This was soooo appreciated! I know lots of folks in the comments are mamas already, but this has been especially reassuring for me as a woman looking to move into this chapter of my own life and feeling kind of nervous about it! So reassuring to know that baby life doesn’t have to be frantic!
I remember when my daughter was a baby in the carrier. I was shopping for clothes & she started crying wanting to nurse bobbing her head to find my boob & i then realized i could nurse her in the carrier & be hands free. I felt like i was mom winning that day! You are fully embracing this era. Motherhood looks lovely on you! 🌷✨️
What a beautiful gentle family you are. I love the relaxed vibe you have. It's so easy to get frantic and try to do everything. Your evening routine was lovely to. I know it's different each evening with timings etc but early rest/sleep/self care. So important. Yr hubby is awesome. Good work Dad helping and being awesome
Love the time stamps! I cannot tell you how many of these videos I watch and they don’t say what time it is when they’re doing things. So helpful. Thank you ☺️
I am really enjoying all of the new mom content. I’m in the new mom phase as well (11 weeks already 😭) and I am absolutely loving every second. Even the moments that feel overwhelming. All it takes is to remember just how much I wanted this little baby. It has been so nice to go through pregnancy with you, almost like going through pregnancy with a friend.
I’ve been following you for a couple of years now and I’ve been waiting for this moment! I was so excited to see you two become parents, you are blessed and look very happy in this new chapter! Congratulations! 🥳
I've never had the urge to be a mom but I do think it's such a beautiful gift/experience motherhood! Love seeing it through others eyes and thank you for sharing in such a real way. You are already such an amazing mom, Eliana is so lucky to have you! ❤
I’m an English mum in Australia and I totally understand the heart ache when you say ‘bye’ to mum.. I had a baby girl followed by twin boys and survived. You are amazing.. brave and totally kick-ass getting your hair done, working, etc., so proud of you! Keep it up mumma, your baby girl and hubby are adorable! M
Those newborn days are sooo precious and wonderful, hard, in it’s own ways for everyone, but beautiful. I miss it all the time. Glad to see you’re doing well :)
I love that you’re sharing this type of content. Watching your journey over the years has been such a joy, you’ve come so far! Motherhood looks beautiful on you! I’m so excited for this next chapter for you! Your hair turned out beautifully!
Addicted to this Chanel had to subscribe again- I didn’t know if you were still going to make them after baby. Is crazy seeing your newborn and seeing my now 4 month old how time flies-so totally getting your vibe. Girl you are so lucky about the milk production- I had a hernia develop and had surgery again after birth so I had to hire a nanny for 2 weeks and it wasn’t so great 😢so please make sure you recover slowly.
Every time I watch your videos, I can't help but feel so happy for you. I will have children in the future so to see what it's like to be a new mum brings a sense of reassurance and calm. You continue to be such an inspiration and role model to me, so thank you so much for sharing. Your hair also looks amazing 😍
I'm far from being a mum, but it's so interesting to see your experience and all the insights. Thanks for sharing! And I must say, I learn a lot from your videos about different things in life. So I don't think I'll ever unsubscribe your channel🧡
I currently have a 4 1/2 month old girl. I felt the same way leaving her with my husband alone for the first time for 30 minutes for a target pick up. The more you do it, the easier it gets. It’s definitely the new mom anxiety!
Ahhh, I'm so proud of you!!! As someone who's watched your channel for years now, this video warmed my heart! You're such an amazing mama, and Alex is such an amazing Dad! I'm in my early twenties right now, but really looking forward to the one day of having my own family and a lifestyle that is alike to yours :)
I’m 38 weeks and getting induced in two days, very excited to enter the next phase and meet my little bub. Thank you for sharing your experience, it’s so helpful to get a “preview” of what newborn life might be like, especially one that is so peaceful and positive! There is so much negativity and fear mongering around being a new mother and the postpartum period that it’s hard not to be anxious about it. Videos like this are so helpful to show a realistic but still positive glimpse into it ❤
We originally thought we didn’t need the Snoo, but my sister convinced me of its magic, so we rented it and it was a game changer for us. The extra hours of sleep it gave all of us was priceless and really eased the transition! Also, the peace of mind knowing our baby couldn’t roll themselves over in the middle of the night was so also priceless. Also, if you find that Eliana is not responding as well, you can adjust the settings. I was worried how it would be transitioning from Snoo to the crib at 6 months, and it was not a problem at all. There is a weaning function on the Snoo to get your baby prepared to move to the crib! I have heard some babies don’t like the Snoo, but if Eliana likes it, I definitely recommend it! You’re doing such a great job Carrie! We are here for you 🫶 when you said “you got this” while making the bed, I teared up a little bit, because I really needed to hear that! Xoxo
Lovely video Carrie. I’ve followed you for so long and feel like I know you! It’s beautiful to see you with your baby. Brought back sweet memories of when I was a new Mummy… my son is now 6. Time goes fast. Sending love your way. Thank you for sharing such precious time with us ❤
Love the video and love the mom content, keep it coming! You mentioned when you got your hair done Alex was babysitting. As a gentle suggestion, you might consider saying he is parenting, rather than babysitting. I know early motherhood is hard and as a mom you do so much, as often your body is the one baby depends on for food. But you and Alex are such a great team, and Baby E is fortunate enough to have two present parents. You’re doing a great job. Thanks for sharing!
You are completely right. I am usually mindful of that language and it totally slipped out of my mouth that he was “babysitting” … he’s 100% parenting.
You two are every bit the lovely parents I imagined you’d be 🥰 Really enjoyed this sweet vid. Brought back memories of breast feeding my twins girls 26 years ago ❤️❤️
Love this! I’m a mom and step mom of 6 (3 bio and 3 step). I’m impressed by you getting the laundry done, I swear during those years of constant babies I would just wash and dry the clothes and then pick out what they’d wear from the clean clothes and never actually fold and put them away 😂
I thoroughly love this vlog. I used to watch you vlogs while breastfeeding my little ones, and now that they are tweens...I love being able to look back at the the newborn/infant stage in your vlog! Thank you for the comfy, hygge, real vibes. You are a beautiful family (I always knew you would create such a beautiful home/family life!) Sending love from California!
I’ve been following along your journey! We have been pregnant together with our first babies, although I’m a little behind you. Currently 38 weeks waiting for my baby girls arrival. Thank you for this video, love how realistic and relatable you are 🤍
What an absolutely lovely video! We are trying for a little one currently. So hopefully we will be in this season next year 😊 beautiful video thank you ❤
We used the snoo with our two sons… I’m indifferent about it. Didn’t seem to help too much and it’s just another thing you have to wean them off of. The newborn phase is rough with sleep and there is no miracle product even though they like you to think it is 😅
Loving witnessing your motherhood journey ❤ I’ve watched you for years now and always loved your content however when I had my son a couple of years ago I felt a bit disconnected from your journey, but I’m so excited to see you grow in this new role as parents and how motherhood fits into your life on the homestead!
Your video is sooo different than so many mom videos out there because its actual live narration and not voice overs, it makes it feel real time and as a first time mom too i feel im hanging out w you thank you, my baby is 14 months now Also like how you say 'Oh' like an observer type thing and i relate with the mom needs a lil something to aliven haha
I’m so glad to hear that. I actually have never watched a different creators video and just went with what I felt. I think that helped. I love that you feel like you’re hanging with me! That’s the best. 😊
Definitely enjoying Carrie..you’re a beautiful little family and it’s super nice to watch you both navigate through those early days of being parents..hey and you’re doing super ❤️
Your doing so good Carrie and baby girl is flourishing. When I had my daughters they were by Caesarean section and I had a 3 month maternity leave. I gave both girls at least 1 bottle of formula a day so my husband could feed them if I was delayed for a feeding so they'd have a bottle. Once my breasts were so full that my daughter could not latch on and I was in pain. I didn't know what to do so I called a friend. She told me to to go to the kitchen sink and hang my boobs in and spray them with really warm water till I could manually express enough milk so she could latch. It worked and I was never so happy! I was a nurse and worked 12-13 hour shifts, so after 6 months I transitioned to only bottle feeds. The pediatrician assured me that long enough to for them to benefit from my breast milk. Back then the vast majority of my friends did not breastfeed at all. Now, I see most of daughters friends do breastfeed and nowadays you guys have the best gadgets and tools to make it easy. BTW, your hair looks wonderful and healthy.
You got so much done mama! I remember leaving my baby for the first time at 3.5 months for about 10 minutes and I called my mil once like is she ok. and she was because she was still sleeping hahah
Love this content as well as before you were a Mom... it's such a happy video who wouldn't like it... you're a newborn child looks like a little china doll she is so beautiful and I love hearing her little Coos awww I'm glad that Lanka is not jealous he's handling everything really good thank you so much for sharing everything with all of us... you and Alex are great parents❤❤👶💐
Thank you for sharing. I am loving the pregnancy/ new mum content! Currently 34 weeks pregnant so these videos are really helpful. If you could share what newborn items you found helpful /not helpful that would be great. Also self care tips post partum. Glad to see you are settling into the new routine.
I enjoy this video a lot! They grow so fast! I can be looking at my 2 month baby for hours and do nothing else 😂 btw, the reason she loves that picture is because she only can see black and white right now. They start to see in colors (red is the first one) since month 3. You can search for an evolutive cards for her to watch and play with her ❤
Loved the vlog! My baby is one week old today and sleeping at night is such a struggle. Did elliana sleep in her cot from the beginning? My baby takes ages to fall asleep even after being fed and wakes up as soon as we put him down (even in our bed next to us). The sleep deprivation is so brutal.
We used a snoo with my daughter until she was 6 months old. Transitioning from the snoo to a crib was SO hard. We got rid of ours and we don’t plan on using it for our next baby. It works great but then baby doesn’t sleep well when trying to get them from the snoo to a crib. Maybe your baby will be different but I feel like it made us have to sleep train all over again after 6 months.
I still cook around 5pm it works well with kids :) My youngest two are now 9 and 13 one goes to bed at 8 the other at 8.30 and I get them to have their showers around this time so they can eat read and settle for the evening after this time. It's a great time for dinner :)
Totally get the anxiety when leaving baby ah! The 9 calls 😂😅 but fr, I was so anxious too and found it so hard to relax when leaving my baby (even now 4mo out but has def lessened)
Countdown sell a seasoning called Everything Bagel Spice Natural Seasoning which is good. Not sure if it’s like the Trader Joe’s one but might be worth a try?
routines definitely go out the door once little ones are around :D I still remember days when my little ones would take out what I put away haha patience is an art haha
So question for you, living in NZ. We say Mum instead of Mom the American term. Have you got used to the NZ sayings yet, I think it will be nice to have a mix of the two cultures and sayings
This is all so beautiful and relatable! The first time I got my hair done after baby, I made my husband come hold him in the little waiting room. Actually… the first three times 😅
1 -- when they feed off of that overproduced boob is one of the best feelings in the world!! 2 -- what camera do you use? and do you use a filter to make it less contrasty? I'm obsessed! and lastly, you are doing incredible mama
Proud of you Super Mama! ❤️

This brings back so many happy memories of my early days as a Mum. Such a precious time X

We love the evolution of your content, it mimics life and its realistic! ❤
This reminds me of when my girls were tiny ❤ I also ran hot postpartum and my doctor told me it was hormone related. It’ll get better!
Yes, I’ve heard it’s very normal!

She's adorable. Congratulations
Loved the video Carrie! ❤ Bubs is so sweet!! I’m a dog mum but still really enjoyed the video. By the way your new hair looks lovely! 😊
