Im so glad youure healed. I cut my flexor tendon really bad and im working on getting strength back and making new muscles. Thank you so much for these wonderful videos .and thanks to your wife for being so patient. And loving. My daughter is my inspiration and keeps me going when i say im retiring from songwriting
Thanks, but I'm not healed. I'm on the right track, but I have a long way to go. Still hurts like heck, but the range of motion gets a little better every day.
It’s funny that you mentioned the band America. When you said it sounded like a lot of guitars, including one with open tuning, all playing basically the same chords with different voicings-I thought of America.
Greetings from se Michigan. You are an amazing person and player. With all the subs from the PT channel and the James James channel , they could fill the big house twice. I’m a 64 year old guitarist who has found my go to guy. Thank you for sharing your amazing talent. Btw your guitars are all too notch
Seeing you’re reaction to even a few months of being out of guitar makes me wonder about how much I put into this instrument (or anything for that matter). I’m only 24 and have problems with arthritis and tendonitis (specifically De Quervains, small hands screwed me on barre chords) and I would be crushed if I get older and can’t play, I already have quite a bit of pain when I’m not playing and it’s a bit soul crushing. Maybe I’ve relied on it too much of a crutch, then I see how other people deal with life and think “maybe it’s not such a bad thing to be so invested in an instrument instead of alcohol or drugs or whatever.” Idk, it’s a question that’s stuck with me from a pretty young age, what happens when you dedicate so much of your time and interest to a passion only to be rendered unable to engage in it because of some external factor? Anyways, love ya James. Thanks for putting so much time into something beautiful, your videos have made a significant difference in my life.
it's always interesting when you strip songs down and see what turns up. Buddy Holly didn't occur to me before but it is exactly Buddy. And man!! I love that J-45!!
Buddy for sure. Your version has elements of Get Back, U2- Bad, Stones'- Winter. strumming = Pinball W. and Me And Julio. Hey, your past the dusty end. Ü ♫
If you’re struggling to get the strumming pattern nailed like myself ,I recommend playing along with the one on his other channel. ruclips.net/video/gyV8ENJv8xc/видео.html
Welcome back! Enjoyed the Q & A's - even inspired me to be a bit charitable - the Food Bank of the Rockies thanks you! Best to you & your lovely assistant!
I'm glad you have your second hand back.
good to have you back, James!
this guy is magical with a guitar
Very true
Your last name is *magical*!

Welcome back!
Always thought maybe there was a mando or Nashville tuned guitar in there. Maybe even a zither.
Good to see you playing again. The J 45 sounds sweet!
Thank U sooo much,,,,appreciate U..
Qué bueno que regresaste J.J.!!!.....espero q estés recuperado y tu hombro ok!!....welcome back!!!
What is a guitar "voicing" and how does that differ from tuning? As always, love the channel, and thanks!
There are different ways to play an A chord, for example. Each one is a different voicing of that chord.
Such simple chords turned into something sublime! Blown away by this!!
Maybe this would sound good on a 12 string
LB is hitting the harmonics too.
I thought you were gonna do BACK IN BLACK or maybe BAck in the SADDLE.....ahaghahahahahah....either way ...Good to see you back !!
How's the shoulder man?
Still hurts like heck -- especially at night -- but that's going to take time to go away.
One of my davs, Thanks. Godspeed on heeling my friend
Davs that is
Favs lol
3:38 lovely sound
Nice job as always my man...and hey, I’m from Md...home of PRS...just saying!!!!
God bless James is back ;-)
Soulman Brother .
And hey ...let The train roling ;)
is it a "bar E " ?
My gawd, it’s freakin’ Peggy Sue. And Buddy is the best.
Welcome back!
It always sounded to me like a 'regularly' tuned guitar and one with nashville tuning.
Now you need a Southern Jumbo! By the way there’s some raw version of this out there where John McVie goes nuts on the bass, it’s fantastic.
Thanks again, bro James... for all you do!!
Wow, all better....and I luves that song!♡♡♡
So happy you’re feeling better! Thanks for the lesson 💙💙👏
Welcome back. Glad your shoulder is doing well!
