I actually preferd the 35 to the 45. Didn't buy it though. Wound up buying a Breedlove Oregon Series. So glad your on the mend James! The shoulder post surgery stretching sucks! Keep at it! Gods speed!
Glad your on the mend bud, didnt know you were a terp! My mom and dad both were alums. Guess it's just another reason to like you and thanks for all the lessons and laughter.
i tried with tuning 6th string down to D, (makes the D pop with a bass note), bar the 4-5-6 strings for an Em, same for the F chord one step up (after playing the G) which sounds a little suspended.
I love my new J45 standard. Another great song by the way. Fleetwood Mac always works Beatles to, but there is usually at least one girl that will sing Fleetwood Mac songs or more to accompany me at a party. Later in the evening everyone wants to accompany ya. LOL!
I like your opinions of developing your own methods, and the way you teach the tunes. I play in a band looking for quick info (has to be because I am a old guy). Please keep up the great video's. I also like your Maryland shirt. My family is originally from Charles county, and I grew up in the DC suburbs. Many Blessings!
I haven't played it much, but I like it. It's a little plain-looking for my tastes, I tend to like them with all the bells and whistles. It'll be the guitar for taking on vacation. The little volume knob inside the soundhole rattles a little bit, which I'll have to address.
Great to see you playing again after the surgery and welcome to the J-45 club. Can't thank you enough for all the lessons over the years - I think we grew up listening to the same stuff. BTW when I got my J-45 I had the same rattle with the VTC knob for the Element pickup. My local guitar guy called Baggs and they sent a new one (under warranty) which he installed. Problem solved but I was a bit freaked by that rattle the first day I played it. I really like the guitar, though. Thanks again for all the tunes!
Hey James, Hard to imagine it's March Madness and there's no Duke!!! So I take it your pulling for Maryland to go all the way? good win today, Uconn shot like crap but Maryland was solid on both ends of the floor. Great to see you back strumming the guitar!!!
Glad you're feeling better. Especially glad you are back to playing and teaching. Love the way you always tell us to come up with our own version. You are an excellent teacher 😉 Thank you much!
1. Learn to use the fast forward function or be quiet. 2. Get used to the idea that very few people care what you want. 3. My lessons are free, so I owe you nothing. 4. Read all these again.
Great that you can play again. James you inspire all of us to improve. Thank You
Sounds great. I own the j45 standard 2016 model. I have no rattle on my knobs. Really enjoy your channel , keeps me playing. Thanks. 🇨🇦
Good to have you back! Hope everything heals completely.
Welcome the the Gibson rounded shoulder family, speaking of shoulders!
Excellent job...rock on my brother!!!
Good to see you on the mend waiting for the next T shirt.
Dude you're the best

Hey, how are you bonding with the j-45? how do you think it will compare to the other gibs?

Good news...welcome back!
Always played a G/F in chorus rather than a straight F. Feels a bit more truer to the chord in the actual song.

He’s back, baby!

And you, sir, make playin’ guitar fun. Mend on !
Hey,... is it OK with Nigel that you use his likeness>?..... just sayin!
Actually, he's using mine.
