The job thing is so relateable. I logically know that 1. Not getting through the interview process doesn't mean you wouldn't be good at the job because they're so specific and have many applicants and 2. If you ARE not right for the job right now that's not a personal failing. But a part of me still can't help but feel as if it's a huge critique of me as a person. I hope you find something you can enjoy soon, your skillset and experience is excellent so fingers crossed - job hunting really is brutal.
Also yes I am also super excited for Bridgerton 😆

My daughter has been job hunting for a very long time around 8-9 months and keeps getting knocked back, one job she tried for she was told she is over qualified for 🤔 she is only 20 years old, she hardly hears back from jobs she applies for. It's so frustrating. I really feel for her. 😟

Being told she’s overqualified is usually a kind tactic to say no thanks. UK specific. Unfortunately we’re at a time where most of the work force is overqualified. Have a look at her CV and interview techniques.

Try magnesium lotion at bed time for you! One of my kids wasn't able to have dairy for a long time. But I started consuming kefir, yogurt and cheese (cultured) and just small amounts. And they adjusted well!

Also recommend the makes milk podcast episode about allergies, there's a lot about the milk ladder. One thing I noticed was babies can go from reactive to not reactive over a short period of time. Hope it works out for you ❤❤

I loved this vlog. Dont be discouraged. It has happened to many of us. Whenever it happened to me. I took it as it wasn't meant for me and I always ended up with a better job. I hope everyone who is currently job hunting get the job that's meant for them. 🙏🏼

Highly recommend lifft pouch sling for clingy days, 5 seconds to get them in, no adjusting or straps,, basically like holding them on the hip but hands free. Am single mum, absolute godsend item x

With the French, could you ask your mum to start speaking to him mostly in French? They learn the best when they're tiny and soon figure out how to deal with two languages.

I’m still TTC but the “do I teach my baby a second language or not” conflict keeps me up every night so you’re not alone! Currently I’m in camp “yes teach them then let them decide later if they keep up with it.” But then the problem becomes which language? I’m studying 4 😂 do I teach them my favorite? The most practical? Their languages that we have cultural ties to?? The struggle.

...yeah...Mumma with an 18.5 month old here. Still hasnt slept through or even had 1 wakup. But we have *fingers crossed* settled into 2 wakups a night which is so so manageable compared to what we have had 🙏🏻🙏🏻 But yeah, still find myself feeling tired, but so much more functional. And then kind of comforting to remember that even with a good sleeper doesnt mean ur not tired lol

Good luck with the French. I’m doing German on duolingo. 300 days now. It’s getting easier.
I’d recommend finding some french beginner RUclips videos to have on in the background while you do your chores. French songs to help with pronunciation. And watch channels with repetitive vocabulary such as cooking, where you follow a lot of what is happening and gradually pick up more and more.
My mum has been doing duolingo french for about six months. I’m very proud of her for trying. It makes a change from when we both used to try and do French at night school and she used to copy my homework…..

I know you miss fostering, it's not the same but I could see you as a childminder. My mom is mexican and my dad is spanish/swiss. Most Canadians are fluent in "cereal box French".

Maybe you already do this, but with pasta sauce, it usually helps to add the cooking water of the pasta in the sauce and let it thicken a bit. The starch of the pasta in the water makes it nice and saucy, without being very wet. Learning this was a game changer for me when making pasta sauces!

Why not ask your Mum to teach you and Oryn French together? Nursery rhymes and picture books would be a great/fun place to start.

Having had 4 sons of my own , I believe Orin is clingy because he’s teething.
Poor sleep patterns, runny nose, Irritability, Flush cheeks and chewing fingers can all be signs of teething.
    He’s beautiful.
I am sure going to miss seeing him if he’s not going to be on camera after he’s a year old 😢. I hope you will be able to still make videos, he will likely want to be in front of the camera also since he’s been used to it up till now. 😅.
You are such a lovely woman and By the way your hair looks fantastic left down! I could totally see you in a classic Bob cut!
All the Best to you both!

Just wondering, do you have any workout routines? My son is about the same age and struggling with finding the time to get some exercise. I’m not a solo parent but do work full time out of the home… when I am home I find myself wanting to spend time with him or rest.

That’s horrifying that he gave you cows milk. Many allergic people have anaphylactic reactions to milk and that could have led to a serious situation. I hope they were wildly apologetic. Wow!
