Steve, I was wondering cause I am interested in coming on board in future. I have 5 years experience. If you request a Freightliner will they give you one and can you take hometime wherever you want? I have family all over and like to visit on occasion. Thanks for your time.
If they have a one available they will offer it. They informed me of three trucks and I picked on. Yes, you pick your hometime and can pick it in a different city if you have family there and it's on a route line.
Most spots are easy to get into. There are a couple you will come across where you might get nervous. Take it slow and if you feel it’s not going easy. I just get out and ask for help with an extra set of eyes. Most folks are willing to assist as long as you don’t get someone out of their sleeper.
@@ElGringoLocoOficial yeah man, go for it. Rolling down the highway is the easy. City streets are pretty easy now as well. You gain confidence pretty quick being safe and knowing your own limits.
Been doing this 15 years. By far the hardest thing for most people is the shifting. Backing is simple if you have any common sense. Shifting takes a bit of muscle memory. Same concept as a car but not the same.
It is up to the individual driver. I was out for 2 months by choice once. They will not force you to be out. One can go home every week if you want, but highly would not recommend that. One will not get good miles.

I am not too familiar with the teams, but I would think it would be at least 3 weeks.
