Just wanted to note in the comments, feel free to point out things I missed as I'm sure there will be, especially since I did intentionally leave some things out as they were smaller things that I felt weren't as important for just starting to learn Venom. Also feel free to ask questions in the comments, I will try to get to them!
You actually adressed one of the key things many tutorials forget... The normals and simple bnb strings! I love this, the less time I try to spend figuring out what button is useful for what situation, the more fun I will have and the more I will improve!
One small thing is that jS is venom's primary crossup button, but this might just be something you omitted on purpose. It's cool that you covered difference in travel time for ballset vs QV because it doesn't get talked about a lot, feels like something experienced players just kinda understand. Really good video (and thanks for the shoutout)!
Absolute goat. With rollback announced, I was looking for a good venom guide to learn him but there aren't many up to date or well in depth ones. You clutched up with this for me. Thank you.
"MMm yes, lets watch this close to 3 hour guide on a character i decided to pick up today, on a game I haven't touched in months, and now am interested in again because of rollback" - Me, Probably
Good stuff. What I do during the cS(3) IAD combo is to delay the 9 input so that the jump cancel is NOT buffered. If you wait until after the hitstop, 9 causes an immediate jump so it's easy to time rapid 956. I also slightly delay between jH and jD in order to get a lower jD.
agreed. i spent like 40 minutes today on figuring out how to control his airdash jump cancels and this is definitely how i got them to work consistently
I'm not sure I understand completely, I've been bashing my head against the wall I've been able to do 956 consistently in neutral and cleanly but as soon as I hit cs(3) it takes in 9 and venom doesn't dash and instead j.S comes out, I can't tell if I'm too fast or too slow or I'm supposed to delay what exactly
@@safe957 You pressed 9 too early. Because of this, it buffers the input and automatically executes the jump cancel later, when the hitstop ends. So as I said, wait until the hitstop ends and only then input 9 to get an instant jump with no buffer.
glad you enjoyed it. tbh that would be way too much work and it would ruin the fun of finding and exploring ideas on your own with venom. we all watch match videos and steal from each other constantly!
I was wondering why you were posting Xrd stuff recently. I just bought it today and needless to say my muscle memory is all fucked up considering I've only played Plus R Venom. Good stuff
yeah, people still regularly play, you wont have trouble finding people outside of degen hours. theres people of all skill levels too so its not just super good players left
@@hursh191 Oh thank goodness haha. This was one kf my first fgs and I put it off for years bc I was just too afraid but Ill just jump in. Ty hursh and I hope youre doing well❤️
it takes practice but is not too difficult to get used to. venom has different optimal combos depending on standing or crouching since neither works for both, so its just a matter of getting used to it. you can still do the universal routes as your general combo until you got the other ones down

Been waiting literal *years* for a good comprehensive guide for Venom. Thanks for making this! :)
You and me both bro

The venom god is back can’t wait to see some more rev 2 venom from ya
Ohhhh My goodness I have been looking for a length guide other then just combos for days nows. Thank you so much.

@@novriltataki okay thank you again seriously, I'll look more into the hitstop and go back to dustloop
3 hour video ohhhh man I am so ready
I'm excited to watch this through thanks for the vid I'm sure it's phenomenal!
Literally what I was looking for, learned Venom in +R with your videos but it's tricky switching to Xrd. Thanks for all the great videos!
I'm gonna watch this whole thing, fully knowing I'm never going to play Venom, but just to support the Xrd content for the algorithm
Wow, a 3 hour guide on Venom. Even though I don't play him. The time you used to make this is admirable!
Thanks for the shout out. I greatly appreciate it. You’ve been putting in a lot of great stuff with +R & Xrd venom
Just my luck that this just came out. Venom is such a fun character and I'm really hyped for rollback, thanks a lot for this.
Thanks for the content 👍🏻 ... I'll review later, hope to see a section on charge partitioning
Thank you for this guide feels bittersweet I'm learning him as rollback ends just gives me times to just training moding him
💥Great guide for Venom 💥
perfect timing time to develop my pocket venom from scratch, thanks king
bro thankyou so much for making this this came at the perfect time, I haven't been able to find a good guide like this
3 hours for one char in a game with a huge roster this game is wild 😭😭
Oh I just commented on a different vid but thank you so much for doing this! Trying to get into Xrd and Venom is so cool.
Thanks just getting into Venom and Xrd in general, this is real cool to have!
Would be awesome if you made another guide for Venom going over more setups , okizeme, overall venom tricks etc. This guide was great.
glad you enjoyed it. tbh that would be way too much work and it would ruin the fun of finding and exploring ideas on your own with venom. we all watch match videos and steal from each other constantly!
Thanks so much for this guide. Hopefully I can put the knowledge to good use
split between venom and some other characters as a main during rollback and this may be enough to tip some scales what a guide.
seems like i’m going to have some fun new tools coming from +R venom
yoooo hursh with a venom guide??.... ssicckk
this guide was so great! thank you so much!!
LESGOOOOO GOOD LETS GET THIS BREAD GOOD SHIT
thanks for the upload :)
this has been huge help thanks a ton
dam this is sick, if only i played venom
Thanks a lot for sharing!
Much appreciated 🤙🏻

The godTO strikes again
Do peeps still play xrd now that rollback is still here? Ive been thinking about getting in and learning for a long time but im so nervous haha.

What type of controller would you recommend for xrd?
it doesnt really matter tbh, whatever youre most comfortable with is best
I havin trouble with getting this combo Cs Hs Qvs I can’t string them together does anyone have like any tips lol
Why cant connect the c.s 1 hit> 5h into half circle F k 2:35:54
now im even reading the data and the hitsun of 5H is 19?? and QV startup is 20 frames
it only combos when they're crouching, it does not work if they are standing
@@hursh191 Ohh thank you. But isnt that kinda limiting to go for that route or too reactionary dependant on the attacker (venom) to do

@@hursh191 I see, I see. Thank you for being so active and always helping out!
A nearly 3 hour unedited stream is probably not the best way to try and teach anyone how to play this character.
most people seemed to have found it useful, sorry if it doesnt work as well for you though
