractor/trailers... You guys are adventurous!
I agree, Steve. Appreciate the comment.
When you did get to cross did you have to show proof of insurance, really enjoy your journey.
Nope. We've crossed quite a few times in the car and have never been asked for Mexico insurance documents. For longer than a one day stay, I would always have proof of Mexico insurance.
Just found your channel. Are the axles on the trailer tandem (wheels)? I had a 40’ triple axle and will never own one again. Pure junk. Dual axle and tandem is a proven design and only way I would go again. Nice rig. We are currently living aboard a Kadey Krogen trawler cruising the east coast. Probably do the RV route again the next five years or so.
That's very nice cruising on a Kadey Krogen, great vessel. Yes, our trailer has dual tandem axles on 22.5 tires. It's a SpaceCraft we designed and they built and based on a semi trailer chassis with air suspension and air brakes. We've thought about doing the Great Loop and Bahamas too. Glad you found us.

Can i ask you about your solar setup? Rob got us a victron & 520ah of lithium ion batteries installed in the winter. Then we ended up get 400W of solar in quartzite. Well now we got the bug and now want to be able to boondock even more places and without having to turn on our generator. it looks like yall have a good amount on top of your rig. We've just bought 6 more panels at 375w bifacial each. I think we might buy a couple more batteries as well.
How much do yall have & what can you run off it? We have 3 ACs and know we probably wont be able to run all 3, but wondering if yall ever run 2 ac's off what you have. And if so, do you think its enough? Trying to decide what all we need to get before heading to boondock all over utah this summer, knowing itll be hot there june & july.
We have 3250 watts on the roof and 30 kwh of Lithium batteries in a 24v configuration. We have 4 4K watt inverters which power everything on batteries. We have a 36K btu mini-split system which we can run on batteries... and do. The last few nights have been warm as we have dry camped so we have run the A/C overnight. Very efficient, we wake up around 75% SOC and with full sun are 100% by early afternoon during this time of year. On solar, go big or stay home! The more the better. Also, as large a Lithium bank as you can handle, 15 kwh or more.
@bigtruckbigtravels oh wow! We never really thought about solar til we got to Quartzsite. So now we're trying to figure it all out. There's so much to it!
Was that a "Spanish Fly" on 18:08...hmmm lol😅😅😅.
😂🤣😯🤣😂That's good!
We decided to not take Nomad Monster into Mexico. In Canada our Volvo is registered as "Motorhome" and the trailer is registered as "travel trailer", but in Mexico they don't go by registration or current use, they go by what the intended use was when it was manufactured. In Mexico ONLY Mexicans can drive commercial vehicles. So, if you made it past the border and got stopped at the next checkpoint, they would probably seize the truck and leave you with possibly the trailer. If you are lucky, you could hire a Mexican driver to get it back, but not likely. Also, you are only allowed one vehicle - you have three. Truck and trailer can be split between the two of you, but the car is one too many. We have the Volvo, the trailer, the bike and the car... so we cannot go in. Now we have a Jeep, we can park on the US side and make day trips. Good luck with it...
Thanks. You are correct. Appreciate the professional insight. We were misinformed a few years earlier by their Border Patrol officer.

Situations at the border can change from day to day, so what was true "last year" (or even yesterday!) may not be true today. And what one person says today may not hold true tomorrow. Something you get used to when you live in Mexico. Hoping you made it across this time and have a wonderful time in this beautiful country.
Thanks, Susan. It is a changing landscape when it pertains to border control, one which we weren't prepared for in 2022. We have a new plan for 2024 and hope it works out. Thanks you
Oh, I see what happened. You were trying to cross at a crossing that is not equipped to check trucks or large vehicles. The other crossings have big xray machines and more people. You need to use a major crossing point.
Yes, he was saying that but also saying that a semi-truck in Mexico is only considered commercial so if I don't have the proper documents the truck could be seized.
Border Information
Note: Vehicle permits are not required for Baja, northern Sonora State & Quintana Roo.
You cannot get a vehicle permit if you hold Mexican Residente Permanente status, you can if you hold Residente Temporal.
Important note (Jun 3, 2016): I am getting reports of people being refused permits for 3/4 ton trucks & up. This is because they are taking the GVWR figure off the registration or door sticker, which is the max loaded weight of the truck & cargo. In these cases the 3500 kg limit is exceeded. Banjercito's own website is contradictory on this subject (see images for downloading below). Problem crossings appear to be the Guatemalan border, El Paso, Laredo and la Paz (ferry from Baja). I have had no reports from Nogales which is my recommended crossing. In the interim, I strongly suggest anyone with a 3/4 or 1 ton pickup, download these files and print them out and I also suggest taking your unloaded truck to a commercial scale and get a print out of its unloaded weight. Ask them to put the VIN number on it if they can.
To confuse matters more, the SAT website (they set the laws) states it's 3500 Kg (7710 lbs) cargo capacity. This is NOT GVWR. GVWR is the safe max loaded weight of a truck to where the axles and braking system (whichever is less) can withstand the load. GVWR is the Curb Weight of the truck plus the maximum cargo capacity (including Pasenger weights) set by the manufacturer for safe operation. It is NOT just cargo capacity, as they appear to be interpreting it as. GVW is the weight of a vehicle, loaded or unloaded with cargo, at any given time. GVW is fluid number, GVWR is not.
I believe this all boils down to an issue with translation from Spanish into English in Banjercitos documentation. SAT sets the regulations, Banjercito applies them.
Update September 2022
Ok here is the latest. This issue is still ongoing. Banjercito showed me a memo stating that SAT now considers GVWR and Cargo Capacity to be treated as the same (It is not). That makes the paragraphs below more or less useless. However, I did find a helpful agent who told me you should do this is you have a 3/4 or 1 ton:
1) Take a photo of the truck hitched to the RV with the front plate clearly showing. Print it out on a full sheet.
2) Only cross at a crossing that has an Aduana office.. (Nogales, Laredo, Mission, La Paz)
3) Try to get the permit in normal fashion . If they won't give it to you try showing them the picture.
4) If still refused, go and see the Aduana, he should inspect your rig and determine it is being used for recreational purpose and provide you with an exemption form

Thanks and we had all the proper documents. We enjoy the culture, food and the people of Mexico. Our experiences have been good South of the Border but it is true you have to be aware of your surroundings. As in a city such as Chicago or Los Angeles there are good parts and bad parts. We always strive to be in the good parts so that our experience is safe and enjoyable. So far we have been successful. Appreciate your comment and your time watching the channel.
It wasn't as much a "where" we tried to cross but more of "what we were driving". A semi-truck is commercial in Mexico. Period. As such you need proper documents or they can seize it.
If I understood this video correctly the beginning and the end were the only new parts, the failure to get in was all from 2022. That was shown in previous videos.
You are correct, Kim. We were setting the stage for next week's video to see if we can cross the border this time (2024) with our new plan. Thanks for watching.
Why did you argue with the guy at the border? He was very clear.
I was definitely not arguing but I wanted to be sure he understood that we were private and I was hoping that he would have let us pass. He was very clear on the truck issue in Mexico so I did not pursue it but we were told by Mexican Border personnel 2 years prior that our truck would be ok to go into Mexico. The gentleman I was speaking to was military and had different orders than the border security personnel.
Probably for the best. I’m quite certain you’d be easy targets with your rig. There is a very good chance you’d have never returned home.
It's possible but we're fairly careful on where we land for the night. You never know but we've always had a good experience in Mexico.
Should of used the truck crossing . But god bless you , you will atract the wrong attention driving that beast .
Yes, should have started in San Luis. Appreciate your time watching the channel. 😃
He told you to go to a different way . Thats what he was trying to tell you to through San Luis or Nogales . Dont let that encourage you not to go back mexico love everyone is the haters who is trying to making look bad. Anyways love from a Mexican to you from Los Angeles Ca .
Thanks, Briana. We didn't give up. Our next video is how we got across the border! Love your country and the culture. Thank you for watching the channel.ruclips.net/video/SpTcbMXJ9ow/видео.html
I am kind of glad you were turned away. I have talked to some off-road individuals who race in Baja and San Felipe. They told me, “we were pulled over by police, equipment and tools were taken before they let us go.” Maybe it was for the best.
That is very true. We have heard similar stories...there is always two sides to any story but it does give you pause for sure. Thanks
Personally, I won't even go to Canada anymore. Wouldn't consider Mexico. Hoping for the best outcome for you two.
Thank you. The world is a weird place sometimes.
Living the dream Godspeed
Thank you, Jaime. We enjoy it and love going down into Mexico. We've been fortunate to have good experiences.
IF IT IS A RIG THAT IS NOT THE CORRECT ENTRY FOR YOU, SO YOU NEED TO GO THRU A BIGGER PORT OF ENTRY THAT HAS BEEN A RULE FOREVER. So don’t get upset and go to those others port of entry for RIGS GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN
Thank you. That's true. He's telling us to go to a commercial port. The problem is we're not commercial so we can't get documents for a lawful entry. Appreciate your comments. Thanks
THEY WANTED TO SEND YOU THROUGH THE CROSSING FOR COMMERCIAL TRUCKS MAYBE IF YOU TOLD THEM THAT IT WAS A PRIVATE RV/TRUCK AND NOT A COMMERCIAL VEHICLE. WELL MAY GOD BLESS YOU FOLKS IN ALL YOUR BEAUTIFUL JOURNEYS. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
We tried. Mexico considers all semi-trucks as commercial, none are private. That port of entry can't handle commercial. We need proper documents to cross into the country and since we're not commercial then we can't get proper documentation.
@bigtruckbigtravels OK thank you.
Just wondering did you have to get your CDL to drive your set up
No. Texas requires a Class A non-commercial endorsement on the license with the successful completion of road and written tests. It's titled as a private truck.
It has to be ways but i guess it has to be pricey ,and the right people
We enjoy Mexico and had hoped to get in but we tried a different way. Camping on the beach is awesome.
It’s illegal to bring any guns to Mexico. Didn’t you hear about the military guy that accidentally brought a gun and he was imprisoned in Mexico?
Well god lives a trier! It’s interesting where is Mexico on the southern border?
I hope you try where the guard suggested I’d love to see you get through but I worry as well because today Mexico is not that safe any more
Safe travels ❤❤❤❤
Mexico is on the United States border from Brownsville, Texas All The Way to San Diego, California!

I would not want to take my travel trailer down there, let alone something like that. I’ve had friends that were born in Mexico and now live here in Arizona, that have gone down there with their side by side’s only to be told they needed to pay some corrupt cops a certain amount of money or they were taking their stuff. My wife and I had our truck stolen from a parking lot here in Phoenix and was found 2 weeks later in Mexico. Our insurance company said we would have it back within a week. Then we received a call from them a few days later saying the Mexican Police were not going to release it. I’m sure the Police Chief was driving around in our new truck. You have to remember, it’s Mexico, not the US. They have much different rules down there, especially when it comes to Americans.
Interesting. Terrible about your truck. It is a different country but we've always had a good experience down there. You definitely have to be aware of your surroundings. Thank you for the comments. 😃
Pretty sure i saw you guys in colorado couple days ago
We passed through on I-25 toward the end of May.
U guys r crazy 2 go there...
