Thanks. I played Slayer in Rev 2 because a good friend of mine recommended him to me. This was before I even knew what I wanted out of a fighting game, and this recommendation was perfect. All the tools (and even weaknesses) Slayer has, I appreciate. Right now, I play Gordeau in UNI2 and Soriz in GBVSR. Both have the unorthodox gambling aspect that Slayer also has, in line with the "making them press buttons when they shouldn't be" mantra. I enjoyed filling in some gaps and learning from you & Rev 2. Here's hoping Slayer is still as unique in Strive, and that Strive is fun enough yet to.add Slayer! 🎉
Wow, I got into Guilty Gear with Strive and play Goldlewis and a lot of what Slayer is trying to do sounds similar to Goldlewis I'm definitely gonna try him out he seems so fun!
Very late, but there should still be setups for 2 hit chokka (air super). Those absolutely decimates health bars (and should rack up stun as well if it still behaves similar to +R) while char specific more or less, preferably in the corner, assuming those are still possible.
So how exactly do slayer combos work as I do understand that they are freeform but I have no idea on how to make a combo or what is the best options off each hit. I have been just told to figure it out and I just don't know
This video is a little bit older so my idea of free form might be off. But Slayer functions a little bit differently in the fact that you have to link your moves together instead of just immediately pressing the next button in a chain. Although not super helpful, his combo trials in Xrd demonstrate what these timings are for things like f.s > c.s, 2k > c.s and so on. For best options off of each hit, that does come with time yes, but typically trying to fit as many pilebunkers in a combo as possible, or trying to make your hits convert into j.D (the hard knockdown) is good to keep in mind when thinking of combos.

just cancer gorilla. Classic thing when bug became a feature. Cos when u cancel a move - u cancel invuls frames too. But slayer? nhah! Just give him a thing that makes ALL of his moves invulnerable. Clayer cos C - for Cancer.
2K > 2D is pretty bad because if it gets blocked you eat a full punish while getting very little reward. You can also link 2K, into c.s at close range which is safer.
The reason the background specifically is blurry is so that your focus isn’t on the background, but instead you focus on the foreground text and examples.
@@LatteSoul3603 lol no its coz he's using somebody else's footage not his own, it has to be coz the blur just sucks and referencing the source videos would've been a better alternative. If im wrong and it is his footage then it was just a bad call coz it doesn't make a pleasurable viewing experience
@@NuckleBebop yea no, its exactly what muda said. this technique is used in pretty much every movie and video to make it easier to focus on something. It unblurs whenever he wants to show an example of something like with the j.p section.
