      It suits perfect since mellitus in diabetes mellitus comes from honey. Since mel is honey in Latin.

    This poor girl. When they were talking about how dangerous sleeping is, I completely relate to that. I don’t have diabetes but when I was at my worst in my anorexia, my heart rate was in the 20’s. It would drop drastically at night and there was no guarantee that I would ever wake up (spoiler alert, I survived and recovered). At the hospital, every 10-15 minutes the nurses would check on me to make sure I was alive and didn’t die, go into cardiac arrest or have a seizure. I wasn’t even scared of death because I had tried to kill myself a couple times, so I really had no will to recover. Idk it was a really shitty situation but I’m doing better now. I still have trouble eating but it’s much better. I encourage anyone out there who has an eating disorder to trust me and recover. It isn’t easy I know, but it’s worth it. Be strong, I believe in you and I love you 💕💕💕

      Kayies M idk dogs have incredible sense of smell and senses! They have feelings as well... I have 3 small dogs, 2 chihuahuas, a cairn terrier and one day I was crying, really upset and they all jumped on my bed licking me and barking at me, trying to comfort me! Animals are amazing and their love is so pure!

    • @potatoO0o
      @potatoO0o 7 лет назад +69

      My dog is a twat. He doesn't have any other sense than a sense of smell. His nose is constantly on the ground. I could be bawling my eyes out or having an epileptic seizure and he'd be out of the house as soon as he'd smell a deer or a hare. But I love him. He's great.

    I just got diagnosed with type 1 not too long (maybe like 3 months ago) & it still hits me like a truck when I know I could easily die if I'm too low in my sleep, & it's happened twice so far. I dropped into my twenties in the middle of the night & I couldn't speak or move so I couldn't call my mom & luckily she was coming to check in on me not even 10 minutes later. Let's just say it was the longest 7 minutes of my life.

      Not trying to be rude but having a service dog doesn't make people "lucky" Matter of fact people with service dog's hate this word. Because ( I my self-had a sdit ) and it's rather annoying than pleasurable to hear trust me lol. And we aren't really lucky because we get approached, we get rude people, we get nice people but we aren't lucky we don't take dog's around for attention and it's like their our only life line to help us and when they get distracted it's basically the end of the road for us.

    • @smpolit
      @smpolit 6 лет назад +1

      Banshee owo No, I'm saying you're lucky to have a dog. I don't think it's "lucky" to have a disability or disease that makes you need a service dog. I would love to have one for my 6 yr old who has type 1 but we could never afford one. I consider myself lucky to be able to afford his medications/supplies while some people don't have access to what they need. In no way do I think my son is lucky to live with this horrible disease. Just different perspectives.

    It is good that there are service dogs, but the stuff that a service dog does a regular dog can do. I started to train my dog my self when she was six months old and I trained her to learn my moods, stay by my side, stay when I say and other stuff and now she knows all of it.

      Biancca Raines lolzzz which philosophy did you adopt?! Dogs are "created" to "help" human, dogs need to have "purpose" in their lives; hunting dogs, sheep dogs, guard dogs, etc. Even sheep dogs need training omg why ure so oh never mind.

      Yeah it helps with my three year old. I have to give her at least 10 carbs before bed so it can stay at a steady of 200 by 2 am and slowly drops through out the night. In the morning it's between 90-180

    ok i have type 1 diabetes and i'm on the exact same insulin pump. i don't understand why she has to take saliva samples. if you feel like you have a low blood sugar, you test and eat something with a lot of carbs. if it's high you take insulin

      Nick the Stick it depends on how bad the persons diabetes is and how well they’re able to maintain it. Each chronic illness is different. I’m glad you’re able to manage yours! I’m not being sarcastic. I have a service dog for a heart condition and if you don’t need one you won’t want one. They’re so much work. So I really am glad you’re able to keep you’re maintained!

    How can somebody so young and has a normal weight get diabetes? That's scary.

    • @cheesecake7274
      @cheesecake7274 7 лет назад +78

      It's type 1 diabetes. Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disorder that has nothing to do with weight, old age or lifestyle. It usually starts under the age of 15. It's a different disease than type II diabetes which mostly affects the elderly and obese people.

      type 1 is simply the pancreas that stops producing insulin which is why we inject ourselves with it.Usually, the pancreas is what keeps your blood sugar at "normal" levels but without it and if not diagnosed in time can be fatal (losing an eye,leg,arm because of sugar buildups in your system)
      Sorry for my so so english btw XD
