confused at first that the title was obviously changed after boston win for video posted before olympics but amazing to see how she can run 2 laps down to the second like that over and over. i was never more than a recreational level runner, but in my best days i could only run a mile or so at that pace before running out of gas. running a marathon at only about 10 seconds faster seems like another species to me. the mens record standing below 2:03 for a while now is like fiction.
kiplagat won the world marathon majors series 3x, previous year won boston and finished 2nd at worlds, and also previous new york and london winner. deba ran boston sub 2:20 and set the course record in 2014. flanagan won new york in november and mergia had won london a few years ago. kastor had won london, chicago, and an olympic bronze in the marathon. there were a bunch of other podium finishers in majors. the winner gets $150,000 and WMM series points, not to mention the history and prestige associated with boston, so there is no such thing as a boston race without elites. even for the internet that was a really dumb thing to come across.
“I’m ready to take a little step forward, be a little better than I’ve ever been before.” I love that quote.

i need a running coach... This is a great motivational video! Desi was in the zone
What a best. Running a SINGLE 800m in ~2:30 in itself isn't too shabby. Strining 10 like that....
she ran faster in the last laps.....amazing
machine
Very good insight, thanks
What are the 76 & 77s he says before listing the split time?

Number of seconds per (speed) lap
this title had me tripping
My favorite woman distance runner. She's like a little female Pre. Tough.
Essentially Cruise Intervals.

So horses runs even??? No they do not. Pacing means a lot of things. A good start and relax into your run and have a finish. Ask me.
Lol she did not have elite competition that's why she placed first
You're a fool if you really think that.
Did she not have competition when she placed 2nd by 2 seconds there? lol

I'm assuming you're very proud of your first place positions against elite athletes then Gary?
She persevered the cold and rain better and deserved it big time, especially after her near misses in the past. 2020!
