As a Brazilian I'm really proud of Fuel Tech, I can't remember another Brazilian Company or brand which has been created in Brazil and become a successful company in the USA.

I called to order by phone and had the deal all set up when the guy informed me that they were located in Brazil so it would be like 60 to 90 days shipping. I unfortunately drive the vehicle daily so I had to buy it somewhere that would send it within 5 days. They do have some really good speed shops. Brazil also raced a really cool class of car called cutaways. I will try to find a video but they would build low budget vr6 gti engines and all sorts of tuner cars but they cut off the whole hatch including mounting area and spare tire well, remove all doors, hood so the car is 1400lbs and then they basically race in skeletons. They run 9s with modified cut out shitboxes. Its impressive. Like holey cheese cars.
5:58 in I never seen a car start to pop a wheelie on a dyno run that blew my mind. High revving, high horsepower, high torque, high speed what a beautiful recipe for high performance.
My first thought was that there is no way the car could use close to the 5200 HP level on the track. Well, I was wrong. RVW rules state that a big block twin turbo car weigh about 2750 lbs (Duck X rules). According to well respected published calculators, a 2750# car doing 220 mph to the eighth mile needs 4567 HP! Those saying you can't have anything that adds power, consider this, the rotating parts of the engine have momentum and when the converter locks the torque will slightly spike. An impact wrench makes little torque until it locks up multiplying it's power many times what it really makes
Way cooler than a Hypercar for less money. If I was a billionaire, I would buy one and drive it on the street. So what if exhaust kills 200HP, I still have 5000 left.
Current record is held by Stevie Jackson, 3.54. Supercharged. But the others are right there, i know a nitrous car went a 3.57 at the last race, tuned by, Stevie Jackson.
Turbo engines make 20-25% more power than superchargers due the amount of power the engine uses just to compress the air with a supercharger. These are not mechanical losses btw. This is why the turbo classes must run more weight that supercharged to help level the playing field, amd why all classes of motor sport, from tractor pull to f1 are dominated by turbo, where the rules allow. Turbos are banned in top fuel as the nrha doent want top fuel any faster. Steve Jacksons car was allowed to run less weight due to less power in supercharged.

typically dyno runs are done in one of the middle gears from low to high rpms without shifting. You don't shift in a dyno run at all because it throws off the curve and there is no need or point in doing so.
This is a Hub Dyno.. you can drive on it just as you would in a track. That means you can launch off the trans brake if you want and row through the gears as you would in a race.
torque is a force under rotation. If the rotation is steady, the moment of inertia does not do much. If you are trying to increase its speed, the inertia hurts your force being applied, but if you try to decrease its speed, the inertia can add to your force to "fool" a higher power reading that does not come from the power generated by the motor, as you are 100% correct, the motor does what it does, but its natural inertia can increase its power output at the axle during a gear shift.

They won't run those cars that distance maybe the 1/4 but the others naa, top fuel switched from quarter mile to 1000 feet because they have reached 300+ mph speeds and literally can't stop the cars, technology has to improve things like breaks, lighter, stronger materials before it can continue
