Hi, Dr .Berry; I have cystic acne on my chin, but I also get painful swelling and redness. My doctor thinks it's not cystic acne, but eczema.. any thoughts.. Thanks keep up all your great work. Send my best to Niesha love her channel too!! Also horrible pain, swelling on my arms too.
Thank you so much, Dr. Berry. In March 22022, I developed a horrible case of eczema from head to toe. My dermatologist did a biopsy and said that it was chronic eczema and prescribed topical steroids. I did not want to continue steroids indefinitely for a chronic condition. I found this video, immediately started a carnivore diet and have become almost free from eczema for 5 months! I love that as a doctor, you are unafraid of thinking outside the box of the typical medical world!
My trigger is vegetable oils including Olive Oil. I know if I get excema, it will heal on its own, but takes about two weeks to heal. Even if I do breakout, I leave it alone knowing it will heal in two weeks even if it itches like crazy. Unless I am in my death bed, I will not take Prednisone.
I had eczema for about 40 years until I figured out that I am allergic to oranges. I stopped drinking orange juice and eating oranges and my eczema went away. I am now 73 still without eczema.
One must question was it the oranges, or was it the sprays they spray the orange trees with to control cankers, mildew and other grove-destroying organisms? Here in Florida miles of orange groves were eaten up with a citrus disease that took out millions of trees. They had to burn them. Now Florida grows condos on that land.
What I find most amazing is how few people understand that ALL carbs break down into SUGAR. Even when smart people know this, they still cling to the idea that you need carbs to live and that fat is bad. This is called being programmed. Also known as brain-washing. Sure, if you're a professional athlete, you're prolly gonna need some carbs to fuel you. But in these modern times when you don't have to exert energy to survive, I lost 30-35 lbs trying to be keto. Sadly, I cheat nowadays, but my body recovered enough to handle it. At least for now. I really should stop cheating because little stuff like eczema mostly went away too. Big stuff like pre-diabetes is gone as well.
Thank you! You my have helped us fix up our sons chronic issues. It all makes sense when we look at his diet and the more healthier we go with diet the worse it has got. He started to eats lots of avocados - nuts- and more high salicylate rich food and it's all over his body now. It's heart breaking. I feel this is a great place to start. Thanks again!
I had eczema since age 2 and have never found a way to control it. After cutting out alcohol, sugar, and carbs last February, my eczema cleared up completely. I’m not sure what specifically within the keto style diet did the trick, but I intend to continue this, as I have noticed many more benefits from a sugar and alcohol free lifestyle.
"My people perish for lack of knowledge". I had no idea for decades what I was experiencing was diet-related eczema on my scalp and so I treated it with dandruff shampoo. In my 50's when it began appearing in my mustache and beard is when I understood what I had was eczema. I was using eczema cremes over the counter and prescription till I found out that GLUTEN was the main culprit. Once eliminating wheat products the eczema would go away. If I try to eat wheat products again the eczema returns. I'm sure there can be other things that trigger eczema in the body, but gluten seems to be the main culprit for me. Eliminating gluten also cleared up all the osteoarthritis I was experiencing that would cause painful fare-ups in my lower back that would have me figuring out how to get out of bed in the mornings and on a walker till the fare-up faded.
I've had eczema for over 15yrs until I was hospitalized with antibiotic iv's , and now I no longer have eczema skin disorders , am so happy , thank u BEAUMONT HOSPITAL
Dr. Berry, I appreciate you. You have helped me on my keto journey immensely and that alone made me so grateful but recently I developed eczema and man oh man what a horrible, terrible, existence. I did the steroid dance for 3 months and endured all of the rebound effects- absolute nightmares. You said, use a high quality coconut oil. I happened to have some organic MCT oil that I had not been using so I tried moisturizing with it and let me tell you……my symptoms have reduced approximately 99%. I am almost symptom free! Dear God, I cannot explain how liberating this is!! Thank you, thank you, thank youuuuu!!!!!!
Keto is the only thing that has kept my eczema away since I was 9. Just before I started keto, I was doing UVB light therapy twice a week. No more dry, cracked, painfully blistered hands and feet. No more steroids, no more creams, ointments, prescription pills. Such a relief!
I've suffered with eczema regularly since I've been 19 years old, I'm 54 now. 🥺 When I maintain my low carb/keto diet, it greatly improves. There are a few foods on your list that I still eat. Excellent information Dr. Berry, thank you for sharing. It really is a quality of life issue.
Oh wow!! My eczema also started when I was 19...4 months after the birth of my first child. For years I thought it was hormonal or something. Lol. I'm 52 now. What a quinkydink..huh? Also been in ketosis 10 months and down 80 lbs 🙃 Glad you found relief from yours.
@@ladeene06 Congrats on your success! I find these RUclips videos of Dr Berry and Neisha to be very helpful! Nobody in my circle is eating this way, so I need my keto family. 😊
Monica Rose first of all I want to say congratulations on your accomplishment through the Keto Diet and you look absolutely certainly completely definitely entirely fully genuinely highly immensely really sincerely strongly thoroughly totally unconditionally unreservedly utterly wholeheartedly excellent exquisite extraordinary:)! May god bless and protect you now and always:)!
I am on my fifth month of Carnivore (occasional Ketovore). After just three months of this way of eating my eczema just... disappeared. For the first time since 2006 I don't have any "bubbling skin" anywhere on my body. This is amazing.
@@bogaczbogacz it's now my ninth month. I've lost 44 pounds of weight, got rid of sleep apnea, heartburn and horrible menstrual pains. I still can't believe it.
I got itchy stingy inner elbows at age 53 for the 1st time, decided to quit eggs as they are the first to go on any Elimination diet (already dairy and gluten free for years) Eczema itch and sting STOPPED in 3 days I was pretty ketovore with lots scallops, turkey, salmon, cod, shrimp, and eggs and some above ground veg, but not a lot Hope it helps
I started keto in support of my wife’s keto venture. Within two weeks, my dermatitis and reflux were gone. Mind blown. It’s been over a year now and it still works. They come back immediately after I give into some carbs.
Here I was about to buy some peanut butter cookies at food city & knowing I was gonna break my diet. I get in line and there's Dr. Berry on the cover of women's world magazine. I said damn it! I felt the guilt and took them back.
My eczema is stress related. Started when I had a high stress job. Left that job and my eczema went away and stayed gone for about 4 years. The last few weeks I’m under high stress again. So I’m going to try this that you are talking about. Thank you.
You are the first comment Here that has realized that STRESS Is a Major cause! Congratulations! I am thinking that it also affects hormones. Had as a kid and it disappeared. Decades later the body changes again and under stress from everything going on in world--got it on hands now. It appeared last August and We had severe drought and was also wondering if ragweed pollen set it off along with stress. Maybe adrenal exhaustion also.
I had a light case of eczema on the back of my arms. Since I have been doing Keto the eczema, skin tags and the pain in my wrists have all gone away. Almost like what Doc is telling us actually works :-)
My childhood excema stopped when I moved out from home and dropped milk as my main drink for all occasions! No issues ever since and no issues with having the occasional milk, which is deffo less than the 1l a day I used to drink straight from the fridge. I weaned myself off far too late!
I’ve had eczema for over a decade, ever since my first pregnancy. Ive been vegan, whole thirty, paleo- zero change. I’ve been keto for the past five years, zero change in eczema. I’ve tried every diet imaginable for inflammation, energy and skin issues. After 3 weeks carnivore, my eczema cleared completely. When I am strict to the carnivore diet, I sleep through the night, acne is gone, my mind is clear and my energy is finally “normal” for someone my age. The only time my eczema comes back is when I go off diet for a couple of days and it’s almost immediate.
Certainly theres a way to get back to a balanced diet after you’ve healed.. i am also looking into carnivore but cant see myself eating that way forever. I wonder if this has something to do w leaky gut
@@Antonfootball96 Many if not most can’t see themselves on a carnivore diet forever that I think, is bcuz they’ve been on carbs their whole life. It takes time to grow into. Like with me, I started out keto for a couple of years but noticed that keto became less effective and I was still battling the bulge, my skin problem, and asthma. So I crossed over to carnivore and couldn’t stick with it at first. But I didn’t give up on account of the benefits of carnivore, that no other diet can compare to, and just did the best I could deviating to keto. And over time I became more and more carnivore. Where now, I can say with all certainty that I am on carnivore for the rest of my life.
My eczema is 100% gone since 2021 after giving up simple carbs, junk food, refined products. I still ate/eat veggies, fruits, and meat but not conventional. This year I gave up dairy. I can't believe I don't have even one ITCH after years of battling. Anyway, I hope that brings hope to some people. P.s. I LOVE the new foods and meals that I eat.
@@Gulya181 I'm not keto but I am low carb. Breakfast is coffee/cream, then soup with a fruit smoothie. Soup is cruciferous veggies (1/2 to 1 cup) with home made bone broth - no preservatives - and coconut oil and an EGG (the healthy kind). Fruit smoothie is 1/2 cup berries/pomegranates with water and almond butter - that's it. If you are not Keto then add a date - delicious! No sugar needed. Lunch: I have a gigantic SALAD that follows the Dr. Fuhrman diet. This is the only meal where I avoid meat - all other meals I enjoy animal products. The lunch salad is full of Dark Leafy Greens, multi-colored veggies, Herbs, Onions, Garlic, Seeds, Nuts, Beans (about 1/2 cup, but buy BPA free and Preservative free if canned), Avocado OR Olive Oil (make sure olive and coconut oil is raw, and First-Cold Pressed otherwise it's refined). ACV or Lemon squeeze is added to the Salad, and Sea Salt. Supper: I cook meat on the George Foreman Grill on parchment paper. Mostly Chicken Breast but twice a week I have beef. I love ground beef or steak. Then I cook a veggie in the juice of the meat after. I ALWAYS finish with NICE-CREAM. I just blend 1/2 cup frozen fruit with water/almond butter. Check out recipes on the web like Mango Coconut Nice Cream, or Chocolate Cherry Nice Cream. My gosh it's delicious. Your Cacao should not be refined or have preservatives - get raw Cacao NOT Cocoa. I hope this helps ... of course I have changed it up over the years but for now this is what works. Also, I know Fruit is not for KETO people but I have yet to take the plunge into the Keto world ... someday I will as I know it's a great way of eating for many. Also, I listen to Ken Berry, Dr. Berg and others on youtube all the time. They always inspire me, and they keep me motivated. Wishing you all the best Gulya :)
Before my wife and I saw the light and started doing Keto the right way, PHD, I found one of your videos regarding eczema. This was about 2 years ago. In that video you mentioned cutting out bread, grains, and nightshades. My wife finally got relief from the continuous burning, itching, and cuts on her hands! Sometimes it flares up a lil, but when it does, she knows how to take care of it. She's had this since our son was born, for about 11 years. NOTHING gave her relief. She tried aloes, lotions, creams. Only Eucerin, thick lotion, gave her slight comfort. Thanks Dr. Berry for all you continued help and insights into having a healthy lifestyle!!
This is EXACTLY what I have! I am 58. It started getting worse since 2017.....just my hands. The middle finger on both hands swells, then cracks and bleeds like paper cuts. Now it's on the inside of my whole right hand. No product gives relief....it's unbearable. I'm losing the use of my hands slowly. I work on cars, home remodel projects etc..... I'm feeling helpless and hopeless now.
DIdn't have eczema until I began drinking coffee. Took me over 2 decades to corolade this due to the time I began drinking coffee. This was the only change in my diet.
Fructose would increase my eczema and create issues with candida overgrowth. I had horrible eczema and frequent fungal infections due primarily to my steady diet of fruit (and smoothies). I added to my misery by drinking a lot of red wine. The past 4 years has been eczema and candida free. Solution: keto. Eczema was gone in 1 month and never returned. This, after 40 years of suffering with it. I suspect a deficiency in k2/d3 also contributed to my skin problems, but I can't be certain. I only say this because I began supplementing wit d3/k2 at the same time as I began keto.
I gave up dairy a year ago, and 30 years of eczema went away and had not come back. However, I have other symptoms that could be tied to a salicylate sensitivity, so it's good to see the video. UPDATE ONE YEAR LATER: After two solid years of keto, I can now eat dairy without any overt response. Dr. Berry, or maybe it was Dr. Cywes, said that the sensitivity to dairy could disappear after a course of keto eating. That seems to have happened to me.
@@LukeProv Within a few days I noticed the itching was gone, hoarseness in my voice was gone, and I could eat more foods without getting acid reflux from them, digestion was better. Now it's been over 2 years since I gave up dairy. Eczema has never returned.
I just found out I'm allergic to wheat from an allergy test. I had been eating it for years. 100% whole wheat bread think it was healthy, but every afternoon aftet lunch, my stomach would hurt.
As long as I can remember I've always suffered from eczema. I am almost a week into eating a carnivore lifestyle now and have eliminated carbs and sugars. I can honestly say I already have noticed an improvement behind the knees and one Cafe. I'm so happy that I found out about this through Makayla Petterson when Dr Ken Berry was on the show. This has lead me to a whole new lifestyle.

Try fish oil. Had eczema all my life...almost died from it as an infant. My eczema disappeared after 6 weeks. Amazing! I take fish oil now almost every day. 💖
Well...I've been in ketosis since Thanksgiving day of 2019. 10 months now. I've lost 80 lbs.😄 I'm one of those people whose eczema is horrific! I'm not even exaggerating! Over the years its spread from just my hands to everywhere that doesn't get covered in the hottest months. I'd hoped clean keto would give me some relief but it didn't. I WILL eliminate these items on the list. I'm scared to be hopeful...but I've nothing to lose. I'll certainly give you credit if it helps! Pray for me and thanks for sharing this knowledge!🙏🤞❤
My son has severe eczema. Had. We stopped all medications. He has been carnivore for 5 months and is close to being completely healed. All grains and dairy were big triggers for him.
OMG! Thank you so so sooooo much Dr. Berry for this video! I currently had eczema break out terrible on my eyelids:( I DONT GET ECZEMA much less have food allergies...which led me on a long and winding road to you and this video about salicylate over consumption..i.e. turmeric and other offenders. I promptly stopped taking said offenders and started N-acetylcysteine and noticed an immediate improvement!-thank you!
I don't know if I had eczema but I used to have extremely dried hands on top, scaly, cracked, extremely dark spots on them, for many decades. I had tried everything then I tried a little coconut oil and it cured it for many months now. It restored them back to new like nothing ever happened.
Hi Doc, I had that situation with the eczema, and I fixed with beef liver, cooked with salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, olive oil, and real butter, the reaction wss very fast, the skin started to clear, the next day was like if I never had that problem, now I eat beef liver at least once a week, by the way, thanks for all the information you provide, it has changed my life for good, I'm carnivore, I have lost a lot of fat, I feel great! now I exercise everyday, so, again, Thanks Doc!!
@@florrie8767 Olive oil mixed with butter, makes the beef liver taste delicious, it didn't affect me negatively, it cured my eczema, I recommend it, if olive oil affects you negatively, you can cook it with bacon grease and butter, there are many delicious options, cheers! :)

I developed eczema in 2000 and after many doctors with no results, I realized one thing I changed in my diet that correlated to the outbreak. I began drinking coffee. This was the only thing I changed and developed eczema very soon aferwards.
Perhaps it was the spray used on the coffee crops. Find an imported coffee from Europe and see if it helps. South America, Mexico and some other places use chemicals on their crops that even the U.S. has banned.
Dr. Berry! I always send your videos to people struggling with various ailments to introduce them to carnivore! Today was no different! Hoping they take your advice and run with it! You are the best! 🔥
Mine really improved after I started Omega 3 supplements. I have shellfish allergies, so I take vegan Omega 3 just to be on the safe side. It took about a month to notice an improvement. Within 3 months, eczema is 99% gone. I took one capsule twice day. I also don't eat gluten or drink milk (more allergies).
I had severe eczema on my right arm to the point it was taking over my arm. Dr. B said something about cheese and so I cut dairy out. Wow. What a difference. Then just going keto and finally ketovore made huge difference as I cut out all salicylates in my diet. Had no idea. Tx for sharing.
Amen! I suffered terribly for years. Took all the steroids, lotions and potions. Saw lots of specialist. Went fruit, veggie, eat six times a day "healthy" route and eczema got so bad I wanted to skin myself. It was almost unbearable and I was exhausted. Miraculously, I found you and Dr. Boz. Went keto. Eczema is gone! So happy 😊 thank you for what you do!
Thing is, I’m vegetarian for the animal ethics, so eating meat would be abhorrent to me, even though eczema is ruining my life - I feel like a lizard at the moment, shedding skin all over the place 😩
@@eileenc477 He has a video where he mentioned something called “Therapeutic Meat” or something like that. I think it’s in his “Iron Deficiency Anemia” video where he talks about people who don’t eat meat for religious or ethical reasons. I think you should check that out :)
@@eileenc477 By the way, I completely understand how you feel. As someone who has chronic eczema since birth, it’s really no fun. I’m thinking of going keto. So tired of all the flare ups, flakiness, not being able to shower comfortably and trying all kinds of remedies.
My eczema went away 100% after I gave up dairy and processed food. I had already given up meat when I was 18 (I’m 45 now). I found an amazing doc that goes by Goodbye Lupus!! It was mainly after trying her green smoothie that I went pain free after 20 yrs for my RA pain. My brows started growing back too cuz I had had gotten alopecia. I’m eczema free since 2020!!!!!
I've had eczema for more than 2 years now. In such time, I've been constantly using coconut oil in keeping my skin moist. But apart from the damaged skin, the real problem with eczema, at least for me, is its itchiness. Recently, I've switched to castor oil, and surprisingly, it addressed both the dryness and the itch. I've been relatively itch-free for a few days now because of it.
Coconut oil clogs your pores and dries out your skin try almond oil all natural and try cbd balm make sure theres no coconut oil or additives in the cbd balm its basically a cure well for me anyways and most people who use cbd for inflammation
Same castor oil has worked for me too. I think soybean is what triggered my eczema initially. Had blisters appear the first time I tried home-made soymilk. I take L arginine and it has kept the itch under control as well. I initially took it for excercise endurance but now I keep taking it because I feel like this is the only cure for reducing the intensity and frequency of the flares.
Dr. Berry I just wanted to say "Thank you!" I can't say it enough. I really thought that my life of obesity, itchy skin, dull skin, brain fog, and swollen ankles was going be part of the remainder of my life, and that if I was lucky to beat most of these issues, I'd more than likely be starving myself. Now I don't just sleep, I rest. My performance at work has definitely improved. No swollen ankles, sometimes I forget to put on deodorant. Me forget deodorant! Let me have tried that last year! You would've thrown holy water or rocks at me. 😂😂🤣 Thank you so much!
I'm suffering eczema and the one thing i noticed is that it gets worse when i eat more sugar and is stressed. Our diet and mental well-being plays a very big role in controlling eczema. So my advice is to look what you're putting in to your body.
My eczema was gone for a decade. Then I let my dad get food and cook for me and the kids while we was on an extended visit. Lots of dairy, fast food, and sugar (me not the kids). My eczema came back so fast, I was so mad!

Wow this is so me, typing this with gloves on, hands painfully inflamed and covered in rashes, hands unrecognizable, then this itch ( I can't help but scratch) despite the pain, inflammation, creams and ointments 😢....Very inspirational thankyou for sharing xoxo
uuuuh guy you forgot to put coffee/tea, avocado, broccoli and cauliflower on your list there. These are all very habitually used (coffee/tea) or are recommended foods for these conditions! I think those should most definitely be on there!!!! I've been using L-glutamine with slippery elm (helps with leaky gut apparently) as well as keto and have had some improvement for sure. I'm gonna try this too and see if it helps. Thanks for the vid man
My son had eczema since childhood, asthma too. He also had gut problems. I finally made the connection when he was a teen and had him eat yogurt and his skin cleared up.
All of that for years, since childhood. Countless doctor appointments with steroids, creams and ointments. The stress and anxiety from this condition is rarely recognized or acknowledge. When I started with Keto I saw a major improvement (gone) with this condition. I suffered an eye condition related to dermatitis/allergy that has gone away! Friends who knew me from years ago and see me know are amazed - I don't hide my hands anymore!
Plantains brought the flare ups right down for my 3 yr old’s severe eczema. Even watermelons helped him a lot. We had to take him off all the allergens in the beginning. We were told by his homeo doc to reintroduce them slowly once the eczema is under control. She asked us to try introducing eggs indirectly in the form of a cake or something like that. Direct eggs flared him up immediately very severely with swelling everywhere, redness and intense itching. I immediately made a porridge with the plantain and gave him. It all calmed down within minutes. But indirectly, the egg does not flare him up. Phew! So I make sure to make the cake with over ripe plantains which are plenty sweet and very little jaggery (no sugar). I feel the plantains offset the effect of the eggs very well too. So now I’ve started adding 2 eggs rather than just one successfully :)
Very odd. What about Bananas? I avoided Fruits and Bananas for a while and when I was visiting my mom, I ate a banana and it made my scalp itch for couple hours.

@@elllortv9983 if you went straight into carnivore, I wonder if it had to do with oxalate dumping or other detoxing. I’m just curious what do you eat? My newly found eczema is so bad😢😢. Although I have been diagnosed with nummular eczema four years ago and now it’s something else.
I had spots and dry skin around face, hair. Recently decided to cut out cheese which I loved and ate all my life. After a month, my skin is so much better. No dry skin and even spots on my back have gone. That's just removing cheese, nothing else. Still eat veg.
Dr Berry, I can’t seem to find your other video from Eczema? Salysilate sensitivity doesn’t seem to be the issue for my husband since he hasn’t had these foods for quite a while and had “the worst outbreak “ they’ve ever seen!😢 Dermo put him on prednisone but after he heals would really like to work on root cause and avoid in the future. I fear that he might be unwilling to give up cheese if dairy is a culprit! Thanks so much for all you do! ❤️It’s really frustrating when you trust a Doc on utube more than any doctor you”ve ever seen in person! 😫
I’ve had eczema since I was born. I can remember being 4 years old and crying at night because of how bad it itched. Right now my eczema is still bad and I’m 24. I will be looking into this. 🙏🏼
Sierra, don't know if it will help you, but was just speaking to a naturopath about chronic eczema. He said use LED green light therapy. My search is just beginning to find the equipment. He emphasized to not use the type of thing where filters are involved. It has to be a pure green LED bulb in order to be effective. He claims he has seen success healing eczema with this light therapy.

I found my sweet spot between keto & carnivore for my rosacea. I know the healing is slow on that but I have seen great improvements. I need to clean up my spices. I use black pepper and smoked chipolte jalepeno everyday. Cabbage and iceberg are my only veg x7 mo. I still use organic peanut butter and almond milk. Oddly bacon seems to flare inflammation symptoms and it didnt for months. Its expensive anyway and i need the budget for beef. Beef makes me feel the best. I gave up on chicken. I am concerned for dogs. We frequent a dog park with our great danes and have many conversations with others. Of course obesity is a problem with many dogs (corn, wheat, soy) but so many are having skin issues now than say 15yrs ago. Dog food is crap! Even the expensive stuff. I give mine as much tube ground beef and eggs I can. Our 80/20 10lb tube beef is 2.50/lb in the Tulsa area. 60 eggs is 3-$4 Keep going everyone. Do the best you can to prevent disease.
I accidentally cured my eczema with an anti inflammatory diet. I watched a video by flavcity and after 1 month all my itchy bumps left. I agree with you that diet makes a difference. I also suffered from bv and that has stopped. With experimenting with my diet, I have found sugar is the biggest culprit. Including sucralose. Stevia does not effect me.I hope this information can help suffers out there. If you need my input in your study I can answer any questions that will help.
@@jojob2964 Thank you! So far I’ve found that CeraVe baby cream and castor oil give me decent relief. :) I am thinking of trying a meat and fruit diet and see if that cures my eczema.

LostWoods you can’t compare broccoli or cauliflower to a Burger’ . A calorie is not a calorie . If we look at what vegetable oils do to the body just to name one . Carbohydrates cause inflammation . Dr Berry, you have helped my eczema so much!!! But I still suffer with about 10% of what I used to have. I had many miscarriages a few years back. All the tests never showed anything wrong. I got pregnant again and my OB threw up his hands and put me on aspirin as a last ditch effort to save my baby...and my baby survived. He told me that I would have to stay on Aspirin for life. I do feel like I feel better. But what do I do? Keep taking the aspirin
Might be worth seeing a haematologist for advice since it’s been so long. They might have put you on it for a reason, eg suspected anti phospholipid syndrome. Repeat all the blood tests.
Just a few days ago I had a flare up and was trying to identify what could be the trigger, I guess I have something else to research and test. I just saw the list, Please don't take my precious olives and blueberrys away, I'm running out of things to eat, if I keep at this I'm going to end up a carnivore.

I’m 1.5 mths into carnivore diet now to further improve my health.
My 4 year olds eczema cleared up after I took him off drinking milk(still has cheese and yogurt) and grains. I've been doing keto/ more carnivore since May and I've lost 30lbs and feel so much better. I have hashimoto's and no longer have the pain and other symptoms(neisha's video could have been mine). My whole family pretty much eats keto(the teenagers mostly just at home) and we all feel so much better. Thank you Dr. Berry! You have truly improved my quality of life 1000%!
I believe my 3 year old kid can't eat anything with vitamin C: tomatoes, berries, citrus fruits, kechup, grapes. But alergollogist checked and she told that we are not alergic to anything. Will look into salicylates, thank you. The list of foods with high salicylates seems similar to our inflamatory list.
This guy is a legend. I tried a bunch of different creams and moisturisers etc and nothing cleared my eczema. Did a food tolerance hair test and it flagged up that Dairy and Tomatoes are bad tolerance for me. I cut both out of my diet and now my eczema has decreased by like 90%. The guy is right, it's an issue with your gut health, not your skin. I thought Tomatoes were really good for you but they don't agree with me!
I tried keto and saw an improvement but noticed that certain foods were triggering my flare ups. I switched to the lectin free diet and that has helped me the most.
I have atopic dermatitis since I was little. I’m 21. Mine just disappeared after months I stopped using steroid ointment. Didn’t change anything much in the diet. Sun in the summer helped a lot ❤️ I still get a bit of itch after too warm showers but it’s nothing as it was before. I don’t get flare ups. Now I just hope it won’t get back once the cold seasons start.
Bro i'm also 21 years old , & has atopic dermatitis since childhood , i am not able to keep my skin moist , if i don't use steroid ointment , so what did u applied to keep your skin moist , when u stopped applying ointment on skin
I was eating Sara Lee wheat bread for years. I was on vacation and noticed my eczema had completely cleared up. I started eating other bread no problem. Most have contained this ingredient.
I actually did stop eating almost everything on that list above. I do love cayenne, hot peppers or the flakes/seeds to flavor things but don't eat often. I do eat blueberries and have been sporadically eating them lately instead of daily. I have improved since reducing or stopping a couple of things recently and using antifungal cream.
I actually follow a semi LOW FODMAP diet. It helped me a lot for a few weeks. Though, I love bread too much so I ate bread again. I also can't give up fruit shakes. What should I do? I also don't know if I have an egg sensitivity. I love eggs too much. My mom had diabetes and she passed away a few yrs ago so I have to really be careful about what I put in my body and where I go.
In reference to the salicylate list, white vinegar is made from corn and therefore not paleo, and not keto either I think. It is possible to heal a salicylate intolerance as one heals their gut and to be able to reintroduce foods, same for all food sensitivities. I think that sunflower seed butter flared my eczema up severely. Too bad because it was a great snack and I really enjoyed it. Of course, clearing up eczema is more important, as you all know what a struggle it is!
I finally got rid of it with one layer of cream with acide hyaluronique and one layer of organic coconut oil . Applied to the skin. Plus one week of MMS detox.
Since I've changed to a ketovore type diet (3 months) my eczema has gotten about 40% better. Starting to get a really light reddish color but, it's still dry. With the upcoming cold months, is when my eczema usually gets really bad, hopefully, it won't this time around.
I had childhood eczema, grew out of it (I guess), but then got it on an eye lid. When I had my first son, we had a wonderful summer so we spent a lot of time at the local beach. The eczema went away (sunshine!) and stayed away for 20 years. This year, it's back - there is construction work going on behind my backyard, they demolished houses since early Spring, and because of the dust and noise, I didn't spend much time outside this year. Now I'm paying for it, the eczema is back and worse than ever. Daily spraying (weather modification/ chemtrails) isn't helping one bit, either. I don't want to take D3 pills, because they're basically a low dose Prednisone. I'll try coconut oil or get castor oil and hope for an early, warm spring next year. Already carnivore since the end of April this year.
Holy cow, this video might just be the answer to all the problems I'm having that are causing me to lose my mind I did not know any of the info in this video iv been to 3 different doctors that never mentioned this as a possible reason for my problems the list of symptoms is as if I wrote what my problems are I love and eat all these foods and do regularly and I have severe Exama on my face just like my brothers and father this must be what is causing my eye watering problem that is causing me untold amounts of stress I am going to try this I hope it works cuz im going out of my mind !
I have been animal based for a month plus now and my eczema is less inflamed but definately not gone. Should I do liver, beef, tallow, mussels and honey only for a while? I don't want to go keto, not enough energy for hard physical labor which is my job.
I've done a carnivore diet as an elimination diet and I'm currently testing foods. I recently tested tea which is supposedly very high in salicylates and my eczema or rhinitis got no worse, except perhaps for slightly greater itchiness when having certain teas. Eczema is a complex condition with many causes so salicylates is not the answer for everyone. I seem to have a bigger problem with histamine. I tried adding fish back into my diet and my eczema was awful. Interestingly I do appear to have issues with peppermint so maybe there are different types of salicylates which cause varying problems from different foods?

Hi Doc. My niece has a sebaceous nevus that keeps growing and returned after surgery. She also has eczema that comes with it. Is there a link?
What can you do for a baby with eczema? There is nothing to change for the diet they only take formula and breast milk
Cutting out gluten in your diet will clear your condition. It's that simple.

40 years?! Oh my dear, that's alot of suffering! So glad you're better now.
I'm happy for your health success.

But in these modern times when you don't have to exert energy to survive,
I lost 30-35 lbs trying to be keto.
I've had eczema for over 15yrs until I was hospitalized with antibiotic iv's , and now I no longer have eczema skin disorders , am so happy , thank u BEAUMONT HOSPITAL
how did they help you?
Such a relief!
did the uvb help as well?
Does it still help? Did it come back? How long can you do it before it get dangerous? Thanks a lot!

My eczema is stress related. Started when I had a high stress job. Left that job and my eczema went away and stayed gone for about 4 years. The last few weeks I’m under high stress again. So I’m going to try this that you are talking about. Thank you.
Update?
You are the first comment Here that has realized that STRESS Is a Major cause! Congratulations!
I am thinking that it also affects hormones. Had as a kid and it disappeared. Decades later the body changes again and under stress from everything going on in world--got it on hands now. It appeared last August and We had severe drought and was also wondering if ragweed pollen set it off along with stress. Maybe adrenal exhaustion also.
A lack of vitamin B1 will cause stress and irratation. Drink lemon balm tea because it calms you done from stress.
The same for me, stress is definitely the cause of my eczema
@@deborahrabon3365 Same here my ezcema is mainly stress related plus depending if ive been eating like crap.
Thanks for sharing. I'm battling this same thing. 💕 Love to all here who share

How long did it take to see results? Thanks
@@Christandnature oh goodness, I can't quite remember but perhaps a month or so? My body started to feel the difference within two weeks.
Can you share what your diet please?

Hey, so a jerk diet helped her? I constantly have itching and burning. Still not sure what trickers it.. feel like I tried it all and more. Thanks.

DIdn't have eczema until I began drinking coffee. Took me over 2 decades to corolade this due to the time I began drinking coffee. This was the only change in my diet.
I did carnivore for 3 months, no eczema, added back berries, olives, thyme, pickles....BAM eczema really bad on my face! Here I thought it was dairy!
How long after giving up dairy did your symptoms go away??

Same here. I find Castor oil before bed is a must.
Coconut oil clogs your pores and dries out your skin try almond oil all natural and try cbd balm make sure theres no coconut oil or additives in the cbd balm its basically a cure well for me anyways and most people who use cbd for inflammation
@@shanecorr1694 Thanks for the suggestion. But I am not sure whether CBD-based topical product is legal where I am at, though.
How u going with your skin to this day bro ?
Thank you so much!
My eczema came back so fast, I was so mad!

uuuuh guy you forgot to put coffee/tea, avocado, broccoli and cauliflower on your list there.
Friends who knew me from years ago and see me know are amazed - I don't hide my hands anymore!
was it Granuloma Annulare or eczema
Are you still good?
Thiamine defieciency can also contribute to skin problems.

In reference to the salicylate list, white vinegar is made from corn and therefore not paleo, and not keto either I think.
