  • There is increased competitiveness between two crucial plane makers, Boeing Inc and Airbus. But who’s going to win? Boeing has quite a bad reputation with the constant safety issues that have undermined the brand. But it is surprising to see that airlines desperately need Boeing 787 now more than ever. Why?
This video will show why Airlines are now fighting tooth and nail to own their fleet of Boeing 787 more than ever.
Airlines are suffering from immense pressure exerted on their brand, not necessarily by passengers demanding better services but by growing competition between the leading companies in the aviation industry such that everyone is trying to play catchup in different ways.

Boeing 787 is one of the best commercial planes in the market, big, but not soo big that is impossible to fill. The problem here is that Boeing closed the production line of them in "Boeing Everett Factory" to make all the planes in "Boeing South Carolina" with very low quality which reduced the production of the model with the FAA checking all produced planes. It is cheaper (man hours)/salary in that line, but the quality is vital on a commercial plane. The backlog of 787 is around 450 planes, and at this moment that factory only could fill 2 per month. Another problem in the management of Boeing, probably if the plant "Boeing Everett Factory" is still open several orders will arrive at Boeing.

so why do the airlines buy Airbus planes, maybe Boeing give the biggest discounts. people forget that Boeing made the 737MAX jets that crashed and killed 316 people., so the newer 737 MAX have newer technology. So Airbus have some delays in parts delivery. Boeing of course give big discounts to get sales, to keep shareholders' profits ( of course Airbus also have many shareholders, but what is the difference, At least the Airbus A380 running again

Lol !!! The A330neo doesn't have a new wing it's just a beveled wingtip addition to mimic the A350! As on the 777-300ER versus the 777-200ER, the first of which also has an addition for a 64-meter wingspan You are comparing a 30-year-old aircraft against a brand new technologically advanced one... The fact that the A330neov is far more expensive is that he's not a real long haul. It cannot offer berths for pilots and flight crew on long trips like on the 777, 787 and A350 ... The 787 is definitely the best, Lufthansa, Air Tahiti N, Hawaian Nui and Hawaian to name a few did not order the A330 while companies that own A330s preferred the 787 Dreamliner. The Airlines which ordered the A330neo do not travel more than 7 hours of flight with a lighter freight capacity than the 787 Dreamliner. The 787 is the best ever built, 1000 were delivered and 400 remain to be delivered. It sells at a higher rate than its neighbor A350 and seems to be winning the battle

Here the maths if you can't have it:
      1400 - 2011 , 11 years on the market
      920 - 2015 , 7 years on the market
