BRAVO, OLIVIA!!!! Thank you for showing us how easy it is to put on the Omnipod. My son is 5 and should be getting his soon. You have proven to him that there is nothing to be afraid of. THANK YOU!
Thank you Olivia, as a grandma of a 21/2 year old diagnosed recently, I couldn't imagine how all the pumps and sensors attached to the body. I envisioned tubes and wires hanging out all over. I can't tell you much your video meant to me! Keep up the good work, you are a beautiful little girl!
Olivia is so cute. I've had diabetes for 12 years and now thinking about get an insulin pump. I'm in my late 30's. I'm so impressed to see a 3 year old having confidence to wear a pump. I'm ashamed as an adult to be afraid of wearing a pump. Thanks for this video.
Olivia is such a lovely little lady. I remember when my son was diagnosed, insulin pumps weren't approved for children yet. So glad to see that now there are many options to choose from, of course with the approval of your insurance company and doctor.
Thank you Olivia, both your videos were very helpful. Francisco our son is 4 years old and was diagnosed 3 months ago with type 1 diabetes. Thanks for sharing
Our three year old Olivia (she goes by Olive) was just diagnosed last week and she hopes to be as brave as you! Thank you for showing us, we can't wait to get on the pump (with really cute stickers too!)
Thank you for this video. We are trying the OmniPod tomorrow for my 5 year old. She wanted to see what would happen. Your little girl did awesome and it made my little one not as scared.
This is a amazing young lady and dad. I'm a single parent I have a girl took full custody when she was 7 months old. And I've been scared diabetes runs in the family my mom dad and sister and cusin aunts uncles and it skipped me so was afraid it would get my baby. Well she's now 17 years old and only has had Asma at 2 and at 14 found out heart murmur so God's been with us. Now me I don't have diabetes but I have alot other wrong. I'm 100 percent disabled I get around soso but in major pain 24 7. But my heart goes out to your amazing daughter and you. Thanks for making these vidoes I watched the first one and now I'll watch your latest one. You should do more and share so people no it ain't scary so if there little ones are going thru it it's not to bad. But that smile on both y'all has helped me smile. If you don't mind I have something ide live to send y'all it ain't big but ide live to mail it to yalla maybe it will bring y'all a big smile like y'all have gave me. If that's ok. Thanks for the smiles and very inspirational vidoes. God bless
Olivia is so cute and upbeat and reminds me so much of my daughter Jovee who is also Type I and just turned five. Jovee is getting her pump next week and has been counting down for over a month. I can't wait to show her Olivia's videos. :)
Hi Olivia! Thanks for your video on the Dexcom G4 and the Omnipod... My daughter is 5 as you are... and she started to use the Dexcom almost 2 months ago... Now she will start with her omnipod in 2 weeks... she was a little scared but after watching you see feels save and happy!!!! We are in Sweden and she wants to make a video as you did... so kids can understand her in Sweden as well! THANKS A LOT!!!
Olivia is adorable, and so smart. By the way, where did you get her hair cut? I really like it......it's the kind of hairstyle that'd work equally well on a little girl, and a grown woman.
Well, the video has been inspiring. I thank you for taking the time to make it. Me and my wife are quite new to this. Our daughter is 2 and half years old. and stated with type one, 6 months ago. Sadly I live in a country where technology like this takes a lot of time to come. I am working to get it for my girl. Would you recommend the Omnipod for a girl so small like my daughter? I have been told that we must wait because she is really small.
:) She's adorable. I was dxed at 6, and my first shot was given to an orange, and then my father let me give him one (not real insulin). She's lucky that she has a father that can relate, and on the same pump. :)
Thank you for making this video! My son is 2, and we just ordered the OmniPod to hopefully start for him later this summer. I've shown him this video a few times to start getting him used to the idea of the "pod" (he already wears a Dexcom), and he LOVED watching Olivia:) He asked to watch it several times! I really like the idea of letting him decorate his pod...do regular stickers work, or do you have to order special stickers?
She is very mature about having diabetes and having to deal with the pump I'm proud of her I'm ten and I have to get blood draws due to hypothyroidism 😀
your daughter is ridiculously cute!! Our T1D is 4 years old and we are looking at the exact same combination of the omnipod with the dexcom G4. He's very apprehensive about this. How was your daughter when you first started and how did she do for the first few applications?
Amazing! I'm a T1D and have been for 27 years. My 8 year old son was just diagnosed and I really want to get him on the pump. I think he will really like the Omnipod. It looks very "kid friendly". Do you have her on the Dexcom CMG as well?
Olivia thank you for this video , to Olivia's dad I have 3 years old girl me and my wife decided to put her on the pump OmniPod , we select this type because it does not have tube ,please share with use your experiance with omnipod, is Olivia happy with it? howlong you change it every three days , my doctor told me it is two days and start to be off fron the skin , when Olivia was using the pump what her A1C number? And why you select one touch pump? Your soon response will greatly appreciated
i have type 1 diabeates and i have an omini pump as well as a dexcom it sometimes hurts a little as they are located on my left side just under the left side of my rib cage so i dont acidentally pull them out when getting dressed
Please answer this I am a type one diabetic and I might be getting a pump. I really love the sticker on the pump can u tell me were I can get stickers for it.
pumppeelz.com is a wonderful source for sticker and skins, but lately we have been using designer sheets of duct tape and cut to size....works awesome for both the pump and dexcom sensor.
have you ever thought about using cbds,i know a few clients that no longer are in need of their meds for diabetes because of cbds, please do research first
She is Absolutely ADORABLE 🤗. Great job kiddo you did amazing and so brave.
