I have an original TGT, TSSH shifter/brake and T LCM pedals. I love it for Gran Turismo 7. When it dies (if it does) I am now looking at the T598 or TGT2.
Its the best option if you like gt7. Has a transducer too. Im on a simagic alpha and I have used a csl elite belt drive and I was blown away at how close it actually was. Definitely should be considered more closely to dd than to gear drives like a g29. Much stronger too
It's not 500 Australian dollars that's for sure, this wheel I'm showing is $809 Australian dollars, the new one would be around 1500 Australian dollars
@@kareenhand1567 not in Australia, you do understand the prices in the video are Australian right? So the DD Thrustmaster in Australia I around 1400 dollars and this one was 809 dollars. So how is the DD cheaper?
@thatslotcarguy absolutely 💯 I just bought the T-GT II and EVO Racing 32R rim Thrustmaster sent me the T-LCM pedals to review on my channel they are awesome
@@thatslotcarguytrust me, i was using Heusinkveld pro pedals for 2 years. I had to sell it and looked for a new set of pedals, i thought lets try the tlcm. Those pedals are awesome. I bought simagic spring kit to mod the brake a bit. I also swapped clutch and throttle springs and now those pedals are just as good as the Heusinkveld. Get them!
TGT-II is a fantastic wheel considering it's belt driven. Very high price for it....given the very budget pedals included, but I love the performance of the wheel & hub itself. I unmounted all my Fanatec CSL Elite gear to give it a try and never put the CSL Elite back on after that. I still would like to try direct drive and have been looking at videos of the T598, but don't feel I can justify switching over; as my current wheel with the TCL pedal upgrade is doing such a great job. I still have my Fanatec gear in case Corsair does something big. but I reside in Asia and Fanatec doesn't ship where I am whereas I can get ThrustMaster in many brick & mortar or Online here; so there you go!
i would definitely consider the fanatec csl ready to race bundle idk what its in Australia but it is around £100 more than a g29 and is a 5nm direct drive i dont know much im starting to learn, but i know it is a great deal for its price
hi the T598 is £449.99 in the uk so i think thats about 877 dollars in australia so for an extra 68 dollars you cud have got the new T598 with all that new technology ??? i myself have a TGT 1 wheel had it since launch in 2017 so thats 7 years without any issues doesnt even get luke warm after 3 or 4 hrs and its a fantastic wheel i wud be very reluctant to change to the new T598 wheel maybe i would go for it when they sell just the wheel hub on its own in the new year ? or i may even replace with the newer TGT 2 base ? I saw a review on you tube of the new T598 and the chap on there stated that if you were coming from a tgt you may not like the different feeling you experience ? I myself when playing ea wrc game have to turn the SAT down to about 48 otherwise the wheel is too heavy and in rallying you need a light resistence as in real life so you can make lightning fast actions on the wheel !! so my dilemma T598 or TGT 2 ?? any advice would be very appreciated thanks in advance
@@thatslotcarguy you wanna do baby steps when getting into VR, short races , dont look around the car too much , keep your eyes on the track ahead of you and dont put the car into reverse as thats a sure fire way to make you wanna throw up. but also i think the main thing you can do the help you is have a fan or 2 blowing cool air on you when your racing in VR. it took me a week or 2 of doing that to get over the motion sickness and now i can race for hours hassle free

@@thatslotcarguy im in canada. A t-gt here is 800 usd which amounts to about 1000 cad total. TGT 2 is a great wheel I've been using it for 2 years no complaints

Thrust master just came out with a direct racing wheel or a new generation racing wheel from what I seen for $500. I would’ve purchased that instead.
It's not 500 Australian dollars that's for sure, this wheel I'm showing is $809 Australian dollars, the new one would be around 1500 Australian dollars
@ it’s less than the racing wheel purchased in the video
T-GT II is way more expensive
@ the T598 is a new direct drive racing wheel from Thrustmaster being sold cheaper than the T GT II

Great video and great explanation. 100% with you at that price point and Moza not officially available it is another brainer to go for the T-gt 2
I agree mate, little strange Moza isn't on ps5 but I'm guessing some licensing agreements are at play
