The nearest commercial track center to me is 4 hours away here in Florida. I really wish I had one within my county. The hobby is more popular in the north and midwest us because of winter. Good video.

Nice set. I'm partial to the z style but don't like the yellow. I owned a 1980 Datsun 280zx in silver with t-top, and a 1986 Nissan Sentra 2 Door Sedan.

Fav is the 510…a soft spot for those as my neighbor gave me a 1969 4dr 510 when I was 15. Nice set though!

Personally I don’t like plunger style controllers. I have been replacing them with the Truspeed controllers. You can get longer cords, it’s not that big of a deal to add additional driver stations.

I appreciate the way you think about the experience of using this track. Constantly tweaking the line of sight, the race flow, etc. You seem very intuitive about providing “the why” people might catch fire about model car racing. Models are just that; models. We, the hyper attentive folks, could geek out on historical racing detail to the point that our passion for diorama rivals museum archeology. Glory to the historians out there. You are loved. That said, my home grown plastic creation pulses excitement on bro-mance nights where we order pizza with jalapeños, create racing rules that make no sense, penalize each other with IPA’s, and laugh hysterically while behaving very competitively to the final moments before the uber drivers show up. (sometimes…that’s the wives. …always on time for some reason. (drat!) ) Your videos have given me useful insight. Thanks.❤️ DC-O

Cool, I Rang the Guy today @SHOW US YOUR SLOTS, Will bring my 1980's Flexi with a hotted up Group 12 motor Has not been run since late 80's Trying to get my kids to like slots, if they like it i will buy one each for Christmas but not a $400 one :) it's a shame there are not too many tracks around.

It might be every two cases we get a new team (Hot Wheels tends to keep things for at least two cases, so it might be longer than a month. Saw Ministry of Diecast got a long card of it posted today. Stupidly excited as a Honda & open wheel fan. I know these are gonna fly off the shelves, so I might have to wait for the 6-months-later stuff to arrive at the supermarkets where there is less demand.

I do like this car but I suspect Avant Slot is cutting corners with all these 'bolt-ons'. With the wheel axle bearings integral to the green pod then the gear and pinion should pivot on the outer black chassis in harmony. If it sticks, then, as you inform, it's a bit shoddy but nothing that a quick exacto blade along the edges will not fix. However, there seems to be an inner pod or motor cradle which is screwed in and if this rocks or is stressed relative to the framework part of the green pod then the pinion will rock relative to the gear and then the whole thing will no doubt sound like someone pronouncing a long German compound noun and this as your quick demo informed to find without so much as electrically tensioning the thing. Is this just some cheap short cut to be able to deliver in line and short can motors into the same green pod frame? This seems to me to be an old slot car with half way home bolt on upgrades being sold at a premium price which is really something of a shame.
