    I have been suffering from coccyx bone pain for couple of years. Had an MRI early this year. Heard nothing from hospital so thought everything must be fine. 6 months later contacted by hospital to have another MRI with contrast dye. Got a phone call from the neuro doctor saying there's been a a finding what looks like like a benign tumor. He also said it us an incidental finding. Have been worried sick for nearly 5 weeks. No one has got back to me since. Worried about having cancer 😥

      Keep educating yourself. I found that many times they dont look enough into it and it gets worse down the road. Get expert opinion of a doctor that wont be obligated to pay for your cancer treatment like many hospitals would. Doesnt it Seems like thats why the cancers are not found? This happened to someone I know.

      I can't get them to do one with contrast, so you're lucky. I've had tailbone pain since 2017 and this is my fear. Call the hospital back and ask them what the solution is. Bug the crap out of them.

      That's what I have and I've had tailbone pain since 2017. I also had a Polinidal Cyst remove 30 years ago and didn't consider that it could come back, but from my own research, yes, AS can. Mine is worse when I sit in a chair, but sitting with my legs straight out isn't so bad. It's the worst when I lay down. You may also have a fused L-5 and S-1 which is common with AS and the absence of a disc causes tailbone pain. If you've had a Lumbar MRI, it will be stated as "L-5 S-1 transverse processes." The solution in that case is to have it surgically seperated and have an artificial disc installed...I hope you find a solution, because I can't stand it anymore.

    Hi! I’m 38, almost 3 years diagnosed stage 3 colon cancer, 3rd generation CHEK 2 positive, and have had a partial resection. I’m experiencing moderate to extreme tailbone pain on a daily basis for over 3 years and have had ct scans finding nothing “wrong” with my tailbone and told every doctor I’ve seen about it to no avail. Would you be able to review records before a physical appointment? I’m in South Carolina and you’re quite far for a guy in pain:) Thanks in advance... just ordered your book and praying for some relief.

      I’ve been to see Dr Patrick Foye (aka The Tailbone Doctor).
      He wasn’t able to help me at all, but was able to diagnose. I’ve been suffering for ~ 9+ years and NO doctor has listened before or since that visit.
      The best thing I got out of my visit was him telling me

      @@mastatoulok555 hi, I actually just got a diagnostic a few weeks ago... something called concoxia? Idk how to spell it lol. But it’s just random swelling of the tailbone that causes pain and tightness. He said he’s only seen it 3 times in his career and they were all young females who used to do horse back riding then stopped. Which is exactly my situation. I was taking tylonal and Advil every day but my doctor found a bed that works and I only need to take it once ever 2 days. It’s called naproxen, it’s an anti inflammatory and last about 12 hours. Been a life saver.

      @@SJReptiles how are you? Are you still on Naproxen? If so be careful, the stuff nearly finished me off! I started getting very heavy nosebleeds with no warning, then they more or less became projectile, literally spurting a yard away. I mentioned it to someone that I worked with and she didn’t believe me until 10 mins later when she witnessed it herself! She had me in the car so fast that my feet nearly didn’t touch the floor 😂

    I've been having progressive pain in tailbone and trouble sitting for several months. Severe constipation;
    My medical history is a mess, believe I've had lyme for years and am late stage if so. Doctor thinks I'm nuts.

      I’m sorry for what you’re going through. This doctor almost never responds on here. I’ve been to see him in New Jersey. Call his office, or join his facebook group if you’re on there.
      A great thing to use for constipation is to sprinkle a pinch of flax seed on your food once a day. Not too much until you know how much you’ll need. It’s fantastic, but might take a few days for you to notice a difference. Flax seed allows stools to absorb moisture and softens it, allowing you to go. It’s tasteless, has no texture (kind of like using pepper on your food has no texture). It’s non-toxic and natural.
