      It’s all about the click bait. A lot more people are entised to click when they hear “marathon champion”, because not many people probably know who des linden is, so they wouldn’t watch. Does suck, but in the end all they want is views.

    • @rayanrahmani9838
      @rayanrahmani9838 4 года назад +38

      they keep the title to a certain amount of words, and “Marathon Champion” is going to get more interest than her name (which a lot laypeople don’t know). You can see her name throughout the video, not everything’s DiSrEsPeCtFuL

    • @rrai-
      @rrai- 3 года назад +5

      in most sports the people watching dont usually play them. like football, basketball, mma, etc. they actually enjoywatching the game more than playing it and so they know the players. running is a rare one where most of the people running dont watch related sports cause they do it just to be healthy and improving themselves, but actually find it quite boring. so of course most people interested in the topic are not gonna know who she is, therefore the title. for example Im glad I watched the video, but if it was just her name I wouldnt have clicked. im just a simple mortal that runs 5km every other day

    I think the thing with minimalist shoes is, padding is useful when running long distance over hard pavement because it's not a natural surface. With training and adaptation, minimalist shoes really shine best when running on dirt/sand/grass in my opinion. Long distance is harsh on the feet on concrete without padding.

    With regards to the hydration question, when I was a runner in high school, we used to have straps that could go around our waterbottles and sort of holster them to our hands while we ran so that we didn't drop them. It only works with Gatorade bottles or ones that require you to squeeze them when you take a sip, so don't go trying it with a CamelBak. That could also be a helpful option for anyone in or getting into distance running.
